I've been nudging my mom into the Christmas spirit a tad early--she's not thrilled with Halloween still looming tomorrow! Maybe I belong in the Philippines, where the holiday kicks off in September and runs clear through January. We drove up from Spring Hill via the scenic back roads (skipping the interstate), adding about 30 minutes but worth every leafy mile. Christmas Place exceeded all my hype: fantastic markdowns on a huge variety of decorations, thoughtfully grouped by color themes to suit every style. We barely spotted any "elves" (staff), which kept the browsing peaceful, yet the warm welcome at the door set the perfect tone. This is a magical place. I have been to a lot of Christmas places, but this one was beyond compare. You begin the experience outside before entering. You are first drawn to the huge Christmas tree. When you back from the Christmas tree photo you notice to the left side of the tree a huge lighted sign that spells Believe. How cool was that, we took a photo with the family, each claiming a letter and then moved to the front door with anticipation of what's inside. When you enter the foyer there is an incredible display with a life size reindeer and sleigh. You then step into the next set of doors and the magic begins. You are instantly reduced to a 6 year old with awe and wonder. The colors and lights are breath taking. There is a wide open space with a small house in the middle that contains ornaments that can be customized with personal names. There is a person sitting at the front of the house that will put the names on the ornaments. Around the rest of the store there are open sections with all kind of themes. They have Santa,gingerbread, nutcrackers, candy, nativity, grinch, German Christmas , and so much more. The light section is huge and has so many theme lights. My favorite was the storm trooper lights. My grandson was captivated with the fake snow you can buy in a jar. I truly love this place. The only downside was that it was very pricey, but if you can afford it then it is worth it. All the items were beautiful and made of a high quality. I am glad that I now have a resource to find those hard to locate Christmas items. read more

Great Galleries of Christmas Spirit look what we found! As amazing and lit as this store was the sheer amount of decor I was not able to find was odd. Great selection of ornaments in particular styles and your prices are all from 5.99 to 800.99 depending on the pieces you are looking for. Staff was knowledgeable and easy to find even among the glitz and glamour. Would definitely of liked to find more kids ornaments, tree topper options, and tree skirts. Will have to come back for a revisit after the holidays perhaps? read more

I'm a Halloween person, but I gotta say I was throughly impressed by this place. This is like the boutique version of Christmas store in both quality of items, unique holiday finds and the prices. Even though this place is on the pricey side, it's still great for window shopping and maybe picking up a few smaller less expensive items. They have literally everything here for your holiday needs: lots of gorgeous trees, walls of ornaments, piles of wreaths, miles of lights, nativity sets and a entire section for those ceramic customizable ornaments. Every section has it own theme like white Christmas, candy cane Christmas and the classic red and green color scheme. There's also a life-sized reindeer for about $1,300. Just a heads up, parking is tough so I suggest arriving early. They're open on Sundays! read more

Wonderful Christmas ornaments beautiful store checkout line is extremely slow and management does not care

If you love Christmas, especially classic Christmas decor then this is worth making the trip to Mt Juliet. The place is massive and the decor assortment is huge. Lots of gift options too to commemorate special occasions and I'm not talking about those personalized ornaments at the mall. This place has mementos you can pass on to the next generation if needed. My only wish is I hope they have a Christmas village section. read more

MOST DEFINITELY five stars for the beautiful holiday aestetics, the spacious 9,000 square feet, the friendly & festive staff, & all the wonderful customers who greeted me or whom I greeted. Aren't smaller towns wonderful! This Mt. Juliet Christmas shoppe is open seven days weekly. It first opened its doors on June 15, 2021. The sister store is in Pigeon Forge; it opened decades ago & boasts 30,000 square feet. Available @ this Nashville-area shoppe are a variety of ornaments; personalized ornaments; hand-blown Polish ornaments; lights & light sets; garland & wreaths, figurines; Nativity scenes; mangers; artificial snow; limited holiday children's clothing & books; Christmas books; artificial greenery for vases, etc; Christmas jewelry; candles; artificial Christmas trees; animated figurines; nightlights; small toys & games; pet sweaters; stockings; & so much more! Why not 5 stars? Mostly due to prices. Some items were marked very high even though they were similar to ones priced much lower in stores like Hobby Lobby. But I realize this store is strictly a holiday store & traffic must decrease tenfold during the other three seasons. I expected a price hike, but I was a little sticker shocked over some items-- namely the ones manufactured in poorer countries such as China & Bangladesh. The markups were simply too much. Additionally, this is not the store to shop for packaged SETS of glass, shatterproof, porcelain, or metal, etc. ornaments; unfortunately, ornament sets are few & far between. I suspect there is much more profit to be made on individual ornaments. The least expensive ornament I found in the shoppe on this visit was $4.99. It was a small, flat, one-color resin star. And it was the only $4.99 ornament-- all others were $6.99 up-- way up. Even small clip-on birds were marked very high-- see pic. But the highest prices appeared to be on the artificial greenery-- the kind one would display in vases or use to dress up a Christmas tree. On a positive note, the BIG names in Christmas decor fill the store-- Jim Shore, Kurt Adler, Christopher Radko, Department 56, & Lemax, etc. And there's a HUGE variety of hand-blown glass ornaments from Poland. An admitted Christmas-aholic who has already put up four of her seven trees, I'd buy them all if I ever won a lottery:) They were GORGEOUS! The large shoppe is arranged by THEME. There are currently 11 themes throughout the shoppe. Each area is represented by different colors, styles, & even characters. For me, the Alice in Wonderland area was the most creative & special-- SEE PICS. Prices were higher than what I'm willing to pay, but just browsing was rewarding. Strolling among the festive displays to the sounds of Christmas music was so relaxing. This is THE store for personalized ornaments. You'll find individual displays for singles, couples, & families of up to eight children. There are also personalized ornament displays based on occupations, sports, hobbies, new baby, weddings, anniversaries, etc. Immediately after purchase, patrons walk to the nearby personalization counter for the included service. The drying time is approximately 30 seconds. There is an adorable area where children can sit, write, & mail letters to St. Nick. Santa stops in to meet & greet the naughty & nice daily-- pics are taken. Hours are 3 PM to 8 PM Monday thru Friday; Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM; & Sunday from Noon to 6 PM. Two prints will cost you $20; it's an additional $5 per print, & $45 for a digital download. Group tours are available for groups of 20+. Parking might get tight nights and weekends. Shipping is available. Did I enjoy this large speciality shoppe? Of course! I even spent over $60 on a handful of ornaments for my daughter's first tree. Would I shop here often if I lived in the area? No, but only because I'm a bargain shopper who likes to find deals. There were no "deals" here-- but lots of festive beauty and nostalgia. I was in the area this week and thought I would give them a second chance. Sadly, the only representation for Black or brown Christmas decor I saw was one darker ballerina ornament and an elf on a shelf. They simply don't care, don't want to broaden their Brown and Black Santa, nativity, decor and ornament type offerings. For as healthy as their dose of religious decor is, you'd think they'd want J properly represented but nope. They've had a while to do better and stock options so they simply don't care. My mother worked in a similar business for ages and I have repped brands at many Holiday shows. I know what's available to retailers vs consumers through the Chicago and Atlanta marts, the wholesaler/brands and at what price point and what representation in holiday form is out there. While browsing several of the the decor and ornaments I found them online from the brand website (which anyone can shop) , at reg price they are 20-30% cheaper and some items from major online retailers of course for less than that. They either don't buy wholesale or are just price gauging their customers for "the experience". One of the decor items was $130 at CP and with a quick online search, I found through the brand $100, Amazon ($90) or Target ($110). One of the ornament lines I found everything full price (not on sale) 30% cheaper and I'll be buying from that brand directly. They have a whole "customize ornament room" and you can find each and every one of those at an Opry Mills kiosk for less. I love and choose to shop as much as I can at small businesses, especially for sentimental items, understanding I sometimes pay more for goods and services but am helping my community. In this case, this isn't a little bit more, most everything is obscenely overpriced, there's almost zero representation, not much of anything is special/unique or only available at a retailer and cannot be found elsewhere. read more

Was so excited and hopeful to visit #TheChristmasPlace in Mt Juliet, but found it disappointing. I love Christmas and buy holiday stuff all year. But there were only a few Black angel ornaments and two Black Santas in the entire massive place! Ans they had no ornaments or other decor that reflected Latinx, Asian, Native, Pacific Island, multi-ethnic cultures. With the Metro Nashville area growing ever more racially-culturally diverse, it is disheartening that businesses ignore the richness of our community. I personally have a collection of 400 Black and Brown Danta figurines, and I love to buy them as presents for others. *sigh* Another opportunity to serve a broader community blown by shortsighted business owners. It was beautiful, but I will not to spend money where my peeps are not acknowledged. read more

This review is not in regards to the product or the Santa pictures. Both were very suitable and what we expected from a high-end Christmas store. This review is centered around the blatant racist comments made to me by a certain cashier. What follows is an exact description of the incident: My wife and I allowed our children to pick out one ornament each on our way out of the store after getting pictures with Santa. My daughter chose a beautiful ballerina. When we went to check out, the elderly cashier ringing us up pointed at the ornament and said in a hushed voice, "are you sure this is the one you want?" I was confused at first and said "yeah, that's the one." She then said, "because this is the afro one. You sure she doesn't want the white one?" I said, "no, we're good with that exact one, thank you." It was at this moment I think she realized I was upset, and she said "not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with those people." Not that it matters, but we are a white family. And we are fairly new to the area, but we pride ourselves on raising our kids to be inclusive and loving of all people. I'm so proud of the fact that my daughter doesn't care if the figurine is white, black, Asian, or whatever race it may be. Who cares?!?! So I was appalled that we would be met with this blatant racism, and in a Christmas store of all places, and at Christmas time of all times. And this was done in front of my three children. It's absolutely disgusting. I immediately called the store number to speak with a store manager about it, and had apparently gotten in touch with the Pigeon Forge location. I explained everything to that person, who ensured me that she would notify the manager of the Mt. Juliet store, and that they would get back to me. So far, I have not heard anything back, which tells me that this isn't high on their list of things they perceive as important. It's a shame, really, that such a store based on an idea of love, generosity, kinship, and kindness can't find the time in their schedule to ensure their employees live those same values. Store is well stocked at the moment! Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday's, this was not mentioned in advertising or elsewhere that I noticed, I initially drove there on a Tuesday and while I was there looking at the door there were several other folks experiencing the same frustration. Prices are reasonable for this being a specialty store, definitely worth the trip! Staff were super helpful, friendly and product knowledgeable! I do recommend the store! read more

Such a great store. Really puts you in the holiday spirit regardless of when during the year you stop by. This store is smaller than the original one in Pigeon Forge but its still a great one to shop at. And I love that they are dog friendly. I shopped with my small pup and the staff was so accommodating to him. We went during the holidays and The Grinch was there and was trying to 'steal' my dog as his new Max. read more

I took notice of The Christmas Place when I first moved to Mt Juliet in July this year. Once November rolled around, it's been a treat to drive by as it just kept getting more & more Christmas-y. I finally made it inside a few weeks ago & let me say it is a MUST if you like Christmas. They had everything you could possibly imagine for every type of Christmas decor style you could want. It was a treat to wander through looking at all the different displays. They have something for every price point & individual tastes. I look forward to visiting each year to slowly grow my ornament collection. read more

Inventory this year is not the best; lots of leftovers from last year's selections. I really want to love this store but it is rather underwhelming comparing it to other Christmas stores I've visited. The schedule with Santa is nice for young families and the personalization station for ornaments and gifts is extensive. I don't like that you can't shop from the trees; pretty things that don't get restocked adds to disappointment. read more
