He drove all the way up to Redondo Beach to meet up with us, and we knew we had the right guy. For weddings especially, Darren was super prepared and organized. He had a whole wedding planning DJ book that he gave us to fill in during the months leading up to the big day, complete with plenty of suggestions, examples, guidelines, and recommendations. Darren is very responsive and never did we feel unconfident with his ability during the months leading up. In fact, when we don't respond on our end, he'll follow up each time, which leads me to believe that he'll go the extra mile whenever the opportunity presents itself. A few weeks before the wedding, he met up with us again, this time at the venue in Temecula. We went over details and he was very thorough. We pretty much talked about every possible scenario. He couldn't make our wedding rehearsal, but it wasn't an issue as he has a lot of experience and has done multiple weddings at that venue before in the past. On the day of, he showed up early and set up all his audio equipment as well as the upright lighting in the venue. He came with his wife who acted as a helper, and she was very good as well. Darren had all the music mapped out and planned out ahead of time, with the exact versions/renditions of the songs that we had requested. In addition, he was able to accommodate our senseless last minute changes without an issue or a hiccup. He led the Cupid Shuffle and got almost all the guests on the dance floor, and I can't wait to see that on video later. Many of our guests stayed to dance the night away and shut down the dance floor with us when the venue finally closed, so that should be indicative of how fun the night was. Looking back, I'm very glad we hired Darren as he made the day totally awesome for us.

It's operated much like an AirBnb, as guests are provided with their own keys and the hostess is not on site all the time. The hostess was very gracious! The accommodations, while retro, were quite nice - our bed was more comfortable than the bed we had the night before in a premium hotel chain. Coffee service, snacks, and a local phone are provided in a shared lounge. Central heat/air was perfect, and our shower was amazing - very hot and high pressure! We would definitely stay here again.

So close to the marina and our event we went up there for. The was a slight mixup with our reservations at their 2nd location so she arranged for us to stay at Lakeside. The thoughtful touches in our suite were numerous! Wether it was a sound machine, NetFlix on the television or board games on the shelf everything seemed to be carefully planned and followed through. This building in 1986 was once a grocery store & barroom. Then the Obey River Inn opened in 1996. Rachel & Alex bought it in 2020 and personally did the majority of the renovations! Currently it has 11 rooms that are all filled with wonderful touches like the ones I have mentioned above. It is a MUST Stay!
