This was one of the most misleading and frustrating experiences I've had dealing with any service. I was on the Social Security website looking into filing for disability when a pop-up asked if I wanted help. I clicked yes, believing I would be contacted by SSA. Within a minute, I got a call--but it was not Social Security. It was Clauson Law Firm, and that was not made clear upfront. At the time, I was under serious stress--facing financial hardship and dealing with service-connected disabilities. The initial rep was friendly and told me I had a "strong case," which built trust quickly. I was then sent documents to sign on my phone without being given a proper copy or a meaningful chance to review what I was agreeing to. What followed was a 2+ hour call with another representative who struggled to accurately complete basic information. The application ended up full of errors. When I pointed this out, I was told it didn't matter--they would submit incorrect information anyway to "lock in the filing date" and fix it later. That was a major red flag. At that point, I realized I was not dealing with SSA at all. I requested copies of anything I had signed and never received a clear agreement outlining fees or obligations--only more copies of the same incorrect application. I ultimately went directly to the Social Security office, removed this firm from my case, and handled it myself. Despite that, I later received notice that they intend to pursue fees through a Fee Petition--again, without me ever being provided a clear agreement showing what I supposedly authorized. In my opinion, this process felt intentionally misleading from the start, especially for someone in a vulnerable position trying to navigate disability benefits. If you're looking for help with Social Security, be extremely careful about who you're actually dealing with. I strongly recommend going directly through SSA or working with someone who is upfront about who they are and what they're charging. read more

Complete communication failure. All they did was send me stupid snail mail letters saying they wanted me to call. Every time i called the number they provided nobody answered. I had to call the 800 number wherein it was just some generic operator, not a lawyer or even paralegal. 6 months this went on, no action. I called them back again today and finally got someone on the horn, and she said they dropped my case. 6 months of my life completely wasted. I thought they would help me but they did nothing. They're just greedy lawyers that wanted me to do all the work then collect their paycheck. 6 months!!! I would highly recommend against this company and in fact I may sue them for their lack of representation, because I have the signed agreement. I just need the right lawyer for once. But most law firms are just greedy and like to collect $500 an hour for doing nothing. read more

I would not recommend this law firm to represent anyone on any kind of case . I had never even contacted them I already had an attorney that I hired for my disability case I received an email from clauson with some paperwork that they claimed I had signed , which I had not they forged my signature as well and the signature wasn't even close to mine .I tried calling this law firm and no one ever answered so I've sent emails to them telling them to stay off my case they rejected my first email but received the second one, and replied that they would remove themselves from my case. So now I don't know what else to do at this point my hearing is in a little over a week and clauson still has their name on my file to represent me so my original attorney hasn't received anything that he' should have received to prepare for my hearing and I've been appealing my disability case with my original attorney for 3 yrs now and was hoping it was finally going to be over but my attorney tells me that they may have to postpone my hearing because of clauson law firm commenting forgery and fraud by forging my signature and claiming to be representing me .when I've told them I DID NOT NEED OR WANT THEM AND DIDN'T REQUEST THEM NOR HAVE I EVER EVEN TALK TO ANYONE FROM THIER FIRM. Soon as I get my disability claim fixed and make sure they are removed I will be pursuing charges against this law firm for sure. I not satisfied with the service of this firm. The only thing that this firm did was submit my paper work nothing more. Im not happy of the amount of money this firm took for doing nothing. IVE called and only got some stand by answering service. Which to me sounded like they studied what to tell the clients because it was the same answer each and every time but diffrent person. And I can tell they work from home on account of I can hear their kids running around in the back ground. Not too professional for me. I won't be recommending this firm to ANYONE. read more

I feel the firm didn't represent me in the way I should have won the case. I never knew my lawyer in the case until 2 days before my date for court and I still don't know if that was my lawyer. I was contacted by the frim 3 times out of the 2 years of dealing with my case, the rest I was the one contacting them for information or giving information. I was hurt when I was denied because the lawyer last words to me is, "You did fine, this Judge approved 80% of his case and you got this". Within 30 seconds of filling out an online form, I received a phone call from the firm. I answered a few questions and was asked to wait while a supervisor decided to accept my case. It was accepted. They were very timely in sending paper work for me to sign and return. I did so. That is where the communication stopped. I had a phone interview scheduled but never received a call. Instead, I received a packet of paperwork to fill out and return. I did. I did get a phone message at 5:22 on a Friday evening. I attempted to return the call later that evening and again on Monday. The phone rang many times and there was no way to leave a message. After several attempts, I did connect with a person who kept me on the line. I was told that the person I needed to speak with was with another customer and would call me back. She didn't. I called again a few hours later . When the phone was answered , there was silence and then the call dropped. I called back and the same thing happened. To date, I have not received a call. I left a message with my supposed attorney, and she did not return my call either. I have moved on. I can't understand why they were so eager at the beginning and then stopped all follow up. I reached out to this law firm on their web site and was very quickly followed up with by an intake person. I was impressed with their diligence, but then it went down hill after that. I gave all the info of my husband's case, and I was sent an electronic contract to sign. After I signed that, I got a call at 10:15pm that same day from their intake center wanting to get my information. After I told the caller it was late, I also told him I had already spoken with someone AND had electronically signed the form. He said his records didn't show that. The next day I called to tell them I didn't appreciate the late call and I asked when I'd actually talk to an attorney. I had a few questions before I sign the physical contract they sent me. I called again the next week asking the same question. I signed the electronic form over a week ago and I cannot get anyone to call me back to answer a few of our questions before signing the official agreement to work with them. I was told that we had a good case, but since I've yet to speak to an attorney, I don't really know. I will be looking for another one at this point. read more

I was a client of The Clauson Law Firm, and have nothing but good things to say about them. Just a very heart felt Thank You! I was ready to call it quits, in the most literal way, I was going to just end my mental and emotional pain by ending my life. I figured it was impossible to get help! I feared that my past, with previous addiction issues, would keep me from getting help, but I have 7 plus years clean with documented clean monthly UA's, and I gave it up to the lawyers to help me. I assumed another denial was what would come, because of the oftentimes bias views that comes with the word 'Addict'. I got a letter with the final decision inside. I didn't want to open it, fearing the worst. I opened it, I can't explain the surreal feeling of the decision. I thought it was a mistake, but my lawyer called to assure me I was approved! and it was because of the help they gave me. I am so humble and grateful for their help!
