I knew it wasn't her thing but out of respect for me asking, that's probably why she went. It was 6 blocks from our rental. We arrived to find it a bit attractive. Walking in, it was small and lobby only had popcorn, sodas and nachos basically. We got popcorn and sodas and went to our seats. They had really nice leather recliners and movable tray to hold your food and drink. The place was clean. Speakers had great sound. Projection looked great! I was impressed. Only 4 stars as we were hungry and can't take food in but food available was very limited. Also, I would like to note that the two employees in the lobby were very nice! Thank You.

The public knows about it too, though, and it's always crowded. We went in early November and mid-December and we were shoulder to shoulder with others no matter what. Yes, I've been to Amsterdam and this looks just like them. That's because the Zwaanendael Museum was designed to honor the city hall in Hoorn, Netherlands. The museum exhibits the history and settlement of the southern coast of Delaware. I thought the train lines were very interesting as well as the Delftware on display. Perhaps you missed that Lewes was bombarded by the British during the War of 1812 (there's a house with a cannonball not far away). The museum is free but definitely accepts donations. This was my first and definitely not my last time attending the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. It's…read morea 4 day event that draws hundreds from in and around the area and features local and national jazz musicians. The concerts were held at different venues around the city (with pricing from $29 to $72). The three concerts that we chose were all held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and they were : Friday night -Al Jarreau with Marc Antoine and Steve Cole, Sat 4pm- Pieces of a Dream with Eric Roberaon and Sat 10:30pm- All Star Super Show w/ Brian Simpson, Boney James, Eugene Groove, Nick Colionne, Chuck Loeb, Nathan East and Eric Roberson. All of the shows were outstanding. Although Al Jarreau is getting old and can't quite hit the notes like he used to, it was an honor seeing this jazz legend. It was a weekend of pure jazz that any enthusiast would have thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to the concerts, there was jazz being performed by local artist in the various establishments on in and around Rehoboth occuring during the early afternoon until late in the evening. The local fire station hosted an afternoon jazz band that featured a young female saxophonist that could give the likes of Boney James and Kim Waters a run for their money. It was awesome! We couldn't come to the beach without actually going on the beach, so we strolled the boardwalk and walk out on the sand, taking in magnificent views of the Atlantic on such a wonderful, but brisk and sunny weekend. We also visited the local shops and came away with tasty nut brittle and souvenir shirts for $5 a pop! One thing to mention is that based on my observations, Rehoboth Beach is very animal friendly with folks walking their dogs along the streets and boardwalk and local merchants setting out water and treats! So check with the various hotels in the area for pet friendly rooms and bring your pooch along for the trip! We will be back for next year's festival indeed.
