I usually go to flagship Cinemas in West Ocean City, but they were booked up to see Spider-Man at the time that I wanted so I came to Gold Coast instead. I like that you can order online and reserve seats as with most modern theaters. I would say that's where the modernness ends though the theater is very dated. We had a great time at a Sunday night showing at this location. The theater was pretty empty but nice. We were in one of the theaters with updated recline seats. The concessions were typical theater prices, but the large popcorn and large drink both came with free refills. read more

NOW they downsized the regular and it f@&k $9! The points system sucks! Better to go to Movies at Midway which is waaaay cheaper or Flagship which is waaay better. I truly appreciate that so changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars. 9/3/23: I called and clearly asked for a Barbie movie at 845 and requested to have the CC device ready. They said yes and I purchased the tickets online. Upon arriving, they processed my ticket and said the device doesn't work. I asked for more information... BC usually theaters have more than one devices. They changed their story and said that it doesn't work for that specific room - - number one (I guess that's the room where Barbie was playing ). I asked them why they did not tell me over the phone. They said they do not know who I talked with over the phone. That's not the point. The point is they should be taking responsibility no matter what. They should've better prepared themselves to provide equal access to EVERYONE. They upset my daughters who were excited to watch the movie. They didn't even apologize. They didn't even give us free tickets for next time because it's literally their fault. I'm sorry to said this but I have a feeling that they knew their devices were broken for a LONG time and didn't get around to it and just tell me it's no good to scoot me away. They silently discriminated me in front of my kids. I've haven't felt this humiliated in so long. read more

Very small, and outdated. Chairs are small and need to be replaced. Prices are normal prices for movies, popcorn is terrible, ask for butter and you get soggy popcorn. Sound of the movie is good, good speakers and surround sound. read more

First off this theater is NOT in the Gold Coast mall despite the sign lol. It's behind it next to the Comfort Inn. People were nice and I can't remark on concessions as I had none. HOWEVER one HUGE caveat....If you are a larger person, like me, the seats are horrific. Recliners fit fine but the buttons inside the armrest are HUGE and your leg hits it causing the seat to constantly go up and down. I had to cup my hand next to my thigh to protect the buttons. Not fun. If you are not plus size I'm sure it's fine. If you are...avoid at all costs...(I am a movie aficionado and have visited many recline theatres with never an issue). read more

Not much has changed here since I last reviewed this place five years ago, except that matinees are now $8.50. They are slowly catching up to DC prices, but without the stadium seating. Fox Theater at the Gold Coast Mall bring back the 80th. Regular chairs, standard size movie screen, popcorn, nacho's, drinks and candies. This location is good because there a hotel next door.Rite Aide Drug Store, Candy Kitchen, Five and under, Radio Shake and Sushi restaurant that only open in the summer. Service is shortie. When we stop here for a movie the theater was open but the progeter room was locked. The person was in charge was not there until a hour later. Great price like the 80th. restroom the same. Ticket office in the out door. In all I wood go here because Ocean city has only two theater. The other theater on 143rd St on Costal HWY. Also There a Deny's Next door. Always a great place to eat before or after a movie. This theater been here sense the 70's. I saw Bill and Ted Boogies Genre and that all I remember and great when it's raining at Ocean City. read more

In Ocean City for the weekend and the SO and I decided to take in a movie. The theater was very smell and was generally pretty run down. And it smelled like feet. I swear to god, it smelled like feet in the theater. The condition of the theater was something I'd expect from a $2.00 movie theater or the like. The renovation is done and the new recliner seats are great. A very welcomed change to this movie theater. While we were just there and had no use for it now the seats do come with a built in heat element across the small of the back. This is a great feature especially in the colder months. read more

We visited a few days ago to see the new Halloween movie. We were pleasantly surprised. The theater was very small but the seats were leather and reclined. There was a lot of room between the aisles-no need to squeeze by when trying to pass the other patrons. read more

I would give this negative 5 stars if possible. The only reason it has one is because I couldn't post it until I gave it a rating. Foolishly bought the tickets online in advance thinking a rainy day would bring out the crowds. Paid $3.75 service charge on each $11.50 matinee. The price of a couples combo popcorn, 2 sodas & one box of candy is $25. The theater is outdated, the seats are absolutely filthy & I wouldn't let my dogs walk on the floor. WTF!!!!! On vacation and wanted to see the new Disney movie with the family..showed up at 10am for a 10:30 am movie..place was closed..a guy shows up at 10:05 goes thru back door and goes behind counter then not seen again until he comes outside and with a Jackass of an attitude and said the theater does not open until10:25am!! again WTF!!! At this point I took my business to the Awesome Sand and fun movie theater down the road worth the money $13 for awesome recliners seats and you get to reserve where you sit!! So I'm in ocean city for business and have the evening to myself so I decide to see a movie. The most beneficial part about this cinema is location. Other than that it is small, kind of dirty with old uncomfortable seats. Screen is small also. Small lobby and the ticket was $11.50! Ouch. Two stars is a stretch. read more

Will have to agree with the other reviewers; this theater does feel run down and in desperate need of renovation. The restrooms are in dire shape and looks like everything has been covered in sea water at least once. The seats are a little dirty, but the biggest offense is that they make a lot of noise as people get in and put of them, which is very distracting as you are trying to watch the movie. Very disappointed to pay a full $11 for a place that feels like a university theater. read more
