Funland takes me back to my childhood with the character of this partially-renovated space. This place is nostalgic. There are age-appropriate games and rides for the young and mature, making this the ideal family-friendly fun park. The rides are ticket-operated like many beach town fun parks. I kept some of the tickets as a memento. There are some instant-win prize arcade games to play, which again adds to this place's charm. They also offer popcorn, pretzels, drinks, and ice cream for sale. One thing to note is the ride attendants adhere to and strictly enforce the minimum height requirements for some of its rides, like bumper cars. I witnessed attendants turn away multiple kids who did not meet minimum height requirements despite the kids crying, screaming, and their parents visibly heartbroken that that they had to console their kids. I also observed some parents even question the determination by some ride attendants to deny their child entry to a ride despite the height measurement guideline being conspicuous; which I thought was odd. I understand parents do not want to see their children upset, however it is also true that no parent wants to see their child injured on a carnival ride when it could have been prevented. Overall, a very fun experience and my rule of thumb is if the kids love it, I love it too. I'll visit again when at Rehoboth Beach. read more

After visiting the last time, I read an article about Funland and the Haunted Mansion. We arrived around 4pm just for this ride, and found out it opens at 5. I thought we should line up already but walked around first. When we returned, a full line already so we joined. 6 tickets =$3 only. Looked like a small ride area but inside, we were weaving in the dark, through many rooms with many things to see. Worth it. Only complaint is I thought there were areas with water splashing on the riders but found out later that I had oily drips on my shirt, legs and my bag. I think it was coming from above us where the seat is hanging from. I wish I knew about Funland when my kids were smaller bec for $1 each, there were so many kiddie rides they would have enjoyed. read more

We've been to Funland at least 3 times. Our first time was about 2 months ago. We've been to similar boardwalk carnival places like Atlantic City, NJ and Ocean City, NJ. This had similar vibes but closer to MD area and my kids and I enjoyed it. The carnival games are reasonably priced. The tickets never expire. The kids love all the rides and most of the games aren't too steep compared to the other state fair games. A lot of food options, close to the beach, plenty of things to do for the family. The claw machines are so fun but will say that the parking meter maids seem to always be on top of it so make sure you have plenty of time cause they constantly check to see for parking violations. I believe my parking ticket ran out 30 mins or so after and came back to check and already got a violation. Great time for the family. My kids love the options of kiddie rides. Some of the smaller rides only require 1-4 tickets and we always are almost guaranteed a prize with some of the games. The basketball shooting rims aren't bent like ALL the other carnival ones. The horse racing, baking pan toss are are almost guaranteed a win and some of the claw machines are play till you win. Funland rides were awesome. We love the Viking ship ride, the haunted mansion opens at 5pm but the line for that one was a bit of a wait but our first time there was decent compared to some of the other haunted rides we've been to in other fairs/carnivals. Kids really enjoyed the teacup ride, race car, firetruck, and kiddie boat rides. Overall a great experience. Parking may be a little challenging and just a heads up that it is ONLY HEAD IN PARKING ONLY. Food wise there are a lot of pizza, subs, taco, candy options. A lot of the food places are overly priced but a great experience for the family overall. The beaches were nice. It was crowded at times and the water seemed a little questionable. Saw a report that the water conditions have sampled higher than normal bacteria/fecal matter and noticed a lot of jellyfish but just had the kids play in the sand. read more

We came to Funland one morning when it was overcast with our kids. The games and claw machines were super cute and fun. Our oldest loved the machine that sprayed water. We won a ton of prizes and the tickets earned can be used for rides later in the day. This was a really fun experience and we highly recommend that families with kids stop here. read more

The skeeball machines have doubled in price. While price increases are understandable, the high-value scoring cups have been intentionally damaged, making it extremely difficult to earn prizes. By contrast, the machines at the smaller arcade next door are in pristine condition. This appears to be a deliberate choice and reflects poorly on management. read more

Great old school amusement rides along the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. It really feels like you're going back in time, and no wonder since Funland has been open since 1962! Funland is a small amusement park located on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk in Delaware. It was first opened in 1939 as the Rehoboth Beach Sports Center, and was later purchased by the Faschnacht family in 1962. Funland has a variety of rides and attractions for all ages, including the Ferris wheel, bumper cars, Tilt-A-Whirl, and the Scrambler. There are also rides for toddlers and preschoolers. There is also an arcade with a variety of games. We were here last year although I did not author a review at that time. We visited here for the second time. I was here with my family of seven including two toddlers and one preschooler. I purchased 50 tickets for $30. The toddlers rode the cars, fire trucks, boats and the helicopters, which can rise up from the ground. The preschooler rode the faster teacups and played with some amusements. Overall they were all happy with their experiences. Next time I will purchase 100 tickets for $48, since the tickets do not expire. We can use them on our next visit, since we will return here for more fun. read more

A wonderful place for little kids to go crazy on rides! And the prices are not as steep as other shore towns! Everything from bumper cars to kiddie swings, jungle gym, boat rides, car rides! There are also carnival games near the front (classic where you can win prizes. Don't try the frog toss - it's nearly impossible as is the ball to cup toss) and an arcade on the side for older kids! My son was super excited to visit Funland during our vacation to Rehoboth Beach after seeing some of his favorite YouTubers visit and take video. My son is still too young (and scared) to enjoy most of the rides, we did enjoy visiting, playing games, and he enjoyed playing in the large outdoor kids gym. It's nice that admission is free, and you only purchase enough tickets you need to go on the rides/attractions. The ticket fees seemed fair, and there was never a line that was so long that we wouldn't have waited. I grew up on the west coast, and we didn't have anything like a fun little boardwalk amusement park (unless you count Santa Monica Pier), so it was nice to experience the nostalgia of the east coast beach town fun park. read more

You always need to go to FUNLAND when staying or visiting Rehoboth Beach. Great assortment of rides for all ages including the younger kids . Tickets ( fares) for the rides are very reasonable too. Great festive atmosphere and always a blast. If you want to avoid lines , Sunday night is the least busiest. Weekdays are very busy. read more

This was our first ever trip to Rehoboth and I wanted to find something fun for the kids on our first night. Not sure if it's because it was a Thursday afternoon (4:30), but we easily found metered parking less than a block from the entrance. We were able to spend a little time at the beach first and then put all of our stuff back into the car, use the restrooms (no porta potties yayyy!) that were right there and then hit the main attraction. I bought the 100 tickets for $48 deal so that all 3 of us could do some rides. Majority of them are for smaller kids, but even most of those can have an adult join (my daughter begged me to get into the helicopter Ferris wheel and it was a little snug (my head hit the ceiling) but we still fit. The thrill rides were perfect for my oldest, she did the pirate ship and this crazy upside down ride more than once. We all did the Haunted Mansion together. I loved the fact that the maximum amount of tickets needed for a ride was only 6 and the carousel was only 2. In addition to the rides, we played a few games and won some cute stuffed animals. I love that they have games where you play until you win a prize, so kids will never go home disappointed and empty handed. The maximum amount for a game we paid was $2. Skee-ball was only 50 cents a game! The crowd was very light when we got to Funland (around 5:15) but by 7:45 it was pretty busy. My kids still never waited very long for any rides at that time and I even had to extend my parking by an extra hour after we decided to walk the boardwalk. This was a great day and I see why Funland is highly rated on TripAdvisor. read more

We took our daughter and a friend here and it was a lot of fun. We were able to hang out and enjoy some fun games while the girls road rides and had some bonding time. This is a fun little place on the boardwalk where you can adventure a little bit and get off of the beaten path. It is right in front of the ocean though so you are guaranteed an amazing view. Everyone who works here is pretty chill for the most part. Sometimes you can't really understand the employees because they do come from other countries to work here. We were first timers today ... and they even gave us first timer stickers! The first staff person was so helpful we met. We stopped at a table and she explained how everything worked. Was great to have a good understanding walking in there. Thank you! We bought the best value book with having four kids. We rode 5ish rides each and did the obstacle course. We've been to other carnivals and I feel like they've always been so expensive other places. I felt like the prices here were very reasonable. The staff at each ride were nice as well. We really liked this place last year but this year, they were charging $20/person just to go into the game tent--not to ride--and the same price for a 2 year old and 66 year old who CLEARLY wasn't going on any rides. Shame on you Funland :( my kids were so disappointed we had to drive down to Trimper's games in Ocean City, which we all enjoyed. The staff here are rude and complacent, they have whole conversations in front of people and they just do not care. I'd save your money. read more

This is a great place to bring your kids! I came here with my two cousins (4 & 7), and they are regulars here. Since there is a small age gap between them, the younger one can't go on all the rides that the older one can. But not to fear! Funland has rides for every age, from swings to jungle gym to bumper cars. The ticket prices are very reasonable, as are the arcade games. There are 2 sessions each day, afternoon and evening. Previously it was a system where you bought tickets for each ride. The whole place is not that big, and it has a certain run-down charm. Don't think 6 flags / Disney, think a small boardwalk arcade. The kids had fun but probably once older than say 13/14 this might be a little small / young for them. There are pay to play games next door after you finish on the rides. Don't let them eat too much ice cream etc beforehand as quite a few rides to spin you round, make you sick ha ha ! read more

We drove from Ocean City to check it out. This place was so much fun, better then jolly Roger's. Every worker there was so nice. Nice selection of rides. They had rides for my 10 year old and rides for my 3 year old. The 4 of us went on the tea cup and it was so much fun. The amusement park is half outside and half inside. They have a great selection of games, and the old school games like hitting the frog in the Lilly pads. They had bumper cars, skee ball which you can win prizes for. Had arcade games and claw machines. We all had a great time and spent hours there. After on the board walk had lots of ice cream and desserts. About 10 years ago (Phewf... I can't believe it's been that long). About 10 years ago (put's hands on knees and bends over and starts breathing heavily). Man... I'm old. About 10 years ago I worked for a family in Cabin John MD as the personal assistant to the mother. I was a nanny. But I'm glad that they had posted the position with the title "Personal Assistant" or I might have never applied. In any event, I would watch over the 13 year old boy and mainly take him to his fencing practice, make sure he got his homework done, and occasionally I'd cook dinner for the family. It was a pretty sweet set up. The family was some of the sweetest, brightest, and kindest people I've ever met. Ok, back to the story. Every-time I would take the boy to fencing practice we would pass a sign that said "Candy Cane City." It was a parks sign as I remember it read MNCPPC in finer print below. We would pass it and talk about how grand Candy Cane City must be. We assumed by the name that this would likely be heaven on earth. Towering tree trunk thick candy canes would flank an entrance to a gum drop lined road that looped around seas of gummy bears, rolling licorice hills with snow cap snow caps, and gum ball machine plynths that held statues made out of rock candy, chocolate, and blown sugar that appeared like glass to the naked eye. For months and months and months we would pass this Candy Cane City until finally one day we decided to drive in... and you know what... the funniest thing happened. We drove in to find a child's playground that resembled a thousand other playgrounds you've seen in your life with a sign in front of said playground that read "Candy Cane City," The most wonderful thing to this day, was that when we arrived, and got out of the car to inspect the most disappointing place on earth; a child was seated on one of the posts of the sign that read "Candy Cane City", facing towards the park, literally in tears (we could only imagine over his shocking realization); the perfect metaphor for anyone who expected Candy Cane City to be as grand as it should be, but was greeted with harsh merciless reality. Ok... so what does this have to do with Funland? Funland could have potentially been the Candy Cane City of Rehobeth Beach Deleware... except... it's quite the opposite. It's actually fun! There's arcade games, there's interactive games, theres prizes that arn't those sticky hands attached to sticky ropes that get dirty immediately and become useless. There are more claw machines than I've ever seen in one place, and there is a tangible sense of enjoyment about the children and some of the adults within. So the moral of this story is Candy Cane City: Boo Funland: Yay I won two things out of the Star Wars claw machine while I was there; an evil black BB-8 and a Rey stuffed doll. Funland is exactly that - a fun lot of land that kids and adults a like get to be, well, a kid again! What I really love that most boardwalk amusement parks are abusing is the cost of games to play. At Funland, you can play games from $1-$2! If you go to the Jersey Shore or Six Flags, you're shelling out $6 a game! I thank you Funland for not sucking my wallet completely dry and letting everyone get in on the fun! Tickets are available for the kiddies to ride rides like the carousel, helicopters, cars, boats, swings, and much much more. Adults can opt for the beloved bumper cars or the haunted mansion; both are great carnival fun rides that get you smiling. There's skee ball and whack-a-mole for those nostalgic lovers and fruit ninja for the more technologically advanced. All and all, this is a great day or night activity for the whole family! We frequented Funland every night of our 5 night stay, and couldn't imagine ended our day any other way! read more

Buy the wristband for $23 - it's worth it instead of fumbling over tickets all day.
