Brenda is a delight! She's professional, friendly, and easy to chat with, while being efficient, thorough, and hard-working. I really appreciate her attention to detail, and the care she takes with our furnishings and personal items (she's also great with my dog). It especially means a lot to me that she always makes me feel like I'm in the "no judgement zone"! Hannah is now our regular, recurring cleaner, and she is wonderful! She's also great with our dog, responsive to specific requests, polite, friendly, and efficient. She is punctual and pleasant. I tried to hire The Cleaning Advantage and unfortunately they were a no show. When I booked them on a Tuesday I went through all the information with them, what we wanted them to clean and how big the house was, etc. Our house was dirty from a construction job and we were expecting to move in that weekend. We got everything set up by 8:30am Tuesday and booked for Friday afternoon. We got to the payment portion and I actually had to jump on a call for work since it had taken a while, so I asked her to call me back in the afternoon at any time. She called back at 3:30pm and at that point I had another important and unexpected call that was just ending, so I asked her to give me just 10m and call me back again and apologized for the inconvenience. She never called back. I didn't think about it again until Friday when they just didn't show. No call or warning before hand - not on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Worst of all? When I called to ask why they didn't show, she flat out blamed me and said that they never heard from me. I replied that they never called me back. She said it was the end of her day. Ok? What about Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday morning? Since your cleaners weren't going to come until the afternoon on Friday. There was plenty of time to give me warning. You could have emailed me and told me you wouldn't show up without payment. But I didn't receive a call or an email. I don't expect you to do work without payment, but I expect warning before you just don't show up. And now we are moving into a house covered with dust becauase they didn't have the decency to call. I would have rescheduled with them, but quickly decided not to after receiving an attitude on the phone when she didn't do her job. read more

I cannot say enough great things about The Cleaning Advantage! We originally used the team to come and clean our house in Shrewsbury right after we closed in August 2015. Karen's team did an amazing job - but we weren't ready to commit to regular cleaning. We asked Karen's team back a few times during the next year and they always did a superb job so we finally signed up and now we couldn't live without their help. We've been customers of the Cleaning Advantage for many years now, and we've always found them to be thorough and trustworthy. Often, a single person or a small team will be assigned to the house for a long, ongoing period. For the past couple of years, David has been our regular cleaner, and he always does a fantastic job. We make it a little tricky for him, as we often work from home -- but he always checks on how to sequence the cleaning so the vacuum doesn't interrupt important calls. I hired the Cleaning Advantage for a deep clean and it was an absolutely awful experience. Two cleaners apparently worked a total of 10 hours. I don't know what they did as the floors were still visibly dirty, and their were many cobwebs and huge dust bunnies. Numerous items from their own checklist (available on the website) were not done. For example, the outside of the patio door was not cleaned, the lampshades and bases were not cleaned, a set of louvered closet doors were not dusted, the top of microwave was not cleaned, the couch cushions were not removed and vacuumed under, numerous baseboards were still dirty, chair rails were not dusted, chairs were not dusted, dirty under dining room table, stair banisters not cleaned, and a dirty, wet rag was left on an upholstered chair all day, etc. (the list goes on). For this I was charged $400. The owner, Karen, came by this morning, supposedly to fix everything. She entered my house wearing winter boots. When I told her that I needed her to remove her boots, Karen declined. She stated that OSHA requires her to wear shoes while cleaning. I said fine, do you have clean shoes to wear? She did not nor did she have booties to put over her dirty boots. Karen stated that since she would vacuum and mop the floors it didn't matter. Based on the cleaning job her employees did the day before, I told Karen I disagreed. While I was calling my husband to see if we had booties she could use, Karen said never mind, I'm going to leave and go back to my office and refund your money. She declined to do any work in my house to remedy the poor job her employees did. Karen said that she thought I was being very unreasonable, presumably about the dirty shoes in the house issue. I obviously disagree. Over the years we've had numerous workers in the house, including contractors, painters and electricians. Every single one has either voluntarily put their own booties over their footwear or removed their dirty shoes and worn clean shoes in our house. Based on my experience, I would never recommend the Cleaning Advantage to anyone. This is a real shame as I believe in supporting local, independent business owners. I hired the Cleaning Advantage several years ago to clean our house when we first moved in and was very pleased with the quality of their work and their efficiency. I never expected to be so disappointed this time around. I will note that I spent the entire weekend before the cleaning people came organizing and tidying up every single room in the house. In that respect, my house was in excellent condition. There were absolutely no messes that needed to be picked up before cleaning could begin. read more

Crystal is a great cleaner and a very pleasant person to have around the house. We've had her for about 7 or 8 months now, and she is the best. Whenever she has a helper for the day, she also ensures they clean to her high standards, which I really appreciate. She even goes the extra mile and brings packages in for me when they are left at my garage just to lend a helping hand. I trust her and this business completely! I started using The Cleaning Advantage about 3 years ago (April 2017), first with a deep cleaning. We had just moved into our house and I was pregnant and wanted to bring our new baby home to a clean house. That turned into a bi-weekly cleaning service of selected rooms and services, which helped this new mom tremendously. Since then, there's been a second baby and a rag tag team of pets we've been sitting for family members. Tiffany is great with both, handles my MILs anxious & loud (but sweet) giant black lab wonderfully, and likes our dog (even when he steals her cleaning cloths). Once I left a note when I was completely overwhelmed with a toddler and a 7 month pregnant belly apologizing for our mound of dirty dishes (not in the cleaning contract, nor should it be!) I came home to a clean sink and cried - Tiffany is amazing! Karen is always communicative, proactive, & very flexible with scheduling due to holidays, snow days, etc. Our house never smells like chemicals, only clean.
