Title: Extremely disappointed - Not a "Deep Clean" by any standard ​I hired The Cleaning Authority based on their high ratings, but my experience was the complete opposite of what I expected for a professional cleaning service. I was charged $150 per hour ($75 per person) for what turned out to be a basic and superficial job. ​Despite the high price tag, the "deep cleaning" was incredibly poor: ​Lack of Detail: They missed basic areas like baseboards and corners, leaving behind visible dirt and debris (see photos). ​Neglected Surfaces: The blinds were left covered in dust and grime, which is one of the main reasons you hire a professional deep cleaner. ​Unprofessional Interaction: Upon arrival, the cleaners were dismissive and didn't acknowledge me when I greeted them, rushing off before I could even finish walking them through the home. ​Inadequate Resolution: After seeing the poor quality of work just an hour in, I asked them to leave. I was charged $225, and the management's solution was to offer a different team for only 30 minutes the following day. ​Thirty minutes is not enough time to fix the failed deep cleaning areas. I feel completely overcharged and taken advantage of for a service that was never delivered. Save your money and look elsewhere if you actually want your home cleaned properly. A "satisfaction guarantee" isn't just a marketing slogan; it's a contractual promise that the work will be done to a professional standard. I am greatly saddened to have to make this review and I hope anyone that sees this takes time to read. We have used The Cleaning Authority for 6+ years and loved them since day 1. Unfortunately in beginning of September '24 a family heirloom was taken from our home, not only was this item meant for future generations but it was commemorate my parents 10 year wedding anniversary. This ring is valued over $15,000 but to us is worth more than anyone could fathom. We have trusted their staff for so long and to have them do this to us has been heartbreaking. We have reached out to the Hillsborough county sheriff and our detective has been in communication with both ladies, unfortunately both are now declining to take a polygraph which confirms our worries. We never wanted to think that they would do this to our family and we are greatly saddened by this situation. We have offered to drop all charges with the return of this ring and that will still stand, all we want is our family heirloom returned with no questions asked. I have used Cleaning Authority 6 or 7 years. I've been happy and satisfied. They have a rotation list they follow...clean all my home each time but give extra attention to half my home. This company was hired to do a move out clean for an empty house. They didn't even have to do the floors, because those were being replaced. When contracting them, it was suggested that due to the lack of cleaning that had been done in the home for years, they should send 3-4 people for 6-8 hours. We didn't even complain about the price, because we knew what was needed. There were 2 people for less than 4 hours. I thought "Wow, they are super fast" until we went back to the empty home to check. The AC was left turned down to 74 degrees, which is awesome in Florida. The walls had not been wiped down, baseboards had not been cleaned. The oven had not even had the self clean run. The fronts of cabinets had not been cleaned or wiped down, and the master bath shower stall was not clean. I have no idea what they did do for the few hours they were there, but they certainly did not do a move out clean. We basically paid them $200 so we could then turn around and spend six hours cleaning the place ourselves. read more

The worse cleaning service ever. Anyone that uses there service check your floors I can guarantee you they are dirty. They do not clean your floors before damp mopping, all they do is turn dirty floor in to wet dirt to dry on your floors. I paid them 180.00 to clean, and do some deep cleaning they didn't even do regular cleaning. 2 ladies were at my home less then 1 and half hours, after they left I had to do my counter tops, clean my floors, and somethings were not dusted. When I called to voice my concerns about a particular pair of associates that came to my house the lady that I spoke to would not take my concerns seriously and then began arguing with me. I can not do business with people who treat their customers this way. read more

The company does a good job and is generally responsive to our concerns. Claudine, Temeka, and Dominique did a good job. I definitely recommend the company. They have been flexible with us when we needed to adjust our schedule and for the most part we think they keep up our home well. There is a difference in attention to detail depending on who's cleaning that week so that is why only four stars. read more

I am so thankful for Kimberly, Tiffany and Tori. My house is kept clean on a regular basis so I can enjoy life and not worry about keeping my home clean. What they do would take me 8 hours or more and I still wouldn't get it as clean as they do. Is it perfect every time? no, but they listen and fix it quickly afterwards. I love having them clean my home and can't say enough about you should use The Cleaning Authority to clean your home too. Where has the customer service gone! I had service with them when it was owned by Milton. Wow! What a difference a new owner makes. The company came to my house on a Thursday to give a quote, told me he would call me on Friday to schedule. Never called, I had to follow up with him on Wednesday only to be told that he wasn't sure if they should be cleaning our house. I was shocked. Basically, Chris, the owner told me that they didn't want my business. I guess he didn't like the fact that I told him that they were the most expensive and I would not continue their services if the cleaning was not satisfactory. The day of customer service is gone. I would never recommend them nor use them. Just sad! read more

HOMEOWNER BEWARE - this franchisee doesn't run a good business. Generally Cleaning Authority in other parts of the country are top notch (I used to own a competitor franchise in another state). He talks a good talk on the phone or at an estimate, but when it comes to the clean, his employees are not fully trained and he doesn't vet them properly. He doesn't know the concept of customer service or that the customer is always right...as he is defensive and argumentative. His teams use pumice bars in other areas outside of the toilet and do nothing about cross contamination of cleaning rags and vacuums. They do not clean from top to bottom and they follow no process of how to start cleaning a room at a certain point and go through it so they end in the same spot. On at least one occasion one of his employees used oil on my stainless steel appliances, which of course looked great on that clean but streaked on all other cleans after when a cleaning product was applied. They leave notes at the end of the clean, and they lie about what employees were in the home. We came home on more then once occasion and didn't know either of the employees in our home, yet their note had the names of the team we had been requesting. We used his service for almost a year as the clean was better then us cleaning or the headache of shopping for another service. We had a move out clean and it was a disaster. They sent new employees at 3:30 pm to do what should have taken 2-4 hours. They had to send another team, as the first team didn't know what they were doing and would have been there all night. They wasted time cleaning freshly painted baseboards that didn't need it and missed so much that we had to keep going back to have them fix things. In the end, they didn't clean anything high (even with their extension tools) - no top of fridge, light fixtures, ceiling fans, door frames, top shelves in cabinets, shower rods, etc. (remember this was an empty house). We had to go back and fix everything as we had to turn over the keys the next day. We received no accounting of the teams time and we asked that our credit card not be charged until we resolved the issues. When we asked for some type of credit on the hourly, he stood by the quality and time of his employees AND ran our credit card BEFORE calling us back! And now....he refuses to return our house key to us in person (we don't want it mailed or left under our mat). Save yourself the headache and don't use this franchise! read more
