We were customers of the cleaning authority for more than a year, and at first things were fine... a little inconsistent since it's different teams at your house every visit but that's to be expected. About 4 months ago though, things started going downhill. I came home to find my main couch and coffee table had not been cleaned. Blankets were strewn about and the coasters were still out from our morning coffee. This led me to email the owner with some feedback and sharing the inconsistencies that I had been experiencing. It took the better part of a business day for my email to be responded to, and it was only after I followed up that I got a response. More recently though one team attempted to fix a drippy bathroom faucet by over-rotating the knob, causing a major leak that dripped down to our kitchen which is being renovated. Nobody realized this happened until hours later when my husband saw the wet spot in our construction zone. Jorma came over right away but was making excuses for the team instead of a simple "wow, I'm sorry that happened, what can I do to make it better". What's more though is that 2x the team has knocked our grill pan on (we have a temp kitchen set up during construction which has been the case for the past 4 months). The grill pan clicks when turned on. Putting the safety of my house and family in danger is unacceptable to me. I emailed to cancel my service after the second time and nobody responded to my email. I also emailed about getting my house key returned and nobody responded to that either. Only after I showed up to the Mamaroneck office location with the bottle of cleaner that was left on my coffee table, found it locked at 10 Am, and called Jorma directly was my email acknowledged. The price is definitely the best in town, and there were definitely times we got great cleans... but the lack of customer service put the nail in the coffin... simply saying "wow I'm so sorry" would have gone such a long way. read more

First, the crew was 1 1/2 late without a phone call informing me. I don't blame the crew as much as the office. When I called to inquire where they were the lady in the offices offered no apology for the inconvenience. I left a message for the woman who came out the day before for the estimate and as of today I am still waiting on a call back. Only one crew member spoke English so communicate was an issue. After they left I noticed my dogs hair on the carpet in the master bedroom. I vacuumed it again and was able to fill a couple of vacuum cups with ease. It appears she did not vacuum in that room at all. I didn't bother to call the company as my satisfaction was obviously not important to them as shown in my first attempt at a call. This was my first visit by this company at a cost of $135. 2 referrals and my biweekly service have been lost because of my experience. I picked this service primarily because it was a professional service, not a mom and pop business. I can't believe how unsatisffied and let down I am. And sadly, I'm sure nothing will be done based on this honest review either. My only recourse is to put all of this information on Yelp to at least help my fellow customers. Do not use this service - they do light surface cleans it's not worth it and then after a month or so they began to get even worse. They always sent different cleaners each week and furthermore they became more and more careless. I had an expensive piece of furniture scratched and the owner looked at said he would get back to me. A week passed with no word from him - I had to find a repair guy and get an estimate myself. Instead of paying for the damage they credited me the amount towards future cleaning- this would have been fine but they very next cleaning they spilled cleaning products on the carpet ruining it. I attempted to resolve this issue with the owner - but he denied responsibility. So incomplete payment for the scratched furniture and unpaid fro ruined carpet. Started using their service last year. In the beginning it's pretty good but getting worse recently. They usually send two staff, one leader and another junior staff. The leader will always come but the junior staff might change (maybe this just happened to me). Couple times they left dirty cleaning clothes in my bathroom, in my trash bin (outside the trash bag) and in my basement. I guess that's not a big deal but still annoying. Later on, they left a spoon in my food disposal, and I didn't realize it until I use the disposal and you know what happened....This morning they came to my house for the cleaning service and my husband text me saying a really bad thing: when they clean my desk, they spray the solution on it without removing my purse on it.That's not professional! In addition, to clean a 3300 sqft house, they came at 9:08 and left at 10:28?! That's super "efficient", and I'm really concerned whether they have done their job! So disappointed and definitely gonna change them and will not recommend to anyone. read more

Cleaning Authority in Mamaroneck/Rye is good value for money. Generally reliable, show up weekly when scheduled unless sickness/childcare issues. In that case manager calls. Good efficient clean and can tailor what cleaning you want. Crews change over time, understandably; current crew of Miriam and Marilyn are very hard working and pleasant. read more

Beware of TCA - they don't know how to clean handmade rugs. Their vacuum that they brought tore up parts of our valuable handmade rugs. When we told the owner about it, he apologized but refused to refund our money. I have called many times to the parent company; they promise to return my calls but never do. So not only did they ruin our things, but they didn't do anything about it. STAY AWAY!!! read more
