Where do I even start…read more My experience with Westchester Cleaning Club has been consistently frustrating and unprofessional, driven almost entirely by poor management and communication, not the cleaners themselves. To be clear: the cleaners are generally very nice, polite, and sweet, and when they clean, they do a good job. That said, there is a serious disconnect between what is included in services and how that is communicated. At one point, when I asked the cleaners to open the windows and clean the base inside, I was later accused by management of "micromanaging." Only afterward did I learn that this was considered part of a deep cleaning service. Rather than explaining this clearly and upfront, the situation was mishandled, and the blame was shifted to me. The cleaners should be empowered to speak openly and clearly about what is included, instead of staying silent and then having clients labeled as difficult. Early on, even basic services were missed (for example, floors were not mopped). When I raised concerns, I was told that the cleaners had requested not to be sent to my home anymore, only for the company to later walk that back and say it was "probably a misunderstanding." That alone should have been a warning sign. In October 2025, I had a cleaning scheduled and confirmed for December 28, 2025, which was cancelled at the last minute, allegedly due to weather, despite no official weather advisory or hazardous conditions. The cancellation only happened after I emailed to ask whether the appointment was still confirmed. The final straw was January 30, 2026. I had prepaid for the cleaning, and it was explicitly confirmed twice by voicemail earlier that week. No cleaners showed up. When I called, I was told for the first time that the appointment had been cancelled because I had not "confirmed," even though I was never told reconfirmation was required (and it never had been before). When I questioned this, the representative Victoria hung up on me, twice. Even more concerning: when I called from the phone number associated with my account, no one answered. When I called from a different number, they picked up immediately. I was also told the company had stopped servicing residential homes--yet residential cleaning is still prominently advertised all over their website. This is not about one missed cleaning. It is about repeated last-minute cancellations, inconsistent explanations, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism and accountability from management. I have emails and voicemails documenting all of this. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. The cleaners deserve better support, and clients deserve honesty, transparency, and basic respect.

Showed up late, left early, ended up having to vacuum and dust after they left, and they had to return after I told the owner that the baseboards in my bedroom were left filthy. My things were not returned to how they were found and my kitchen floor was barely mopped. I work two job and I NEVER have anyone clean my apartment, but I only have one day off a week and for once, I didn't want to spend it cleaning. I paid what was owed because I didn't want no static with these strangers in my home, but I would not recommend this cleaning service to anyone. They're gonna tell you they are going to clean this, that, and the third, and proceed to do a half ass job. Going to have to find another service because this was not worth the money or time. UPDATE: After the owner decided to not take accountability for a terrible job, I will expand. I did say that an hour later would be great, not realizing that they would rush the job and still leave at the original time (when Carlos arrived, he told me that they would do two hours instead of three I was paying for because they had another job scheduled after and needed their "rest"). None of the shelves throughout my home were dusted. If I'm paying for a deep clean, why should I have to point out obvious dirt throughout my home. Clean EVERYTHING (which in this case includes surfaces and baseboards). When they came back to clean the baseboards in my bedroom, they literally did so without vacuuming the floor and just wiped across the board with a rag. I had to vacuum my rug and my floors because there was still debris on them throughout my apartment. So yes, Carlos, I did leave a one star review because you all did a terrible job. And yes, Carlos I leave a lot of reviews (most of which are pretty good). But you Carlos, and the two women with you, did not do a good job so maybe next time, do better, instead of talking my head off about what a great job you're gonna do. The customer shouldn't have to tell you to wipe down every surface and clean every baseboard in a deep clean.

I get that many people have more than full schedule, but still... After getting the thorough cleaning from Maid First, I now understand the value of the cleaning service. I had 3 hours of cleaning scheduled, and I mainly wanted the bathroom and kitchen cleaned more than any other space. I didn't know what to expect, but I was excited about the cleaning service. The young female arrived about 15 minutes later than the 2-hour window of arrival due to subway delays, but she did stay and cleaned the entire 3 hours and plus. I didn't have a tight schedule on this day, so the delay was not that much of a big deal. But, I would've liked them to notify me of the delay. I was working in my home office during the cleaning, and I could hear her cleaning (quietly) the entire 3 hours, I didn't hear her taking any break at all. Before she finished up, she asked me to come and check the rooms and let her know if I wanted her to clean anything else. The apartment was very, VERY clean! Everything was shiny, you could see and touch the cleanliness of the room. Especially the dusting was phenomenal. I have a wine bar cabinet that was noticeably dusty against dark wood color. It had no dust after she was finished! She also cleaned inside and out of the microwave to sparkling clean. She even cleaned my kettle that was on the oven! She did great job cleaning bathroom and kitchen, and then moved onto the other rooms, dusting, wiping, mopping, etc., etc... She cleaned the whole apartment! I don't know how many times I said "wow" looking and touching all the sparking surfaces... She was lovely and polite, although English was not her first language, we didn't have much problem communicating. I provided with the Swiffer, duster, and toilet brush, and she brought everything else that she needs to clean with her. Whatever she needed, like a broom, she came and asked me. It was a very pleasant experience, and I totally enjoyed my super clean apartment! Thank you!

I was using the service for about 2 years and it was good until the person that usually came left the service and said it's because they don't pay them well. Unfortunately everyone after that has been pretty bad. The most recent person (i) broke my oven door (she literally unscrewed it for no reason and didn't tell me she did and then couldn't get it back on so now I have to call someone to fix it and potentially buy a new door, (ii) went into my medicine cabinet to "organize" (there's nothing important in there thankfully but I never asked her to do it and no one has ever tried to do that), (iii) moved a dirty wet mop from under the sink (where she got it) into my clothing closet, and (iv) didn't actually clean the bathroom mirror, toilet, sweep the bathroom floor or vacuum the rug (yet had time to go into personal cabinets and drawers). After she broke the oven door I reached out to the Maid First and they didn't offer to help with anything. They only responded to me after I said they should still charge me the amount because I didn't want them to not pay her (given I've heard from other people who they have sent that they aren't being paid that well). I would suggest using another service that pays people well and provides more consistency.
