We've been bringing our little Lily here for a while now and we never leave disappointed. The lady does exactly what she ask for. Our Lily always comes home with fancy little bows on her. Oh and she always comes home with little snacks.

This was how he was given to me. She still wanted $40 for a completely botched job! Zero professional integrity

Absolutely livid with my last experience here. I have been here twice in the past - this last time will be my last. I always ask for the same summer shave for his chest, belly and behind. I took a picture after the second time because I liked the length of his coat (a picture says a thousand words and clears up any miscommunications that can occur when trying to explain how short to cut hair). I brought my Aussie in to have the same done. I verbally expressed what I wanted. The owner confirmed she remembered my dog and cut from last time. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. She confirmed that it made sense to her. Upon pick up, I find my dog to be completely shaven. My heart sank and the words to describe just how frustrated and upset I was escaped me. I was baffled at her response when I told her this was not what I asked for. She told me he looked shaved in the reference photo (photo included below, you be the judge yourself). First of all, I communicated my needs and showed her a photo of her previous work. Second, if there was ever a doubt in your mind of what I wanted, why didn't you pick up the phone to call me before shaving my dog bald in the dead of winter! Why would you in good conscience proceed to do that or not even pause to consider perhaps that's not what's best for a dog during winter. I'm really not sure how I could have communicated my needs better. I put my faith in this "professional" and was colossally let down. All of this was beyond logic for me and serves to illustrate the unprofessional and nonsensical decision making of this individual. On top of all this, she still asked for $40 (I paid as not to make a scene)! Where is your professional integrity?! How could you ask for money from a customer who was so clearly upset and has given you previous patronage. In closing, what a terrible and traumatic experience for both my dog and I. Please, for the love of dog, take your business elsewhere.

Zero fade. Looks so choppy and is way too close!

Alex took her time and remained totally calm as my dog thrashed around, screamed like she was being killed and attempted to eat and claw my face off. When my dog sprayed her anal glands then pooped on the table, she didn't bat an eye. Eventually, we got my pup into a little tiny muzzle and finished up her front paws. I'm so grateful for this place and the fact that they did not once make me feel like a bad pet owner because her nails had gotten so long waiting on a vet appointment. They also didn't charge extra for all of the commotion and anxiety my pup brought along for the visit. This is my new go-to spot for all things grooming!!

I checked the website and even called ahead, and nowhere did I see anything saying they would be closed. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was a tiny sign on the door letting everyone know they were closed for the week for training. We definitely weren't the only ones who missed the memo either. While we were there, other people were pulling up looking for their services as well. I completely understand closing for training. That makes total sense, and honestly, I appreciate a business taking the time to make sure their employees are properly trained. I just wish there had been some kind of notice on the website or the voicemail before making the trip over. A quick heads-up would have saved us, and apparently quite a few other people, from making the drive for nothing. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning a trip over.

I normally don't write reviews, but after seeing what happened with our dog, I feel like I have to…read moresay something. My wife brought our extremely small toy poodle here after we recently moved to the area. We were hoping to find a groomer closer to home, and everything seemed fine when she dropped her off. We specifically asked for a teddy bear style cut, with her body left long and fluffy. We also explained that there were a few areas where she may have been matted and made it clear that we wanted to be informed if that was going to affect the haircut. What happened afterward is honestly unbelievable. When we picked her up, she had been shaved down almost completely. This wasn't a slight variation from what we requested. She looked completely different from what we specifically asked for. And here's what really bothers me. WE WERE NEVER CALLED!!! If she was too matted to safely leave her hair long, or if she was difficult to groom, then CALL US. Give us the opportunity to make that decision. Instead, someone at the shop apparently decided to completely change the service without our knowledge or approval. I was also told that our dog was "fighting" the groomer while being brushed. She's an XS toy poodle, so if there was genuinely a problem handling her, that should have been communicated to us immediately. You don't wait until the dog is finished, shave her down, and then casually explain afterward why you did something completely different. She was there for around three and a half hours, and for that amount of time and money, I expected an actual grooming service not for someone to essentially shave her down and send her home. To make matters even more frustrating, she didn't even smell particularly clean afterward. She still smelled like the bath my wife had already given her at home. So at that point we're left wondering what exactly we paid for. I'm not upset because the haircut wasn't "perfect." I'm upset because we weren't listened to and we weren't given a choice. If the requested haircut wasn't possible, we should have been told BEFORE they proceeded. That's basic customer service. My wife was devastated when she saw her. I was angry because our dog was left looking nothing like what we had discussed, and the entire situation could have been avoided with one simple phone call. This was a complete failure in communication and professionalism. We trusted this business with our dog and expected them to communicate with us if there was a problem. Instead, they made the decision themselves and left us to deal with the result. We're currently waiting to hear from the owners because I genuinely want to see how they're going to address this. At this point, I would not recommend this groomer to anyone who actually cares about getting the haircut they specifically requested for their dog. Very disappointing experience, very poor communication, and absolutely not worth what we paid.

I had a very disappointing experience with Waggers. When I first called to make my appointment, I…read morespecifically explained that I have a 3-month-old puppy who has not yet received his rabies vaccine. I was told that this would not be a problem because they do not require puppies to have a rabies shot for grooming. When someone called later to confirm my appointment, I asked again to make sure. I clearly stated that this was my puppy's first grooming appointment and that he still had not received his rabies vaccine. Once again, I was assured that it was not an issue. However, when I arrived for the appointment, I was turned away because my puppy didn't have a rabies vaccination. This was incredibly frustrating because I had already made special arrangements at work, took my lunch break later than usual, and coordinated with my daughter to pick up the puppy after his appointment. If this is your policy, that's completely understandable--but I should have been told that from the beginning, especially after asking twice. Instead, I wasted my time, rearranged my day, and left feeling very disappointed. Better communication and consistency with customers would have prevented this entire situation.
