These very professional people talked him through the process a few times and eventually got it all on track. We were looking for a mantel clock for a coworker who was retiring but waited last minute on the one we wanted to get her and needed it by the next day. Called around locally to see if anyone had it but no one carried that brand. Searched online and found that The Clock Depot had one. I called and spoke with Joseph to see if it was even possible to get it overnighted. He was very helpful and said yes he could do that and that he would take it to FedEx personally to make sure it went out. Joseph even walled after he dropped it off to let me know it was on its way. We got it the next day by 10:00 am and was even able to take it to get it engraved just in time. She so surprised and was so touch about the clock that we gave her. They received my clock and ran for several days in their shop and made adjustments as were needed prior to delivery. Then Robert personally delivered my new heirloom to my home. In the End , I purchased a Howard Miller Celine ( a Corner Clock ) from Robert and the transaction went extremely smooth. Customer Service from Robert was outstanding . I had the pleasure of meeting an outstanding individual today, Joseph, at the Clock Depot. I brought in an small table clock my cousin & I had found at a thrift store. It was just the perfect size to sit by my TV & very attractive, but the hands were flopping around now. Joseph took one look & told me it was an easy fix & that I could just pick up the new gizmo it needed at A C Moore. I could not believe it, as two days ago, a clock repairman had told me it would be $150 or more with no promise it could be fixed. I just want to say thanks to Joseph's kindness & helpfulness today, my clock is now working great. He had all kinds of tricks he knew to overcome challenges it had. Is this really the place to purchase a Howard Miller Clock?? You may want to read my experience before trusting this business with the important decision on investing in an expensive floor clock. When my clock arrived, being sent from Howard Miller Factory, IT HAD NO PENDULUM INCLUDED. That's right, nearly $5,000.00 spent on a clock as payment expected in advance, and NO PENDULUM. Now, it seems if one orders a new car the steering wheel is present. Same difference, the entire excitement and anticipation of a beautiful clock as advertised as "an heirloom for generations" arrives neglectfully packed! Now one must wonder - what else was "forgotten"!? At, the very LEAST one should be compensated in some way for such a debacle, BUT NO - the Clock Depot left a message on my phone they were going to send a pendulum but it wasn't "shiny" enough (?). Howard Miller, should spend more on quality control than advertising! I know my experience with both of these businesses was the worst possible experience! NEVER will I recommend in any way the use of these establishments to anyone! Howard Miller did not care to compensate either and to that end, I put the question to a potential buyer - with other clocks and other clock shops, do you really want to invest your time, anticipation and money here?? My purchase was for an ambassador collection Nicolette floor clock. I write this review after one full week of receiving the correct pendulum and absolutely not one follow up call - Is that customer service?? NOT IN MY OPINION!!! I purchased a Howard Miller Clock Co. wall clock with pendulum from The Clock Depot, thinking we would be getting a quality product that was supposedly made in the USA. The pendulum gave up its habit of swinging within a few weeks. I made contact with the business, but after I asked for warranty service, the owner blew me off. Fortunately, the manufacturer responded and sent a new pendulum assembly which worked for 1.5 years. Now neither the pendulum, nor the timekeeper, are functional. Save yourself some trouble, and spend a bit more for a quality product from another distributor that will stand by their products. read more
