I frequently go to Houston so, he called his contact in Houston that he knows rebuilds platforms to see what the time frame was & then gave me their card. I will take it with me the next time I go down that way. I also have an antique bandstand clock that wasn't working properly, I took it in, they made some adjustments & I picked it up today. I checked in about a month later and he said he was ordering a part. I checked in again after another month or so and he said the part was on backorder. Fast forward, 18 months went by and I never got an update. I am moving now, so I came to collect the watch. After digging through several boxes, Ree pulled out the watch, held together with scotch tape. The case had a massive gouge in the side and the movement was missing screws. I confronted him about this and he simply denied doing anything to it, despite the fact he had obviously at least opened it and taken a look at it to be able to order the part he told me he was ordering. I hate posting this because Ree is about 100 years old now. But to save people the same fate I suffered, I feel obligated to warn that Ree is no longer capable of doing this.
