He was super thoughtful about removing and hauling things like the carpet I tore out. Prices were aligned with others in the area. I liked that Brandon does the work himself, from quote to finish. He completed 4 closets over 2 days. The closets themselves have shifted the whole feel of the rooms. Definitely an upgrade that I'd highly recommend! Lessons I learned, that you may want to heed... if you have access, get in and paint the closets ahead of time. He will do touch ups, and paint over small areas previously occupied by screws, closet bar supports etc, but that doesn't include full painting. In my case the Master closets hadn't been painted since before I moved in 18 years ago - they suddenly looked dingy contrasting with the new materials. It's none fun painting after the fact! Same thing with any flooring updates. Fortunately, I was able to tear up the carpet the evening before he did the last 2 closets. Give yourself the gift of a fully finished, high end closet. After asking me a few questions to determine my needs, he put together his recommended layout- it was exactly what I wanted. His work is articulate. We had a basic collapse in our closet with the pole that the clothes hang on falling and ripping out of the wall leaving a rather large hole in the plaster. I contacted The Closet Magician who responded quickly and told me he would stop by after he finished another job on his next work day. We assumed he would have a look maybe take some measurements and get back to us with an estimate for repairs or re-model. Instead, upon arrival Brendon pointed out that the modular unit that came with the house over twenty years ago wasn't even attached to the wall which caused it to always be wobbly. This was evening but he assured us that he would not leave until he had it repaired and secured to the wall and functional again. He proceeded to do a complete repair in about a half hours' time, covering the hole in the wall, replacing the pole and making the unit more secure than it had ever been before. We found Brendan through Yelp. It was such a pleasure working with him on our master closet. He first came for a consultation and gave us a design and the quote. He also suggested the design as we were clueless about what we wanted. He also assured us that if after the closet is built we need to switch up the design he'd be happy to accommodate that. He was very responsive throughout the whole process. Since the pandemic we have seen a lot of delays in materials and construction, but Brendan's estimates was pretty much on time. The whole process took about a ~month which was very less compared to the other estimates we got. On the day of the installation Brendan demoed the old closet and patched up paint wherever required.
