After 8 months, got tired of waiting and filed BBB complaint. Still took months for Shawn to contact me and get a rep and come out to look at the damage. He said the flooring company offered 1,000 sq ft replacement. Shawn and the rep finally came out and looked at the flooring a couple months ago (after a year). Shawn said he would contact me with a decision in 2-3 days. I haven't heard anything from Shawn and he will not respond to my texts during the past 2 months. I have all of the texts and communication documented. Dan had left the company quite awhile ago. I ran into him a couple days ago. Told him what happened. They've lied to me and cheated me out of my hard earned money…read more I ordered 500 sq. ft of Bruce, high gloss finish, hardwood flooring from these people March 31, 2015, to tie in with my existing floor. I first spoke with the owner, Andrew who told me he'd meet or beat Lowe's prices (1st lie) then he turned me over to his salesperson, Debra. She quoted me $3.29 sq. ft. for a satin finish, $4.65 for high gloss. I ordered high gloss, which is what I already have in my home. After the flooring was half installed, I could see the finish was satin. I called Above Board Flooring immediately, told them I didn't expect the hardwood to be torn up and replaced but I did expect to be given the $1.26 difference in price they up charged me for high gloss. They refuse to take repsonsibility, putting all the blame on Debra, who convienently doesn't work for them any more! I sat with Debra, in her office when she called Bruce directly on March 30, and inquired about the high gloss finish, and they assured her they could do it. I have my original receipt showing that 9 years previously I had ordered high gloss finish, Bruce flooring and now Above Board Flooring is trying to tell me Bruce never made a high gloss. They are refusing to give me the $1.26 per sq. ft I was upcharged for the high gloss finish and offered me only .40 cents per sq. ft. I've been told over the phone by both Andrew (owner) and Netta (receptionist in their Pineville location) 3 different times that Mark Bishop, the salesperson who took over for Debra, would be contacting me. That hasn't happned and I've received no refund. My installation was in mid June. I think they're taking advantage of this senior citizen.

Their prices are reasonable ($500) and they work with a delivery company that was able to pick up and drop off the furniture (8' wide x 2' deep x 3' high) for only $100 each way. Highly recommended. They took the time to discuss what I was looking for and show me available pieces, including ones in the back which were yet to be refinished/repaired. The showroom is small and there is not a ton of inventory but it is constantly changing as pieces come and go. If there's something you want that they don't have, they will take note and let you know if something like it comes available.
