I was sadly disappointed by my experience here! Ordering delivery to-go is a huge and rare treat right now, and I wish I'd picked somewhere else. The Lunch Platter was such a great idea and packaged very well! Sadly, the rice, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer were all quite bland. The chicken was tough, as though it had been thawed and cooked too quickly. I didn't receive the advertised bite sized samosas, but instead a gluey, pasty, mushy eggroll. Salt did not help the rice, it literally had no flavor. The naan had good flavor but was so thin and tiny it was falling apart. Not puffy or thick like other restaurants. I usually love Indian food (as well as all diverse cuisine, I'm not an expert in Nepalese though) and have never had a bad experience anywhere, so I was looking forward to being pleased--- unfortunately, it was a disappointment. This place is absolutely delicious. The chili Momo could keep me coming back again and again, I could have eaten a whole order to myself. I also shared the chicken curry with my husband. For whatever reason, I've never developed an affinity for Indian cuisine. Maybe I should say for most Indian cuisine. There have been a couple restaurants I've really enjoyed, but they've not stayed open more than a year or two. I really enjoyed my first meal from the Clove, so let's hope they hang around for a while. I ordered their lunch special through a delivery service, choosing the tikka masala and daal makhani. First off, I was so impressed by the way they wrapped the meal to prevent spillage. The portions of chicken tikka masala and daal makhani were perfect, with naan, rice and two cocktail (I think it's supposed to mean "small) samosas. I enjoyed everything, but particularly, the daal makhani was seasoned so well, and I loved the samosas. This definitely won't be the last time I visit or order from The Clove! read more

Nestled in the heart of Bricktown, The Clove brings wonderful Indian/Nepali food to OKC. We went on a Friday night. The ambiance was nice, it was very quiet when we entered. We could hear others talking across the restaurant. We suggested that music be played just to help with the awkward silence. The menu was extensive. We tried the chili momos, chili chicken, paneer bhurji, chicken tikka masala, and daal makhani. All were prepared with wonderful flavors. The portion sizes were okay. Went on a Saturday. This place was empty and I soon found out why... Food was average. Nothing impressive, nothing hottibke. One of the dishes I ordered was Nepalese and had very strange taste but this might have been just the way it is so I'm not taking away from it. Service was below average - had to ask and wait fur everything. The place is ran by seemingly uninterested, teenage girls. Ambiance left a lot to be desired.. A lot! The place has no character, when we got there no music was playing. Giving the place a very eerie feeling. Half the TVs was on football game, the other half on Sponge Bob, all the TVs were muted. It felt very odd! For a place to be this nonchalant about atmosphere and service, the food should be absolutely amazing which is wasn't. Saw a bunch of rave reviews for this place when it first opened and finally had the chance to try their lunch special yesterday. And oof, I wish I had a better review for this place but I unfortunately do not. We got the lunch special, and some gulab jamun to go off of Uber Eats. So not too sure about the ambiance, but do I love that the food was ready to go super quick and that they packed it very well. Everything was saran wrapped nicely when we got it. Pros - we do love the samosas! The potatoes were seasoned wonderfully and it was perfectly crispy. Cons - Everything else. Rice wasn't seasoned. Tikka masala was bland. Chana masala was slightly better, but still needed salt. And the Naan we had was tough too! I really wanted to like this place, but for the portions they gave - which wasn't much, our tikka masala was only three little pieces of chicken - and for how bland the meal was, I don't think it was worth the $13 at all. We would only return for the samosas and even then, there are places in the city who have samosas equally as good. We would not recommend. read more

We were surprised at how good the food was! It was superb Indian food, and the place was also clean and spacious. The service was excellent. We preferred the first server more than the second one since she was more attentive.   For apps, if you can handle the spice, I recommend the Aloo Chili. It consists of slightly crisp potatoes with onions and peppers. It was spicy, so I only had a few bites.    Their chicken tikka masala was so savory. It was creamy and not too tangy. I can't believe I'm saying this but it might be the best I've tasted.   Their garlic naan is also outstanding! It had a soft, slightly chewy texture, and a well-developed flavor from the fresh garlic and butter. We ordered another round, and it was even better! Can't wait to come back. read more

Nice ambiance, soft music playing. Nice servers. Sunday afternoon early dinner and there's 4 couples and a large party of 12. As soon as you walk in the smell is fantastic. They validate for parking, which is nice (you have to submit the receipt the parking company and get refunded). Had the goat curry and it was ok. I will DEFINITELY come back to have more momo. I read a review that mentioned no music. This time there was music but it was a little loud, to be honest. The paneer was delicious. I should have taken her recommendation on spice level (she suggested a 3 we did a 2). The spice level on the momo at a 2 was PERFECT. The cheese dessert with cardamon was delicious. This location is part of a shared plaza overlooking the little Bricktown river. The parking is validated by the restaurant. You can park and need to register and pay but then you will get a link via text or email that you can then upload your receipt from the restaurant and parking is free. We were able to get a table quickly. There is a full bar. We got the samosas and they were good with a bit of kick. The service was efficient a d knowledgeable. We didn't wait long for drinks or the food. The garlic naan was really good - it was as good and as it looked and smelled. Run don't walk. This was my first time to try Indian/Himalayan cuisine and it did not disappoint. The Clove is flavor packed food in a great atmosphere. The food was amazing. It tantalized the mouth with every bite! The depth of flavors was incredible. It's my new favorite. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is we were there at lunch and they have a very limited non- alcoholic drink menu. They only offer unsweet tea and have nothing to sweeten it with. I visited here for the first time this past Tuesday. There was nearby onsite parking but you had to pay to park. We had no issue with the service. I really enjoyed my food. I ordered the shrimp curry, some roti, and rasmalal. Everything was tasty. The only issue is that that was water coming from the ceiling nearby where we were sitting which is not great when you are trying to enjoy dinner. read more

Very good Indian and Himalayan cuisine, their momo dumplings were good, as was their fish curry and basmati rice. Their dessert (I believe the knafeh) was also decent. However the waitress didn't hear me order a garlic naan but I should have verified my order beforehand. The wait is a bit long for food however (I was also hungry). Moreover, the interior atmosphere seems a bit bare - not sure if they just moved in or not - but they could use more cultural decorations or even pau timings on the wall. This is a new Indian/Himalayan restaurant and I found out about it via Instagram! I saw that people attended the grand opening posting pictures of momos and more, and had to make reservations. I booked dinner with a friend for a 7:30 pm slot on a Wednesday night. This restaurant is situated next to the Starbucks, Sushi Bar, and Texadelphia in Bricktown overlooking the Riverwalk in Bricktown OKC. There is plenty of free parking right next to the restaurant, but also parking that can be validated with a Clove Restaurant receipt - removing the $20 parking charge, which is nice! Luckily I was able to to park in the free parking. My friend parked in the overflow $20 parking lot but was able to get parking validated. The interior is beautiful and lots of comfortable seating. Service was friendly and the owner/manager came around after our meal and asked us how we liked the food/service. The staff was so friendly and patient with us. The hostess/waitress asked us upon arrival whether we wanted to sit at a table next to the windows or a larger booth area - we of course picked the booth seating because we knew we were going to order a LOT of food! Food: The flavor of the Himalayan dishes were outstanding. There are 3 levels of spiciness to choose from. My friend and I picked spicy level 3 which was perfect for us. -Appetizers- *Chilli Momo* we were debating on which momos to try and we definitely wanted to try these because momos are special to Nepalese/Himalayan cuisine. I'm happy with our selection - these are chicken momos tossed in a chili sauce with veggies including bell pepper and onion. It was satisfying and delicious. *Aloo Chilli* There was a common theme among the appetizers we picked - lots of veggies along with the main ingredient - so for this dish there were potatoes (aloo) tossed in chili sauce along with bell peppers. Very tasty as an app or even a side dish *Pakora* fried veggie fritters served with mint chutney and a sweet chutney - not my favorite - I'm used to chewier pakora, but it still had great flavor! *Lamb Goti Kabob* tasty little bites of lamb cooked like tandoori chicken served with raw white onions and a side of tikka sauce to dip. This was so good! -Main Dishes- *Chicken Biryani* my friend ordered this and it looked amazing - very authentic and not too oily, rice was cooked well and plenty of pieces of chicken. *Paneer Tikka Masala* like chicken tikka masala except with Paneer (cheese) - for this I ordered spicy level 2 and I could've done level 3, however it was very delicious, so creamy and the paneer pieces were cooked well. I like the flavoring of the tikka masala, they added some vegetables that were cooked down in this as well. The sauce consisted of pureed cashews and cream. *Chicken Tikka Masala* I mean...you can't go wrong with chicken tikka masala! My friend ordered this and said it was the REALLY GOOD! *Plain Naan & Garlic Naan* Absolutely delicious. So fresh and just the right amount of thickness. Came out piping hot and ready to dip! *Rice* the rice that came along with the dishes was just okay - I didn't like how it wasn't cooked very well. I liked my rice soft and fluffy and this rice was kind of hard. Drinks: *Mango Lassi* the mango lassi was refreshing and tasted fresh! The drinks came out first and we sipped it while eating our meals. It was the perfect compliment to our spicy dishes to cool down our tongues. Overall- I highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner with family/friends. The location is amazing and the food did not disappoint! Kudos to The Clove :) read more

So excited to see a Himalayan/Indian offering in the middle of Bricktown! Parking can seem super daunting when you're talking about Bricktown, but just know the parking lot for Texasdelphia and across the street validates parking with a receipt from any of the restaurants in lower Bricktown so keep that in mind. They really made the inside look very modern, clean and inviting. It was a fellow elite and I who made dinner plans and were able to get seated immediately. There were a couple of others seated on a Wednesday night so not crazy busy by any means. They are still newer so I'm hoping they really start to kick off. Let me tell you, the food was AMAZING. They really do have tons of offerings from both their Himalayan style and Indian style dishes. They have 3 levels of spice. 1 for mild, 2 for medium and 3 for really spicy. As someone who really enjoys heavy spice, and doesn't mind the true spiciness of food, 3 was a really great spice level for someone who can really handle spice. Otherwise I would definitely stick with 1-2 depending on your tolerance level! We wanted to try a lot of things so here's what we had: Chicken 65 - really great flavor! Tons of green peppers, onions and red peppers. Not crazy spicy but definitely flavorful. Pakora - this is like a lentil, potato, onion mix that are fried into little nugget looking pieces. Super crispy! Definitely a must try if you've never had it. Chili Momo - soooo worth trying! I've never had momos before but I've seen them just never tried them. This was a great door to wanting them again! Think dumplings with a yummy chili sauce with peppers Aloo Gobi appetizer - really a great appetizer for any vegetarians that want an intro to some true Indian flavors Garlic naan - oh soooo good! You seriously can't go wrong! Chicken tikka masala - soooo creamy and had tons of meat. The creaminess is what sets this place apart for me from other Indian restaurants. Truly a staple for curry Chicken biriyani - holy mother of packed flavor! So many spices, so many flavors all in one. Plus the added level 3 spice really kicked it over the edge Mango lassi - if you've never had one, you're really missing out. Think a super thick mango smoothie but it's not a smoothie cause of ice, it's purely cream and mango. A great way to balance spice and a yummy dessert even Would definitely want to come back and try other foods they had on the menu and bring others. Let's make sure this place stays! read more

I have been here multiple times over the last two years and today was the first time I've had a bad experience. I've gotten the lunch special many of times and was always satisfied. However, today when I ordered the Chicken Curry I received the smallest pieces of chicken I have ever received from them. At first I wasn't going to say anything but I decided to ask if it was possible to get a few more pieces of chicken. I was told that the lunch special only gets three pieces of chicken. I understand lunch portions are suppose to be small however this was not acceptable especially for how small the pieces were. I was going to eat the lunch special but if I'm paying for a meal I want to be satisfied with what is presented. I then asked to order the Goat Curry instead. The waitress was very kind and put that order in for me. I was very eager to try the Goat Curry but was again disappointed by the pieces of goat that were in the curry. I did not mind the meat still being on the bone however most of the pieces in the curry were gristle and not edible. The curry was flavorful and the meat pieces I could eat were tasty. However, for $18 I expected better. The waitress again was very kind. I spoke with a cook as well once the check came as the lunch special was still on my tab even though I did not eat off of it at all. He repeated that lunch comes with three pieces as it's supposed to be "an on the go meal". The check was fixed and I paid my tab and left. That will be my last time coming. I don't understand the hate for this place. The food is amazing, the lamb is cooked to perfection every time. The spices are cable fed perfectly and the portion size for price is excellent. The ambiance is good, it's not a traditional ambiance and tries to be a bit more modern. The staff are great, the servers are young teenagers who I think are the daughters of the owners. This is a family run restaurant and they serve authentic Indian and Nepalese dishes. Oklahoma City can be rough on a restaurant that doesn't serve chicken fried steak and potato's. People need to get out and explore other cultures and their food. This place is great and I hope they are around for a long time. read more

First things first...the food was AWESOME! I enjoyed all the food we ordered. The only issue I had was our server - I don't remember her name but she's only been working for a month - spoke very quietly. My husband and I had a very hard time hearing her. And she wouldn't clear out table unless we asked her to. The ladies bathroom was dirty. There were paper on the floor, the sinks were dirty and the floor was sticky. We saw The Clove from our water taxi ride and decided that's where we would eat.Alittle hard to find at back of a building but pleasant atmosphere on canal.We were in a bit of a rush and food came out fast and hot. We had the spring rolls and there were 5 or 6 of them. They were perfectly wrapped and delicious. Not left over cabbage like other restaurants but a nice blend of vegetables and a savory sauce. We ordered garlic naan and it was 4 pieces of soft naan with garlic and herbs, delicious. I had my favorite vegetarian palak paneer. It was delicious with blended spinach and squares of cheese.
