Overall rated 2 stars. We held our annual women's club luncheon here yesterday. For the amount of money we paid to hold our event in the private room, you'd think we would not needed to 1) ask several times to lower the music, 2) as to fill up and refill the coffee carafe, 3) asked for ice for water, 4) asked for salad plates to be placed near the salad 5) asked twice to setup microphone and speakers 6) asked several times to refill hot dishes on the buffet table. We ran out of food twice while women were standing in line waiting. At one point it took them 10 minutes to refill and those standing, chose not to wait any longer. You'd think staff would be monitoring a buffet intended to serve 40 women. Rather, we had absolutely no one monitoring to ensure things were all set with food and drinks. Myself and another were constantly going into the kitchen asking for someone to help us. 7) We had no one available to remove dirty plates when we finished; some our women to include me got up to help remove everyone dirty dishes. It truly was so very frustrating and disappointing. I guess after receiving our final deposit that morning as paid in full, there was little to no incentive to make sure our luncheon was attended to. Beware... you absolutely do not get what you pay for!!! PS: the food was yummy but all that DID NOT happen that SHOULD OF HAPPENED truly did spoil the who luncheon. The 2 star rating is a 100% could of been better with having SOMEONE in charge taking care to make sure our needs were being met. read more

Golf Review: Falcon Point is a private club in Katy that's part of the clubcorp group. I played with a member recently and had a tough round in the summer heat, but the course itself was very nice. The course was very challenging. There's water on 16 of the 18 holes, fairways are tight, sand traps are placed riiiight where you typically roll your drives, loooong par 4's, postage stamp elevated greens and those massive bushes that love to steal your ball. I suffered even worse because it was my first go at the course, so plenty of surprises. One condition issue was the tee boxes. I'm not sure if they were re-seeding or things were moved around due to a recent tournament, but the distance to the holes from the tees were way off from score card yardage and looked beat up. Service was great. Everyone I encountered was friendly and happy to help. We had a tee time following a junior tournament so there were plenty of people milling about but we still got everything we needed quickly. Facilities were nice enough though I didn't linger. They have a large bar room next to the pro shop for that hole 19 beer. I changed in the locker room and did notice that the changing area seemed a bit shabby for a private club. Thin carpet, nameplates missing from lockers, scuffed furniture, etc. I'm not considering membership at this club or any others at this time, so I'm just focusing on the golf round which was good. If you typically slice or haven't broken the 90's in your game, bring extra balls and some patience. read more

Sooo, in August of 2020 I set out in search of a venue to host a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband that was close to home as well as close to hotels in the Katy area which would be accommodating our out of town family-guest. The Club At Falcon Point was a perfect location! Jordyn; the Event Coordinator was a delight, accommodating and easy to work with over the course of the year as plans evolved, revised and then finally came together. Jordyn kept me encouraged, was always helpful, especially when ideas were cloudy and I needed guidance. The week of my party, with a hundred things going on it seemed, I realized that I neglected to order appetizers for my guest! I thought for sure there was nothing I could do so last minute. When I explained the situation to Jordyn, together with the chef, she was able to pull a rabbit out of hat and meet me where I had dropped the ball. THANK YOU CHEF! THANK YOU JORDYN. The guest were none the wiser. Fast forward to the evening of the party! Jordyn, Josef and the Staff warmly and professionally executed the event; which included service of a plated dinner. My husband was truly surprised! My guest enjoyed themselves and called it "The party of the Year!" I don't know about all of that, but the party was certainly a success. Not only would I plan future events without hesitation, I highly recommend The Club At Falcon Point to anyone reading my post. read more

A members only private country club located in Katy, where you need to be invited by a member to play. And it might be the best golf course here if you count in the consistency of the conditions. The course design is fantastic although a bit tight in some areas due to housing. The greens are fast and roll true. There was not a time that I played here where the course was in anything but top condition even through the drought of 2011. Make sure someone knows the course is with you because there are several tricky par 4 and 5's where the driver will take you out unless you are an ultry short hitter. The club pro Trey is a fantastic young man with a enthusiasm for golf and competition. Falcon Point did a great job on the course and it's a treat to play here. read more

This is a nice course and clubhouse has a very 80's feel. This course has a ton water and at points can be fairly tight. If you are as bad as I am, bring plenty of balls. The grounds are generally well kept except some of the sand traps. Driving range is There are people that have been playing golf for a long time, if you know what I mean, that walk this course, so be prepared for some waiting. On the positive side, they have good beer on draft and the food is pretty decent. Every staff member that I encountered here was really friendly. read more

My boyfriend became a member of this club a few short months ago. He played a handful of times and we have eaten here for pasta night and the staff is great- but I just listened to the voicemail that Monica left on our cell phone and I am quite taken back. To make a long story short, he is trying to cancel his membership because he does not use the course as much as he planned and it's essentially a waste of money at this time. He called (still hasn't spoken in person) to Monica and she left a pretty rude message stating that she wants to avoid his cancellation at all costs and that she doesn't see a way around him paying to cancel. He KNOWS he has to pay in order to cancel and he wants to do just that. No need to try and have him bullied into remaining a member. I've called and only gotten to voicemail as well. I'd like to speak with this Monica person about the voicemail ASAP. read more

My wife and I were married at this country club. We really enjoyed the location. There is plenty of parking and the entryway has good landscaping. They replaced their carpet before our wedding too. There was no problem with golfers at all, although we were warned. Falcon Point required us to use them as the caterers so we picked from their menu. The annoying part was we signed a contract then they changed their menus three times, each time raising the price. We also were required to work with the event coordinator, who had a hard time returning our calls and remembering our names. But we took some really good photos at sunset on the golf course. And we were able to fit everyone. Normally four hours is rented with a possible additional hour. We wished that we had paid for that additional hour. read more

We love going up to the club and hanging out. The people and staff are phenomenal and super friendly! I personally have hosted several events and all have gone off without a hitch. They have tons of social activities outside of golf like book club, wine club, game nights, etc. The golf course is wonderful and challenging, one of my favs! read more

We have been members here since 2011 and Have enjoyed the golf and social membership until about a year ago when everything went to crap. The golf part of our membership has been awesome! Joey and his staff and the course are all amazing!! The problem lies with 3 general managers in 3 years, who have no clue what their doing, and then there's the membership director Monica who truly couldn't manage a Mc Donald's. She is rude, sloppy, and needs to be trained. The restaurant dining was always something we enjoyed and then the food went to shit and so did the service! Honestly Carl is the only one left from the old staff and they are lucky to have him! Think twice before you choose to be a member here! Spend your money somewhere that your appreciated and offers customer service. read more

5-hour pace on a Saturday afternoon tee time. No marshal to be found - unacceptable for a private club. Course is a dog track. Very tight tee shots, water and OB on every hole with homes creeping up to the cart paths. Horrible experience. Done with this place. read more

The club has a new manager this year and he has worked with me in a really nice way. If Mr. Aumiller can change the staff's attitude to match his, the club can be a really nice place to be a part of. In that I haven't been there for several months and am no longer a member, I would hope they can also fix the meal prices or at least the problems with the billing for the meals as well. If those are also fixed, I would raise my rating even more. read more

We had our son and fiancee's rehearsal dinner at Falcon Point. I can't say enough good things about their service and food. The event coordinator was fantastic. She helped us with every detail to make it a perfect night. The food was beyond our expectations and everyone talked about how good it was. And the bartender and staff were so friendly and fun. The room was so beautiful and set up exactly as we requested. Our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend The Club at Falcon Point for any event! read more

We played a tournament there and the course was in good shape. I would give it 4 stars but there dressing and bath rooms are disgusting. Seriously gross. The staff is not very helpful or friendly. I certainly would not join this club considering the choices. read more

Can not understand the bad reviews. We have been members here as well since 2011. We moved away and rejoined immediately after moving back. The food has improved and is now on par with any 5 star restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful and the best one is Monica the membership director. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect every visit. We love this place. We love the golf course and the restaurant plus all the activities. I would hope if you are considering joining a club that you do not let the few bad reviews not let you check this club out. read more

We have been members for 6 years and have always had wonderful experiences at the club. Both the women and men's golf associations are very active. The staff always addresses us by our name. Monica, the membership director, is very personable and goes out of her way to help. Food is always excellent. read more

Not impressed; the course was lacking proper tee box maintenance (possibly reseeding). The reason for the low review, due to them fixing around 8 holes it's practically cart path only for around 45% of the course. Just close the course if you don't want people playing on it? read more
