I use to be a member here for many years and recently left to go to another much better gym in Chester, after this place took new ownership. It was always overpriced for what it was, but since the new owner the price went up, the quality sharply declined, and all the great staff were let go. Members were promised new equipment and upgrades when Jeff (the new owner) took over but the only new equipment I ever saw was a new register and credit card machine up front. The building and equipment is in need of some serious renovation and cleaning, unfortunately I don't see that ever happening. The locker rooms are dank, broken, and severely outdated. The gym equipment and cardio equipment breaks regularly and instead of being replaced is simply removed. There is also a serious mold problem which has only gotten worse. Word around town is that MHRC is having serious financial troubles right now which is no surprise considering how the new owner is running this place. It really is such a same because there use to be a great community of local members many of which have left and gone to other gyms which are few a far between in this area. Steer clear of the this place and drive the extra 5 or 10 to another gym or tennis club near by. read more

When is the Labor board going to step in and help all of us get our pay. i have never heard of a business getting away with out paying on time. also someone ask us all the underlying problems with management mainly Jeff Carter. who on a whim does a disappearing act /just like our pay.The place is a mess and unsafe. Under the new management, this club has lost all appeal. It is no longer the warm and friendly gym it once was. All the great staff members have left. If you are a fitness enthusiast, you can expect scheduled classes to be canceled at the last minute. Rather than instructors, you can watch videos! If staff members do not get paid, why should they comeIn addition, you can expect to be double billed It's a shame that a place I once enjoyed, has become a place I feel angry and stressed at! The instructors and staff are all outstanding. However, this place went way down hill with the new owner. The staff were not getting paid and getting fired for no reason. upon cancelling membership to support the staff as did many others I will still billed on my credit card. read more

Do not give your credit card number to these "people." They make erroneous charges and then will not respond to requests for remedy. 4x week member since 2002, quit the club and left Mendham 7/15/19 for Northern VA. $230 charge appears on my AMEX 10/13. Called club 5 times, spoke to several different staff members, no charge reversal. Check the reviews: several other members/former members are having the same problem. I play tennis here and am seriously considering dropping my scheduled court time and membership because of a serious health issue. There is M O L D covering the entire roof, ventilation, frame and fans that hang above the tennis courts. It is unacceptable and truly not safe or healthy for any human to be in that environment. I leave there every time I play sneezing, with a sore throat, and a horrible head ache....none of which I have when I arrive.The ladies locker room, while appearing clean, has toilet flushing issues, there is only soap in one dispenser, and it's dated. I'd stay away from it at all possible costs....It's very evident that there is a mold problem so it's not a hidden issue that the owner can deny having any knowledge of. The woman who works at the front desk and welcomes everyone to the club is DELIGHTFUL but it goes straight downhill from there on in. read more

Great team of managers. Never problem getting court time. Personal and attentive to the neighborhood. Last year in a prolonged power outage they invited neighbors to come and shower and wash their closes! read more

This has become an awful club. The owner is careless and does not care about any aspect of his business. It is freezing cold, dark and dirty. You have to drive up and wonder if the doors will even be open. A lot of promises are made and none are ever kept. It's a shame. read more

This club insane pay 1000 for swim most days are closed for swimming team and hours. Old owners had dj at night plenty swimmer and families This is a scam ill go to somewhere else to have kids enjoy a pool. In my opinion the worst thing this place ever did was hand ownership to that new guy Jeff Carter. They should have kept the employees who made it worth even staying at this overpriced archaism. I've never been happier moving my gym needs to the real Club at Morristown Plaza, even giving up the convenient location. What a shame read more

Longtime tennis member and this place is circling the drain. Under the new "management" this club is literally falling apart. There is a big MOLD problem that has not been addressed, there are holes and leaks in the roof over the courts which results in water dripping and puddling on the courts making it downright dangerous to play due to slippery surface, the building is heated to a chilly 55 degrees in the winter, no one answers the phone or mans the front desk; so if you want to schedule court time forget it - won't happen, the bathrooms, lockers and entire facility are seriously aged and do not look or smell like they are ever cleaned. Been hearing for the last several months some impressive plans but to date it seems more like management has left the building with no intention of making good on promises.This is not what I would expect from a tennis club and have decided to move on. read more

Family environment, great pool, friendly staff, spacious gym with recently renovated equipment. I love that they offer saunas that I use to warm up in the winter. I'll never forget they just let us all go in and use their wi-fi and electricity and offered us hot chocolate after hurricane Sandy left lots of us without energy, just such a nice management. read more

The WORST!!!! I'd give ZERO STARS if the app would allow it! New owner came in and drastically raised membership prices. ($550 for a family pool membership in 2018 to $850-$1050 in 2019, depending on whether you opt for "silver" or "gold" membership). There have been lots of empty promises of upgrades and improvements. (Gold Membership boasts a new "towel service" for example. Towels consist of anything left over in in lost and found from previous summers!) Owner even jacked up the price (from $500 to $750) for our local elementary school's 4th grade pool party! The pool party was held this week, in the rain on a chilly day because the owner refused to give the HSA a rain date. The pool was freezing and kids were begging to go inside. Despite our reserving 3 tennis courts for games, which the owner of The Club had promised to orchestrate, the manager would not allow the children inside!!!! Owner is completely absent and non-responsive. Doesn't answer or return phone calls or emails. Steer clear!!! You'll get MUCH more for your money at other local township pools. read more

This gym is impeccably clean, has a friendly staff and offers a wide variety of workout methods. There is a room full of cardio equipment and separate room for their weight lifting equipment. I am a big fan of group fitness classes and the club offers a wide variety of cardio/weight training classes. The Spinning classes are great and I love that I can get my cardio and weight training done at once in F.I.T. and Powertone. I have also recently worked up the courage to try the new TRX class and man is that a great workout! I personally find that there is an adequate amount of space in all of the workout rooms and they have recently redone the floor in the cardio room. Also, during the summer months I like the fact that I can workout and then go relax by the pool area...which is huge! They have a diving area, a spa whirlpool and a separate area for children. Another great way to relax is to make an appointment for a massage. This additional service provided by the club and I highly recommend it for anyone with sore muscles. Also, if you're a tennis player you'll love this place. I do not play but I know from conversations with those that do, the courts are well maintained and it's always fun watching a game from the upstairs viewing lounge. I highly recommend this club. There is something for everyone! read more
