With just one class down, I'm writing this review with 5 stars because they've done more in the first class in 30 minutes than they have in years past combined, so thank you to HV Swim but also to instructor Richard. My one boy was always so scared of the water, and I've had to request credits because he never went in. Now, he not only stayed there, but swam by himself for the first time ever, was happy about it, and can't wait to go back- he just needed the right motivation. My other son is a fish and was given the right encouragement to do it on his own and swam laps, with a safe eye watching him. I've never felt better about HV Swim, and definitely recommend their lessons!

They pulled my daughter out of the pool after the instructor stated she could handle and it was a make up class they we paid for. Totally embarrased my 5 year old which she carries around till this day stating at family dinners how she got thrown out of the pool. Way to go hudson valley swim. No 5 year old should have to go through that. Waited 2 weeks to contact us to try and make amends which at that point is a no go. We talking about a half hr and just common courtesy here. I suggest take your kids else where we work hard for our money and no child should be treated this way. I could make a bigger deal about this and go to the state and owners of golds gym and let them in on what type of organization this is. So in a word stay away there are cheaper and better options around this area. Funny how they only respond to negative reviews. Again we are talking about 30min. Time i didnt show up un annouced thats was out scheduled time. I did not know there was new classes. No one ever responded to my emails. But again this is a paid service i pay for this this is not free at the end of the day the customer is correct when they are paying. You do not embarass a 5 year old. It has a great - and I mean great and friendly staff!! This should be a 5 star facility. It is. But....its just not clean enough. The pool area has had the same dirty band aide I've seen for a few weeks. The bathrooms are dirty with hair in the sinks. There are food crumbs and dirt. It's disappointing because this is gorgeous. I just feel dirty leaving here. I will keep an eye on it and if the facility cleans itself up I'll increase my stars

There is a well-stocked pro shop and a restaurant with views of the 9th and 18th through a large bay window. Across the street is a huge pool with water slides (and lifeguards), a terrific snack shop, adult drinks and everything else the vacationing family might want or need. And a bit further up the hill is a huge playground, as well as a beach volleyball court. So if you are staying at the Lodge or the Pines, the sports complex has everything to enjoy a fun day outdoors.

I was told I had to join in order to reserve the court. The courts were horrible and there was a clinic for young children going on so the noise was outrageous. It was a painful experience to play there. The desk was too busy on my way out and I forgot to end my membership. I had it on automatic pay. I called eventually and was told I had to write and email in order to cancel. I did so, and now I receive another monthly charge. I know I was stupid in signing up in the first place. Just know that this is not a place to play tennis and that there is a hard sales pitch to join.

They have a wonderful time and look forward to each lesson. I can't recommend this safe, friendly and knowledgeable school enough. Our daughter's private instructor, John is just incredible. First, she has the same instructor each lesson. He has formed such a bond with her. She trusts him and really has a wonderful smile on her face the whole time (even after coughing a little from the water). Her confidence and skills are growing day by day. The group classes are also stellar. Don't be turned off by the "group" part. The ratio is kept down to 3 to 1 and each kid gets plenty of solo instruction. They are given appropriate breaks and then it back out with an instructor to learn more. Our son has a warm smile on his face the entire time. His skills have grown leaps and bounds. If you're looking for classes for your kids this school is definitely worth taking a look at. At first we thought it was a little expensive (and compared with schools like 'The Connection" it is, but the results are completely worth it. They run a safe, friendly and fun school all while being focused on developing real skills.
