This place is perfect for any type of party.. I have been to 30th surprise partys, baby showers, engagement partys, and even a small wedding.. They have custom lighting installed so you can set the mood to however you are feeling. They have a pool table and darts to keep the kids entertained. Their sound system is great so you dont need to hire a dj and you can use your spotify playlist.. The Clubhouse was an amazing time from booking to the end of the event. The communication prior to our event was constant and detailed. Our Bartender for the evening was Lee and he was very helpful in getting us situated and attentive in taking care of our guests. The decor of the clubhouse is very appealing, just look up the images. The venue itself looks like a great place to have a party. It was top on my list of venues to pick for my sister's surprise birthday party. I live in Virginia and came to NJ to see the venue. I liked it a lot and wanted my party planner to see it also, since she was in charge of the decor and arrangements. I gave my party planner the contact info to arrange to see it and nobody responded to her inquiry. I then reached out directly and copied the planner only to be told that they would not show it again, and if the planner wanted to see it, she could see it after we've signed the contract. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere, but it's a shame that that's the level of their customer service, because the venue is nice inside. read more

First off, this is the first time I'm ever leaving a bad review, and my shocked disappointment is an understatement. I rented this space in June for my engagement party in October, worked with Dana to book everything. Just when you think all your troubles are handled and you can focus on planning the party, food, drinks etc.. what's the worst that can go wrong, right? OH YEAH, THEY DONT ACTUALLY BOOK YOUR PARTY. that's right. I got there for our scheduled time stated in the contract for an 11am start, which was suppose to get me about an hour of set up them before guests arrived. the door was locked. I contacted every number I had from planning the event, no answer for 45 minutes. FINALLY Dana called and said "im so sorry we forgot to book your party, im trying to get staff together and someone down to at least open the door" I had 60+ guests, catered food, beer and ice all in my car for an hour and NO ACCESS to the space. Someone didn't arrive till a little after 12 to open the door. however, no staff. no bartender. no time to set up. chaos and confusion all around. my guests had to pour their own drinks for hours until finally at 4pm (when the event was ending) a shitty bartender arrived who did basically nothing at that point. is the place cool? yes, rustic awesome spot... but if you want a guaranteed party don't go here. As a bride, or any party planner you want things to be taken care of 100% and not worry or go through a panic for someone not scheduling your party. how it happened? no clue. I even called the week before my party with questions and mentioned it was for my event on Sunday, so how they messed this up? Again, no clue. read more

We loved this place, especially the bartender, Lee! We had 80 guests, and it was a good size for our guests, DJ, and caterers. Plus, Robyn, the contact person, immediately responded to all queries we had. The only two suggestions I would make is for The Clubhouse to allow for more than one walk through before having an event and to have guests use i-Tunes as music rather than just Spotify. read more

What a lifesaver The Clubhouse has been for us! We are moving and considered having our going away party in our home for one last hurrah. When we came to our senses however, we realized that we needed a better option and The Clubhouse was perfect! Feels like you're in your living room (if your living room has that cool industrial vibe) but with a giant bar and enough room for everyone to mingle and spread out. It was very easy to plan with Robyn and our bartender, Lee, was accommodating and so helpful from the set up process to the clean up. This really did make our goodbye so much less stressful and we're sad to leave Montclair knowing we'll probably miss many a good party here! read more

If you need a place to throw any type of party you won't need to look any further after checking out The Clubhouse. It's a super cool, rustic event space with a bar, pool table, poker table, dart board, fireplace, and theater room! I attended an engagement party here and had such an awesome time I couldn't pass up the place when I had to plan a friend's birthday party. I contacted Robyn, the events coordinator, who helped me book my party. She was so incredibly kind and helpful, she really eased my party planning stress by being so efficient! I even had questions after we had met so I emailed her and she was quick to respond, which gave me confidence that they were going to be able to handle my party plan. Included in their very reasonable price, they provided us with a bartender who's name was Lee. He was awesome- he was very friendly, made all of my guests feel welcome, made sure the music was perfectly set, and nobody ever had to wait for a drink (1 bartender 60 ppl - that's impressive!) Overall, my guests and I loved the place, and everything ran so smoothly. I will definitely be booking as many future parties as possible here and I've already recommended the place to my friends! read more

Had my Fiancès 30th Birthday Party here on 12/16/17. The venue was perfect. I bought all of these decorations, but the space was so effortlessly cool, I didn't end up using them at all. The bartender was so nice and helpful. Everything was clean and perfect when I got there. I couldn't recommend this venue more. Amanda made everything very easy - she was very responsive and helpful. Used a caterer and had alcohol delivered from vendors on their preferred list - both were fantastic. Lee, our party host was great. The space is intimate, chic, and fun. My team of 20 had a great time competing in darts, pool, and cards. We held our 25th high school reunion at this venue. Everybody LOVED the vibe of the event. We had about 80 people and the space very comfortably fit us all. We brought in a DJ, food and booze - all very easy to do. Our event coordinator was responsive and easy to work with. Our onsite manager/bartender was really nice and very helpful during setup. This is a very cool, industrial looking space. We celebrated our boy-girl twins' 1st birthday there (Ties & Tutus theme) and everyone loved it. We covered the pool table and used it as our dessert table and had our catered buffet in the back. Even though the party was in the early afternoon, the lighting was dim inside. I wish we could have had more light or used more of the natural light from the windows. As far as coordination, Robyn was excellent and informative throughout the process. Lee was our Event Manager and since we didn't serve alcohol, he was hands-on helping us with set-up and pack-up and attending to guests as needed. read more

I rented the Clubhouse for my husbands 40th Birthday this past weekend. I wanted a space that reflected his NYC roots but was convenient to our new life in NJ. We loved the event space and found the team to be extremely professional. They were responsive with my initial request, provided a tour and gave an event checklist with a detailed contract. With 70 guests, we had access to a pool and card table, darts, 3 TVs, Sonos sound system with our own preselected playlist and an amazing event host, Lee, who served as our bar tender/friend. I liked that we were able to bring in our own catering/alcohol , but had a full bar set up with glasses, ice and mixers (extra fee). We even were able to bring in a band to kick off the evening. There is plenty of parking, Uber's and access to the Bay Street train station. The only negative feedback would be the AC- it was hot by the end of the evening and could not be adjusted. I would highly recommend the Clubhouse. read more

Can't say enough good things. Working with Dana to plan our friends/family game day party was fantastic from beginning to end. She was always accessible and responsive for Qs (of which I had SO MANY), and made planning a dream. The day of the party was equally smooth - Danielle was our bartender and I can't wait until we come back next year - we've already requested her. Great venue!! Just had my daughter's Sweet 16 there. Perfect space for a casual celebration and have 75 teenagers enjoy. Attendees loved playing pool and darts. Lee was our host and did an amazing job. Highly recommend. read more
