He immediately started barking at us about how we had made a reservation for four adults and one child, and that we would have to pay full price for the fourth adult which was $80 who did not show up. When we were seated, I had already apologized to the server that the fourth person could not make it, and the server -- who had otherwise been wonderful -- politely told us it was fine. I really thought this won't be a big deal like other establishments that are even more high end. I later learned that the individual's name was Tom. Describing his behavior as merely rude would be an understatement; his conduct was obnoxious, unprofessional, and unnecessarily aggressive. First, being charged the full $80 price for a guest who did not attend was extremely shocking and disappointing. More concerning, however, was the manner in which Tom approached and addressed us. In all my years of dining out, I have never experienced such poor service or such an inappropriate attitude from restaurant staff. Although I was eventually provided with containers to pack some food to take home, the entire experience left me feeling deeply insulted and completely ruined what was meant to be a special Mother's Day dinner. This Tom, who I was told aa a manger lacks a professionalism to be a qualified one. He needs a major attitude change.

3/14/26: Danaher's Pub used to be the old "Thatcher McGee's"…read more I'm not a big pub food eater. However, the food was much better than I expected. It was a Saturday night and it was really noisy. Anyway, we were seated right away. The server first took our wine and beer order. We then ordered the French onion soup and the Panko Crusted Goat Cheese Salad with Grilled Chicken. While we were waiting for the food, we needed water. We finally caught our servers attention and mentioned the water. Our food arrived at least 35 minutes plus after ordering. The French Onion Soup and Goat Cheese Salad were delicious. The soup had lots of yummy cheese. The warm crispy fried goat cheese medallions were so darn delish! In the meantime, still no water. We asked the server again. The water finally came. The servers were very friendly. Think the pub could use a lot more servers, particularly on a Saturday night. The inside decor is a bunch of old wood shellacked tables. Think the furnishings could use a major upgrade. The food is what really impressed me. Based, on the good food, I would give Danaher's another try, but not on a busy weekend. A large parking lot is available.

I had my back to the bar, but from what I was able to see this is a very cozy place. Service was quick and attentive, and we did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a pleasant time chatting. Drinks: the black walnut Manhattan, Fig jam old fashioned, wine , beer and port. Drinks were all excellent, i tasted the Manhattan and enjoyed it over the Fig Jam. For apps: Clams oreganato (the couple with us enjoyed this), flat bread (was much more like pizza than flat bread, but still tasty, per my husband), and on the special New England Clam Chowder which was very good, not too thick and decent and fresh clams in it. Entrees: Shrimp Risotto scampi, very flavorful Risotto cooked perfectly. Two of us ordered the Cajun Mahi Mahi, over spinach with mashed, and 2 shrimp. the Cajun sauce was tasty with the perfect amount of heat, shrimp and mahi-mahi fresh and cooked perfectly. Rigatoni Bolognese which my husband enjoyed and said it was almost as good as my Italian mother's (like a good son-in-law) lol Dessert: Crème Brûlée - Brûlée was perfect, the crème was a little too thick for me. I ate it and enjoyed it, but not the best I've had. My husband ordered the key Lime Pie happy that it did not include nuts in the crust as some do, he thought it was good. Overall we had an enjoyable albeit pricy meal with good service. I would come back if other's wanted to go but it would not be my go to place.

After about a week of googling "party venues", I stumbled on an amusingly modest website for the Velvet Lounge / Fairfield Manor. The prices seemed average and the photos looked very appealing, so I decided to schedule an appointment to meet with the staff. Initially when I pulled up to the location, I wasn't expecting much. It was the first location I had decided to visit on my hunt for a venue, and assumed I would need to contact a lot of venues prior to making a decision. When I first met with the staff, they all seemed very accommodating and helpful. I had never planned a party as an adult, so I found it difficult to envision the final product. Robbin and Roland were both extremely flexible and I really liked that they allowed for a combination of inside and outside food, decorations, and preparation. To me, being able to culminate a variety of different aspects to create my "dream party" on a budget was really the selling point. The day of, I got to see the lounge go through an astonishing transformation. The months of planning and preparation had me worried that I would be somehow disappointed, but I was rendered speechless by how beautiful and welcoming the atmosphere of the party was. All of my guests were blown away by the event, and I even inspired a few of my guests to hold a similar party for their next birthday. The bartender, the servers, and the owners were all wonderful. I know I could have had a memorable party anywhere, but I am exceedingly pleased by my choice in working with the Fairfield Manor. I hope my friends hold their parties here too, so I have a chance go go back!

They explained it was a cross between Lazer tag and a Haulted house. Me and a few friends went and we had a great time. They start you out by playing a death match against you and your buddies. It lets you get the hang of the Lazer guns. Once that is over they brief you on the 5 missions you need to run in the complex. As you are running the missions, Zombies will start to attack you. You need to shoot them before they get 5 feet away from you else your gun stops working for 5 seconds. The more zombies you kill the more points you get. There will be safe rooms where you get briefed on the next mission and you can talk strategies if you messed up on a previous run. There is a heart-pounding ending that I don't want to spoil, but needless to say, it was a great time and I am looking forward to doing it again.

Basically you will have to specifically aim to the head and hit those sensors to score point. This makes the difficulty more challenging... The games are fun tho. We came here as a big group that took over the whole session. They had multiple types of games: death match, re-spawn, capture the flag, protect the leader, etc. I would say the games are quite interesting. The advise that I would provide would be please dont wear too much clothing as it would get hot over the course of the games. I would suggest to wear tshirt as some running, crouching, jumping, dashing, and physical sport would be involved. I'd say if you have the chance try it out and i can guarantee that you will have some fun : )
