The Clue Room was a fun activity that would make a great team building event, date night, or family outing. It is appropriate for all age levels. The clues were at a level appropriate to provide a challenge but not leave us feeling hopeless. It was a little frustrating that when you got "help", it was the answer rather than a leg up. Once we received "help" that was simply the answer to a clue I was only seconds from solving. From that standpoint, a little more challenge might be welcome. I'd recommend no more than four adults. We had 6 adults and there was often 1-2 hanging back because there weren't enough clues/activities to get everyone involved. Overall, we had a great time. The 53 minutes it took us to escape felt more like 15 minutes! Time really flies by read more

My family of 3 (2 adults and a 12 year old) had a great time at our first escape party today! We didn't know exactly what to expect, but as puzzle and game fans, we knew we were in for a treat. From the moment we entered, it was a fun time. Little did we know, we were actually participating in an intermediate room, and as a team of 3, we were incredibly challenged, but succeeded in our mission. All three of us worked together, gained clues, and had a great time doing so. With a minute and a half to spare, we unlocked the clues and won the mission. Thank you to all the staff at Clue Room for making this a great family adventure for us! We will definitely be back - hoping to participate in the 1893 challenge next. This was sooooo much fun! Everyone in the group had a blast and said they can't wait to go back again to try another clueroom. After 15 minutes, they start slipping clues under the door that dont give away the whole answer but help you to continue moving through the game, we would have spun in circles and never got close to finishing without the clues... but we didnt escape (only 2 riddles away from succeeding) read more

We had a lot of fun. We had our reservation on a Friday night, everything started on time. We were a group of 4, and 2 others joined us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The puzzles were innovative, and we had a lot of fun (and we were happy to have opted to get some hints when we were stuck, so we were never stuck too long). I work for LivingSocial and these guys are one of our merchant partners. This past week my team and I were on a sales trip in Denver and decided to give give their Clue Room a try. Boy was it worth it! There were 17 people in our group and they split us up into 2 different groups, each playing a different game in a different room. Todd and Elisa (owners) were great. Todd handled the intro and helped us get into teams, while Elisa was our liaison during the game. We found the clues to be tricky but not insanely difficult. We did opt to receive hints throughout the game so I imagine without those the difficulty level may have been higher. Very creative and we had a ton of fun. If you are looking for a great team building event OR a fun activity with friends, you have to check out Clue Room. It's a very unique form of entertainment and most people find them to be very fun. Just finished both rooms and it was a hit. We did one as a team building experience and the other as a date night. Highly recommended! The clues are hard and the concept is great. We had a lot of fun tonight in the clue room. The staff was gracious and stayed open late for us. It was challenging and exciting as each clue was found and we were able to open locks to find new clues. We took the kids age 5 - 12. It was hard for the younger ones but the 12 year old was able to solve many of the clues herself. This was a great family activity and would be great for an adult only activity as well. read more

First time and the experience was really creative, challenging, and fun (We did the 1893 one). Alas we did not escape/solve the mystery in time. I will def try it again, my only complaint is the per person price of $28 each is a little high compare to Escape rooms in other cities. It would be great if the owners had an option, like add 5 minutes to the clock for and extra $5 (wink wink). Or book your group again and get 25% discount for your next Escape (yeah, I'm in Marketing, just a suggestion to get repeat business) ;-) read more

Awesome experience!! They give you your mission at the beginning and explain the rules, then put you in the Clue Room with a clock that counts down from an hour. It was both fun and challenging! My husband and I went by ourselves this time and had a blast, but next time we will definitely bring some friends/family !! I think the real benefits of this place is a owner greats you and walks you out afterwards, plus they have a phone number you can contact unlike a lot of the "fly by night" operations that pop up on groupon. There were six of us from our team here at OppenheimerFunds. Used this as a team building event and I would say it was a very successful for us all. Unfortunately we did not make it out of the room in time, which was kind of a let down for our big egos :-) but very fun and the hour passed by so very quickly as well. We headed down to the clue room with 4 logical people who all know each other. We were confident that we would get out of the room no problem. Once we got there we were assigned to a room with 2 people that we didn't know and who were not the most logical. We did get out in time but with a fair amount of hints. I can see how this could have potentially been amusing but our experience was a disaster. 6 people is probably too many no matter how you swing it but with the two people we didn't know, it was absolute chaos. I spent most of my time trying to figure out what still needed to be solved and solving things that had already been solved. The puzzles themselves were pretty simple, there were just a lot of them. A good sudoku provides far more of a challenging and entertaining puzzle. There are way better ways to spend your money and time than wasting it here. read more

Our room was really hard!! A group of 10 of crammed into a tiny room (scientist theme where we had to detonate a bomb). It was really hard and we needed clues on each puzzle since we couldn't figure anything out on our own. There were probably ten or more padlocks we needed to unlock within the hour. We had fun but I'd try a different room with a lot less people next time. read more

This was a fun. A bit disjaring. I did one of these in new York and it had a whole story to solve, which was great. This wasn't to that awesome of a scale but still entertaining. I found one challenge to make me go to a place of deep deep rage. A special place in hell awaits me due to the times I cursed God in frustration. It was a little upsetting as I felt it was a bit to challenging to encourage teamwork. We couldn't figure out the challenge and then the "clue" they give you to help if your are struggling is basically just the answer. So if we just did nothing we would have gotten the answer anyways. Then we got clues to challenges we already solved so that was frustrating as well. And then there are like 20 locks to open but we didn't even have to open all them so that was confusing since they just gave us the final clue the escape. I mean it was fun, but I felt it still needs a bit of polishing to be great. read more

So fun! I found a deal online and decided to try this as there isn't much to do in Denver if you aren't into outdoor activities. I went with my sister, her girlfriend and a friend. We were a group of 4 aged 25-55 and had a blast! We all go so into it, finding the clues and trying to figure things out. I was so disappointed that we got very close but didn't complete before time was up. I want to go back and try it again! I think this is a great activity for anyone, I'm trying to convince my boss this would be a good team bonding activity just so I can come again! read more

This is the third escape room I have been to and while it was still a fun experience, it was definitely my least favorite out of the three. Four of us did the Spy Ops room, and the room itself was quite bland. We were hoping for it to lead to more than one room as we unlocked clues, but the challenge was about six padlocks that we had to unlock and that was it. It was actually an extremely difficult game, and I don't think we would have been able to solve a single clue without a hint. All in all it was an enjoyable hour, but I think we will try somewhere else before coming back to this one. read more

This was so much fun! We took our 20-year-old twins for a birthday celebration with family and a few friends, so we had a room to ourselves. We got out of the difficult room with six minutes to spare and felt very accomplished. We thought we'd breeze through but it was pleasantly challenging. The owners were wonderful, too. I got a Living Social Deal for this and was skeptical at first. I play a lot of escape the room games, and we watch the Big Bang Theory so I was thinking it would either be SUPER hard or way too easy. Turns out its was SUPER hard but we had a such a great time doing it! My husband and I were paired with another group of 4 and managed to complete our room with seconds to spare! There were some hiccups along the way and we had to use their hint system, but I will be back to try the other room as soon as I can make time. read more
