Somewhere on-line I saw information on this place that does shoe repair among other stuff. I went to their website - thecobblers.org - and determined that my long neglected boots could get refreshed by them. Here's before and after photos. They also stretched them for easier fit. I know we're no longer in the season for boot wearing, but I think once life opens up I'll find some occasion to wear them. They do stuff with sneakers, belts, handbags, leather jackets. I initially contacted the Cobbler February 2022, I spoke with Christine on multiple occasions, last on August 2022. I sent her pictures of my Dior purse, and she assured me, that the Cobbler can clean my purse, with no problems. She also stated if the cleaning couldn't be done, the Cobbler wouldn't attempt to do the work, and my purse would be sent back to me. I also sent her pics of my MCM purse to have the binding replaced. I sent the Cobbler both purses on September 27th. On November 12th, I received my Dior purse back, totally ruined! I immediately contacted the Cobbler via text, email, and phone, and received no response. Then, I contacted them again, on November 14th through Instagram. On November 15th, I called their 1-800's numbers again, and left multiple messages, and called through Instagram twice, no response! Then someone named Tom responded to my messages on Instagram, hours later. Asking for pictures. I sent Tom 13 pictures of my damaged purse. Even the pics of the white paint drops their inept cobbler dripped on my Dior purse. I requested a refund from Tom, for both purses, and requested for my second purse to be returned immediately without the work done! Tom stated a claim option would be available next week on my account. I waited and waited, there was never a claim option available. I received my second purse on November 28, with the binding not completed, and the shoulder strap hidden in the inside pocket, not binded! The exterior color of the leather was stripped in a few places! I immediately sent them multiple pictures, and requested a refund, again. I received no response! I never signed a contract stating if the Cobbler ruins my purses it's at my own risk, nor is there any terms or conditions on their website stating that! This company has scammed and frauded me, and hundreds of their customers! Everyday there's a new complaint! I want my money back!!! I just got off the phone with one of the customer service agents and was told my bag was still not complete and the last information in the system was back in July in which they were waiting for supplies. They have had my Louis Vuitton Backpack since May. Vía a text message almost 30 days ago, my bag was not completed because the individual assigned my bag had left and my bag was going to be assigned to a senior artisan. Then I received an email stating my bag was going to be completed by the end of August. I received yet another message that said my bag was to be completed by the end of the week, almost two weeks ago. I am given different conflicting information. They have had my bag since May and yet I'm expected to pay for the repair for a service in which I'm given excuse after excuse for not being completed. I had to get up at 4:00a this morning to get someone from this business on the phone due to the time difference from where I live to their location and was still given another excuse and how my order was going to be escalated to the Senior Operations Manager since it is past due, but I was told that almost a month ago. Then I received yet another email that was an exact replica from the last email, which seemed very sketchy and makes me question the legitimacy of this company. I have brought 8 pairs of of shoes to their Magic City store that were in very bad shape. I cannot believe the magic they created with all of them. They literally made them new again. One pair in particular, a pair of Gucci drivers, that I was going to throw out as they were falling apart. After several escalation methods over the past week, I received my vintage LV tonight via UPS-3 Day delivery. The artistry of my bag is astounding. A designer bag that sat in my closet -on a shelf- unprotected- for over 30 years -ruined by water damage and not correctly protecting the leather- has been entirely restored by The Cobblers, and I am truly appreciative and thankful for the artist that worked on my bag. I am very pleased with *the repair and restoration*. Regarding customer service, personnel, organizational policies, processes, and operating IT systems *much* work and investments are needed for my customer satisfaction. Believe all the horror stories, my experience was exactly that! After being persuaded to send in my expensive sneakers to them for repair by their online rep, I was promised a 30 day completion. Let's just say it's been 3 Months and I still haven't gotten my item, which I needed for a very important photo shoot this past week. They will promise you new ETA and on that day when you contact them will tell you 2 more weeks. This has been going on for 2 additional months after my promised ETA. I will be going there to collect my item in person and I'm local thankfully. Do not trust this Mickey Mouse company with 0 customer service. I sent in my LV Manhattan bag valued at $2000 in May 2022. I got a quote of $800 to replace my buckle, the handles, and the piping. I was originally told that the bag would be ready May 24. May 24 came and went and I didn't check back until June. In June they told me that the bag would be ready June 24. I haven't heard anything from them since. I have sent emails with no reply. After 6 weeks, I didn't get any response from them so I finally emailed them. I never got a response even after emailing multiple times. And when you try to call, you can't get anyone on the phone even after 2 hours. Who can wait that long? So I started emailing them more, messaging them on Instagram, and they finally emailed me back. They said my bag was done being repaired, and it was ready to ship back to me. However, they didn't send me the final product picture. They gave me a tracking number, but that was 3 weeks ago. This probably should be 3 stars, but I'm grading on a curve due to COVID-19. I submitted a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for a new insole, protective outsole, and new heel tips. They did a good job on the insole and outsole, but they did not place new heel tips at all, simply ignoring that part of the order. But the real problems I had with the order are: (1) the amount of time it took to get back my shoes (over a month total); (2) the attempts are "upselling" me, which contributed to the delay in getting the work done; and (3) the lack of heel tips. This was my first time using The Cobblers, and I really wanted it to work out, because I have a number of other shoes that need a protective sole applied, but I don't have much confidence that the work will be done in a timely fashion. And I'm not sure all the work will be done (given the lack of heel tips on this order). read more

I reached out to the company today to get a status update since it has been a month. The customer service agent told me there was a delay due to quality control and delay in repairs department. The new estimated repair date is 7/14. I asked for a follow-up call with someone to discuss the situation. The agent said this would not be available and hung up on me. This is insane. They tried to fool me using a cheap material, look at the bad job, with a pen mark, I complained and all they did was to replace that tab with the pen mark. They left my bag looking like a fake bag. What started off as a great experience turned into a nightmare. I did a virtual consultation( 11/19/21) with Guillaume. He assessed the bag I needed repaired and explained the process very thoroughly. I advised him that I really needed the bag done before Christmas as is was part of a gift. He assured me there would be no problem and that so long as I brought the bag in the following Monday (11/22/21) I would be set. Once I physically got to the store is when the problems started. I walked in and was completely ignored by the staff. I waited by the door patiently and a guy walked out of the back and hailed me to the side of the counter. I advised that I had met with Guillaume and wanted to drop the bag off for service. He was not the least bit interested in helping me and just stuffed the bag back into the dust bag and threw it on the table. I asked if I got a receipt for the $1,100.00 bag I was handing over and was told its all electronic. I then get an email from Claudia the same night asking where my bag is and that I need to bring it in. I decide to call the store (please be advised no one ever answers the phone) several times and couldn't reach anyone. I send an email to Claudia advising that I had in fact dropped the bag off. She never responded. I waited until the first week of December to follow up again and then was told my bag was in line for service and that it would not be ready for Christmas. I emailed all of my backup documentation showing what was promised and my attempts to get clarification without success. Suddenly the same day, my bag is in service and I get a notification finally after two weeks, that my bag was received. My bag was ready on 12/22 which was great but again when I arrived, was not greeted or addressed. Had to ask to be seen and then waited 15 minutes for them to find the bag. They had taken my dust bag and replaced it with their own which I thought was pretty rude. The quality of the repair to the handles was sub par and the edging which they charge over $100.00 to replace on the handles was done poorly. I explained to the sales attendant that Guilluame had agreed to spot treat a light stain on the bag and the sales attendant basically cut me off and said that interiors of bags were difficult to treat. I explained to her that the bag was reversible so there was no fabric in any of it.... I paid $507.00 for a two handle repair done poorly. You can honestly go anywhere else for better work at 1/3 the cost. read more

I brought some shoes in to be repaired and was impressed by the place. This is more of a beautiful showroom with antiques, beautiful shoes & leather goods being showcased throughout the place. Just wow. Even if you don't have any needs for repairs, I recommend you stop by and admire this place. I brought in a pair of Nine West strapy sandals, they needed the heel caps replaced. This is something of a quick fix, yet they advised me my shoes would be ready in 3-4 weeks. And the price was probably triple as expensive than going to an ordinary shoe repair place, but I guess it's part of going to such a high end place. They emailed me when the shoes were ready, even sent pictures of the before & after via email, and they did a great job. I do recommend it, but it's definitely for high end pieces, as that's their expertise! read more
