Different tiers of annul membership available to purchase at main office that comes with some wonderful perks, such as free access to trails and special events. The main office also has some of the exhibition items like insect box and turtle box. Outside the office there's also bird and butterfly cages. We went to the center for our daughter to participate in butterfly feeding event. Upon arrival we found out we had to buy the tickets for one of the two scheduled events. Luckily there were slots available to the second event on the day. The ticket was reasonably cheap, only $8. It also came with an additional bird's exhibition that took place right in front of office deck. All the stuff members were very friendly, informative and interactive. We spent wonderful couple of hours here on beautiful warm summer day.

I sent my daughter here for camp as a 5 year old. She had her lunch packed in her backpack. The…read morecounselor didn't bother to look inside to check to see if she had one. My daughter went for a full day of camp on an extremely hot day, much of which was spent outdoors, without any food. Absolutely disgraceful. Even if the counselor didn't see the lunchbox, the right thing to do would have been to call me to ask if I had packed one, and if I had forgotten, to ask me to drop one off. When I brought it up to the company, they apologized and offered my daughter lollipops as a consolation and a discount to return for future. Are you kidding me??? I elected to never send my daughter back there again for her safety and never got a refund for the remaining weeks. I would think twice before sending my child here. Clearly the counselors have no common sense and it is not a safe environment for a young child who cannot yet advocate for herself.

I was initially skeptical of the Kumon back-to-basics approach, which is tried and true but lacks some of the shiny newness of what you might find elsewhere. But after two years of significant effort, I have to say it has made a real difference. My son is demonstrating mastery over the topics that he's covered and can now do things like multiply 2 digit numbers more quickly than I can (and I was a math major!). This fills a void left by the more conceptual and often confusing curriculum in vogue at the public schools these days, and perhaps more importantly has improved my son's confidence in math. I would certainly recommend giving Kumon of Glen Rock a try if you are considering supplemental education for your kids.
