You have to get a key to go to the bathroom, however staff were very friendly and the food did not take too long. We stopped in on our way to Seattle airport, nice stop for a quick breakfast! Good coffee and great service, but strongly recommend bringing a urinal bottle with you. The restrooms are a hike, there is no sign cautioning a patron the need for a key. So, after walking 500-feet thru a maze, one has to walk back to the front counter ask for the key and walk back. By the time you're done, you've walked a half mile. Also, the paring lot is tiny and difficult to get out of. read more

I took the WA state ferry in from Seattle and had an hour to kill. I walked past Starbucks because I enjoy small business coffee shops with awesome lattes instead! I saw The Coffee Oasis on Yelp, so I decided to take the walk there. The hemp milk latte was 4.5/5 stars! Almost perfection. And it was served with three choco-covered espresso beans, nice touch! I ordered a scone as well, but much to my chagrin, I didn't start eating it until I was on the ferry back and just then realized it was one of the best I've ever had! I love any business with a cause and coffee oasis was no exception. Atmosphere is really comfortable and warm. Customer service was awesome! The barista was really helpful and patient while I made up my mind. We bought their decaf beans as a gift for a family member and it is by far the best decaf black coffee I've ever had (it's a low bar but an accomplishment none the less-- this was a genuinely good cup of coffee!). Their beans are really high quality and absolutely worth the price. We also bought a Guatemalan and it was really intricate and also yummy! I ordered a Mountaineer and it was delicious! Not too sweet and really unique and special. 4 stars (instead of 5) is because my husband's espresso was over extracted which is more of a technique issue. We still love it though! read more

The place is nice for sit down cafe. Lots of places to sit and work. The barista was friendly, but the drink I ordered was probably one of the worst Chais I've ever had. It tasted like lukewarm milk, there was barely any flavor. I kindly asked for it to be spiced up or remade, she took my drink, added more of the pre-mixed chai that still tasted like milk and handed my drink back. Nothing changed it still tasted like just watered down milk. Maybe the other drinks were great based on the raving reviews but I was extremely disappointed in the Oasis Chai. First time I dropped in the Coffee Oasis was in 1999 when I moved here. Lots of places I got to know back then are long gone, but the Oasis is something to count on year in and out. The Burwell institution is large and comfortably arranged, with great sandwiches and light meals. I always thought in consequence of such great qualities, this place should be busy and even social, but it's very often empty. They seem to survive and grow and do good works for the community as a nonprofit, but I'd sure love to see it busier, with that much space. Anyone with a group that wants meetings out in the world on weekdays can be assured the coffee is good, the service is friendly, and there'll be plenty of room for your group. Or drop in with your computer to do some work on that novel or spread sheets, or to lounge about and read a paper, as there's never a shortage of space. For me if I just want coffee, I dash in and out, because sitting in there alone feels really strange and echoey. Great coffee and mission to train (formerly) homeless / at-risk youth. The barista was friendly, and I'm glad I went with the recommendation of his personal favorite: the honey latte. It was so good! Naturally sweet honey is way better than syrups and complements the coffee taste surprisingly well. Coconut lovers... Try the toasty coconut latte here! Very yummy. Super disappointed with our trip to coffee oasis today. They have a paper menu out with all their food items. When we tried to order them, the baristas stated. "Sorry, we aren't doing pastries right now." Please take it off the paper menu or have a sign. Also tried to order cold brew which they also didn't have. I understand places are busy on Monday with limited options in Bremerton but definitely make it more known to your customers. The chai I ordered was very bland. read more

Jackpot baby! Great coffee and a great breakfast burrito from The Coffee Oasis! Total score. Got off the ferry and immediately wanted coffee and something to eat. We stopped into The Coffee Oasis kind of on a rush, but we stayed anyways to relax for a moment before our busy day in Bremerton. I ordered a hot chai latte and a breakfast burrito. Of course I come from the land of breakfast burritos (San Diego), and I was super happy with my burrito here! It was piping hot with delicious. It was simple with sausage, egg, potato and cheese and so so good! Krystle got their veggie breakfast burrito that she clobbered herself. We quickly made our exit after we ate, but I noticed a few people there hanging out and doing some work there. Seems like a great place to chill for sure. I gave a four because there was some funky looking stuff in my panini! Some green mushy substance and a lot of Peppercini (sp) stems, that I had choked on. The barista was very friendly though. My drink was overly sweet and I really just wanted a plain one to balance it out and give it to my husband. But the barista gave us the latte. It wouldn't normally be that sweet in my hometown. The baristas are seriously stingy with flavors. So I got what I asked for. That was very kind and generous of him. Next time we go in, I will ask for a lightly sweetened or carry my agave. They also seemed very knowledgeable about coffees around the country as well which made it seem that the company made a good choice in hiring them and continuing to stoke their love for coffee. Frank & I were desperate for some caffeine after getting off the ferry, and this place is conveniently located right on your drive through town! Let me just say: this place has the best iced americano I've ever had, anywhere. It was so good! Plus they serve it with a chocolate-covered espresso bean, which I thought was pretty cute. Awesome. I was going to be in Bremerton and was looking for a coffee place that I could also get some wifi and lunch (I try to avoid big chains when possible). This place seemed interesting and was perfect. Coffee was good, club sandwich was delicious and there was plenty of tables to work at (I guess they have a church meet there to give you an idea of lobby size). It looked great inside and the staff were friendly, overall a very pleasant place to be for lunch. It also felt good knowing my purchases were going towards their teen homeless shelter upstairs. Looks like a bunch of Christians walking their talk. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in the area. Also I parked on the side of the building but there looks to be plenty of parking and a big entrance from the back too. read more

A good friend of mine told me about this place because they go to church here on Sundays, which surprises me that coffee shop will hold religious services on the Sunday. I was blown away to discover that they also make a difference in their community with their shelter and Vocational programs that welcome the homeless as well as youth. Public contribution aside, their coffee is direct trade, handcrafted, roasted in house and delicious! If you want a Cuppa Joe that impacts your taste buds as much as the community, look no further. read more

Congrads Coffee Oasis. At the age of 24 you have made me feel old. Something I didn't really expect to feel for a few more years at least. Decided to pop in to see a local band I'm a fan of play a show here last night (who by the way were pretty good) and while I there was nothing wrong with the place or anything this was one of the few rare times that I felt old and out of place somewhere. This place was crawling with high school kids doing their college student imitations while their parents sat in a corner waiting for the noise to end so they could go home and watch Saturday Night Live. All jokes aside you could tell that they are trying to create a safe place for teens to go to and their doing that job pretty well. With that said, the coffee here was great. Great roast, no bitterness. Just a damn good cup of coffee. I would almost dare to say the best cup you can get in Bremerton. The service was chipper and happy. Almost too happy, but it might have just been their attempts to be heard over the supper loud punk band playing. The place has a kinda weird Christian vibe that seems good natured but still made a uneven vibe with a punk band spewing F-Bombs while some kids look like their doing a bible study in the back. Overall I like the place, but the uneven vibe there will make this only a once in a blue moon place for me to visit. Maybe for another show perhaps? read more
