I was nervous because I had a bad acrylic experience at a different salon in Vancouver, and Lee made sure at each and every step that I felt my nails looked exactly how I wanted for my wedding. They sat me right away and great. 10 to 15 minutes to the said pedicure the "manager" started talking to their language which usually I don't mind but today was different as they were talking about if how long it would take for her to finish what she was doing. Do not waste your time or money at this salon. This salon lacks professionalism, customer service, and customer satisfaction with their cretin-like owners, and farcical policies. My mother couldn't make it to her hair appointment due to the stomach flu. She called to cancel, and was warned she owes a $42 cancellation fee. Having not been there before, she didn't want to give credit card information over the phone - so she asked to come in on her way home from the doctor. The employee over the phone told her not to come in, yet my mother did anyways to pay the fee in person. When she came in, as she was waiting for her change back for the fee, she coughed - the management under their breath told her to "fuckin' cover her mouth." Throughout the time being there, my mom was looked up and down by the employees behind the counter, overall making for an unpleasant experience. I called to get to the bottom of this, where management proceeded to tell me that my mom is a liar, and she can put down a deposit for her next hair appointment to waive the cancellation fee. I told her we weren't interested in doing that - we would like our $42 back and to speak with the owner. Management refused to let me speak to the owner, saying they can handle the situation themselves, despite how many times I've called asking for the owner. Management then proceeded to re explain to me what the word deposit means, instead of fixing the situation. The conversation ended badly, as no solutions were given. I was a returning customer for 2 years. Safe to say, I do not recommend this salon anymore, and I won't be back. As a fashion blogger who collaborates with many companies in the area, I will NOT be suggesting their business to consumers and companies I've worked with. To allow customers to leave their facility on such a negative note is by far the worst business strategy one could have. If there's anything to say about this entire salon, there are a TON of other salons in Vancouver - take your business elsewhere. Update: Spoke with the owner of the store on 12/6/2017. This time he threatened to have video of the entire situation released to the public online of interactions with my mother, WITHOUT given consent. That violates the two party privacy recording law established in the state of Washington. Instead of calling to clear the air and the situation, the owner proceeded to be aggressive by cutting off our conversation to threaten me. Why, you ask? Because he read my review on this site, didn't like what I wrote, and wanted to retaliate. No solutions have been given whatsoever by neither the owners or management. Had the owner held a civil conversation with me - I would've deleted or even changed this review. However, since the owner came off so aggressive, my review and experience with the quality of business and problem solving skills of the owner and management of this establishment has yet to be improved. Update Part 2: A stylist from the salon has gone so far now as to leave a comment on my Instagram account, which isn't connected to this account whatsoever. How they found my account is beyond me. The now deleted comment said how I falsely accused the salon with my review, never agreed to watch the footage of the entire situation, and tagged another stylist in the local area warning her of my business. Suggesting I never agreed to view the footage is false. It was never an offer made by the owner. Had that happened and things ended in their favor, I would've apologized, accepted the offer, and deleted or edited all reviews. This salon seems to have the most disrespectful customer service and unprofessional business strategies I've ever been in contact with. Out of every hair salon in Vancouver, this is by far the last one I'd recommend. read more

I have my bikini area and legs waxed regularly in my hometown in Hawaii, and was needing a wax while in the Portland area for work. I purchased a groupon for a brazilian wax with Dawn and scheduled a leg wax to get at the same time. I always get excited for the primping/waxing because it makes me feel so pretty and fresh even on the worst of days!.......Unfortunately, I happened to run into "the worst of days" when my wallet was stolen at work on the day of my wax appointment. I was left with no form of ID, no credit or debit cards, and no cash. I was upset because I had no way to pay for my leg wax, but still had the groupon for my bikini wax so went to the appointment anyway. I told Dawn why I couldn't get my legs waxed, but she happily waxed my legs anyway. I was SO grateful that without ever having met me before, she was willing to do an extra service without me even be able to pay her! I promised I'd come back and pay her when my cards were replaced (and I did), but she really had no way of knowing that at the time of service. Dawn made me feel better on my super bad day... and that is priceless! She did a good job, and showed kindness to an absolute stranger. Dawn is a really genuine person and does her job because she loves it. I would fully recommend her for your waxing needs-- many are good at waxing (and she is), but only few have such kind hearts! (p.s. if you read my review for Bloom organics...yes, it's similar, because these appointments were the same day. These women showed me such generous trust and I can't thank them enough! I've receive multiple massages from Nicole A. We focus on certain pain I get in my lower back and carpal tunnel. Nicole listens actively and follows through with an exceptional service. I've received a massage from Dawn M. It was INCREDIBLY relaxing, she provided the massage you'd expect to get in a spa environment. I've receive a custom facial by Dawn K. She had an incredible consultation with me in regards to my facial skin needs and wants. She customized the facial to my skin type and goal. I left glowing! I've received a haircut by Brice H. He listened to what I wanted and provided just that. He gave an exceptional shampoo and was very pleasant to talk to. I've receive a deep conditioning from Monic C. What Monic suggested to me changed my hairs integrity! It feels so good and less over-processed. She gave one of the BEST scalp massages I've ever had and did a wonderful, thoughtful blowout. I had an amazing first time experience at this salon. When I first walked in I got a nice inviting vibe,the lobby area has some beautiful art on the walls all done by local artists,as well as a little area of handmade purses,hair accessories,and more. The receptionist was very polite asking me right away if I needed anything to drink and told my nail tech right away that I was there,so no having to sit around and wait like some places make you do. During this visit I just got my nails done,but I already know that I am for sure coming back for other services!! I was so happy with my nails that I showed them off to everybody,and the coolest part about getting them done was that my nail tech,Mary Ann did not use ANY drills or buffing tools EVERY process was done by HAND!! So my nails will not be all destroyed when I decide to take them off,and they didn't hurt the next day like I have experienced every other time I have gotten my nails done. Deserves five stars all the way! Google reviews has this place at a higher rating, justly so. I came on short notice to get my hair done and got scheduled on the same day to do a color and haircut. The location of this area is a little bit unfortunate. Put the address into Google maps to make sure you get there correctly. The outside of the salon will give you doubts, until you open the doors and go inside. It's like a completely different world on the inside! Reception smells amazing and has sweets and products available very professionally. Reception was super friendly. My hairstylist was Catherine C. She did such a superb job on my hair I couldn't believe how well it came out on the first visit. I was growing my hair out from a pixie and it had been box dyed red, and grew out awkwardly. Catherine completely transformed it and got me to a gorgeous almost platinum blonde in the first session. I get compliments on my hair every day! Super highly recommend. What a wonderful, relaxing place. I've been going here for about 4 years and always greeted by name. The front office staff are efficient and check you in promptly. There are chairs for waiting, but minimal waiting. Snacks, drinks, and items for sale occupy your time. Kelly, my stylist, has always gotten my color right and I leave with a cut and color I adore. And it is so soft and shiny too. I have been getting a 60 minute facial with Lanie at the same time as the salon service. Nothing like feeling relaxed and glowing when she is finished. It's so easy to make future appointments when checking out. This experience is a god send for busy people. (During the pandemic, I ordered products online and picked them up at the door. I was unexpectedly given an Invisible Dry Shampoo by Redken. It was just in time, as I was in the hospital shortly afterwards. It worked like a dream! I was desperate when I called Spoiled Salon yesterday to have my color corrected. I had just 3 days prior gone to someone else who put two really dark colors over my bleached blonde hair.. It was horrible! April recommended a non-bleach color corrector to avoid any further damage to my hair. I am thrilled to say that I am back to blonde AND my hair feels great!! I honestly didn't think it could be fixed let alone have decent hair when it was all said and done. Seriously, April is AMAZING!! She explains everything along the way so you feel like you are a part of the process. She is obviously extremely knowledgeable about hair and genius with color and blondes. I booked Lena to do my hair here at Spoiled Spa and Salon twice and I'm in love with her work, for sure will continue to go to her!:). She was recommended to me by a family friend and I messaged her asking about getting a balayage before my baptism a little last minute and at the time she was all booked out but said she'd squeeze me in somehow if a client had canceled last minute, she put in effort to make sure to get me an appointment, I came in expecting to be there for 4 hours minimum since usually it takes 4-6 hours with my hair but I came in and out with a balayage in two hours if not less! And my hair was left feeling healthier and softer then before too. The second time I got layers and was scared since I've never had them before, throughout the process she made sure I was happy and asked for my opinions on it and I left satisfied both times. Do not go to this spa. When they mess up, which is all 3 times that I've been there. They do not know how to make it right. When they talk to you it's like they are laughing in your face when you are telling them that they made a mistake. Their words when they made a mistake is "Well there is nothing we can do" Wrong, there is something you can do. Make it right! The receptionist needs to take a customer service class. They need to learn how to smile. The worst place to go. Their steam room never works. It's noisy. People stomp their feet walking in the hall. Doors close hard. The owners bring their kids there. This salon is everything you'll want and more. The staff is so kind and accommodating first of all. Everyone is excited to see you even if you aren't their client. They have top of the line products as well, my products are always available in shop so it's very convenient to pick up what I need after getting my hair done. Roze Tomlinson is my go too! I had an amazing experience with Kristin Butler of Spoiled Salon. I hadn't had my hair done since before COVID times and was desperate for someone to help bring some life back into my locks. I showed her a few pictures of what I had in mind, but really gave her the freedom to do a cut and color that would be complimentary to me. Fantastic place! Got the Spoiled Brat package and it was amazing! Went back for a Brazilian blowout with Kristian - it was great! My hair looks amazing. I have a real issue with Spoiled Salon & Spa. First of all, their customer service when I walked in was lacking warmth or welcome. Throughout the entire duration of my hair appointment, the stylist I had was dismissive, did not listen, and spend more time checking her text messages than cutting my hair. Not too many men at the salon. I am going there again to get my hair cut. Be prepared to spend a lot of time there. I was there for2 hours. If you do not want to spend a lot of money for a hair cut this is the place to go. They take credit cards but you need cash to tip the stylist. .

I have curly hair that being said if you cut my hair like a shag on the slant just running the shears at an angle you get friz. I almost cried when the instructor did this, maybe she needs to go to school? It should have been blunt cuts to maintain curl. The student I had was already 6 months in and its a 10 month program. Come on if your gonna name the place Elite at least elvevate the education. Unless its just a trim don't go here. also bring cash because the students who are paying a thousand dollars a month for the program work for tips and the salon wont let you add it to the balance...
