This salon was so cute walking in. They have a bunch of hair things to look at and drinks readily available. It makes me wish that I needed my hair taken care of everyday haha. I saw Kira and she was WONDERFUL. She pegged my hair perfectly which is not easy to do. Gave my a really great cut that made my hair healthy and gorgeous again and had some great conversation while we were at it. Have been going here with my daughter for years and never been disappointed like this, maybe this is what I get for going to the orchards location instead of grand central, but we will not be returning, they state because the stylist is "independent" they cannot do anything about the situation. So guaranteed at this point I will not be recommending them at all to anyone either as it's clear they cannot guarantee anything with their "employees" Got my hair done a month ago by Jada , truly truly gave it my best to like what I got, which was no where close to what I asked for, expressed my concern at the end of the appointment and was told to give it a few weeks and if I didn't like it we could smudge it darker; as she easily added 3 times as much blond as I was asking for, not ever indicating at ANY POINT their "7 day policy for adjustments or refunds" also something I'm not very familiar with as I almost NEVER complain about stuff like this. I didn't even want to write a review to begin with but when I asked just for the money for the service back so I could afford to get it fixed was told that I missed my window for that and that she wouldn't be continuing any further. To be extremely clear, as I was in the consultation, I wanted to keep my dark, get a haircut, and just enough highlights, to blend in the greys I've been getting, may take a couple sessions that's fine but I DID NOT WANT TO BE BLONDE, in the end I got a full head of CHOPPY highlights, no hair cut, and almost no dark hair left at all. read more

There is no place I'd rather go and I drive 45 minutes each way for every single haircut appointment. It is 100% worth it. Let me also start by saying that a lot of the negative reviews you read here on Yelp are bogus & are because someone was held accountable for being a flake. No one at Spoiled put me up to this or even knows that I'm writing this review, so everything I say here is a complete reflection of my experience. Spoiled holds you accountable for your actions and I love it! Time is money and if you don't show up, you get charged a percentage. THIS IS A GOOD THING! High Value Businesses with High Quality services have a lot of people waiting for an opportunity to get in, so if you flake, then it is discouraging for everyone. They give you plenty of time to cancel before being charged & they give you multiple texts & email notifications to let you prepare. If you cancel in a timely fashion, they charge you nothing & they can fill your spot. I believe it is even until up to 24 hours before your appointment that you can cancel free of charge. I encourage you to ignore any strange negative reviews & experience it for yourself. I say again, Spoiled is the absolute best in the area & they deserve to be treated with respect, for all the talent and hard work of their stylists. For the last 20 years, only 2 stylists have touched my hair. Owner & resident wizard April Allen is one of them. My previous stylist moved to New York & now cuts famous peoples' hair & I worry that one day April will do the same because she is extremely talented as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened one day and I would be completely happy for her, but for now she is keeping me looking iconic, haircut after haircut. Like if you combined the words scissors & wizardry into one, Scizzardry. Everywhere I go I get compliments on my hair. Spoiled also offers so many other services that help with self care. Check out all they have to offer, it is quite a few different things. As a man, it's hard to find a salon that you feel comfortable at, because most guys just goto a local barber or some cheap place. So, if you want a quality cut, Spoiled is the place to go. Every single person cutting hair there is on point as well. If you are looking to get in, in a more timely fashion, then any stylist in that building will do a great job. If you are waiting for someone specific, it may take a few weeks to get you in, so be prepared for that. After several front desk girls at the Orchards location requested to reschedule me (within 2 days) with 4 different hair stylists to do a simple consult and strand test (not *my* choice, all 4 stylists (Lauren, Analia, Jada, and Payten) had different excuses to cancel on me, except Analia. Analia just switched me to Jada with no explanation and didn't even bother to ask me in advance, all I got was the email that I took a screenshot of and attached to my review), I won't be going back. Then Jada cancelled, but no one called to reschedule. So when I called and spoke with Nani, she rescheduled me with Payten. Then Sophia called me to say Payten's schedule was too full to see me. If that's the case then why did Nani schedule me with her in the first place??? One of the stylists (Lauren) didn't even show up for my first appointment. I was told the online scheduling system, Vagaro, had a "glitch" when I scheduled with Lauren that's happened to several other stylists before. Not sure why it hasn't been fixed yet if that many stylists are aware of it malfunctioning. I would say to call to schedule your appointment to circumvent the online scheduling "glitch"; however, the front desk uses Vagaro to schedule appointments too, so there's no way around it. At any rate, this experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a waste of my time to say the least, not to mention it was super unprofessional how this was handled. You would think they'd make damn sure they'd schedule me with a 4th stylist that wasn't going to reschedule on me after all that, but nope. I guess that's how much they care about a color correction, balayage, hair treatment, and haircut service on mid-back length hair that I was willing to spend a lot of money on. And y'all know that wasn't going to be cheap. read more

I was hoping for a relaxing experience and it fell completely short of my expectations. The woman who performed my massage was welcoming and personable. However, she sat on a stool that had wheels for half my massage and whenever the stool moved it completely disrupted my relaxation as it rolled from one side of the table to the other. I also felt like the greased up deaf guy from Family Guy after it was all said and done. The music would stop randomly and it would change to an ambient sound like crickets. I could also hear the conversations of people either walking down the hallway or from the salon down the hall. She did a great job staying away from the areas we discussed cause me discomfort during massage. After the massage she tried to prebook me for four weeks out for another massage and I had to pass since it was the second worst experience I'd ever had getting a massage which is a total shame because the massage itself wasn't terrible. read more

Over filed my natural nails, I have a regular nail tech that I see and I've never had an issue with thin nails but I scheduled a nail removal because my tech was out of town and the nail tech absolutely trashed my nails and now they're so thin it's painful to do basic day to day activities like washing my hands. Instead of waiting for the acetone to to remove the acrylic I had on my nails she scraped and filed them down to almost nothing. I stopped by this place for a little relaxation and deep tissue massage while on a business trip in the area, and I'm so glad I did. The team was very helpful and fun to shoot the breeze with. The chairs were full and the ladies were all laughing and obviously enjoying themselves. It was just a great energy overall. The massage was phenomenal! I could not get an appointment at my regular spa for a hair color before an upcoming trip so I thought I would give spoiled spa and salon a try based on all of the great yelp reviews. First impression was great considering the online appointment scheduling and the willingness to get me in asap and help me out before my trip. The salon itself is very cute and they use great products which gave me faith that my hair was in good hands. After an initial consult, my stylist and I decided that the balayage package ($132) was a good fit for what I wanted. At the time I had pretty dark, almost black roots and pre existing highlights from the time before so I didn't think it would be that hard and would look good. I was wrong, somehow or another my balayage turned into lots of highlights, very very brassy highlights! After 4 hours and toner x 2, I left but still felt like my hair was very brassy and not what I had in mind. I should mention that she was super nice and openly stated that if I wasn't happy she would be more than happy to fix. So I called the next day, they were nice enough to put me with another stylist who applied yet another toner and I left with a reddish/brown hair color. So for 6 hours and $150 I ended up with a hair color that looks horrible on me. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the color talent just wasn't there so I'm going to have to give 2 stars. read more

I came in and asked for a long A-line, I previously had that cut there with success and it looked fantastic. so I came in and ask for it again after waiting a year-and-a-half of growing my hair out from the last cut, my hair was about mid-length to my back, absolutely beautiful hair I must add. They put me with somebody who was still in their associates program there when I sat down, she didn't know what a long A- line was, so I proceeded to ask for a more experienced hairdresser, they gave me someone named Catherine who has been there for 2 weeks at this point, but had "20 years of experience cutting hair" . Long story short she messed up the hair so bad that I cannot wear it up anymore, which if she had done it correctly, I would have been able to... instead of the back of the hair gradually tapering forward , It was cut to a high v to where I can't wear it behind my shoulders, because it looks like my hair got caught in a lawn mower. When I complained about the haircut she refunded me, which was very polite. I find it unfortunate that despite thorough explanation of what I wanted and showing a photo of what I had before, they still cannot get it right. I waited a few days and called back to speak to the manager to see if I could schedule a time to come in and see if they can fix my hair to a more manageable state, I talked to the owner whose name is Skylar who abruptly and in a very negative tone told me "if the hairdresser already refunded your haircut, she's not obligated to fix it" I then replied with "yeah that's okay I don't want her touching my hair again, I want someone else to fix it". Skyler then said any very demeaning manner," well do you plan on paying for this fix?" .. I hesitantly replied with well of course!! He said, lemme see if i have someone who'd fix it... And then baffled by his response and tone, i said "wow,ok!" And he said back "excuse me!??" And i repeated " wow you seem like your having a bad day, your attitude towards me is very rude right now" he then said to me " I AM THE OWNER OF THIS FACILITY!" .. i chuckled and responded with "yes i am aware and that's even more reason why you should be polite to customers!" He said "we dont have a hair dresser for you, goodbye!" And he hung up on me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN AND I AM A REPEAT CUSTOMER LONG TERM CUSTOMER AND MY HAIR COSTS A LOT SO I WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
