My husband and I were dinking around town on our day off so we decided to hit up The Collector's Outpost. My husband has been a fan of comics since his youth. Bat Man and Marvel comics were his go to. So, coming to this joint only made sense. Yoooooo, this has to be one of the dopest comic book stores around! As soon as you walk in, everything catches your eye! You have Deadpool right at the door. You have beautiful display cases with the most realistic characters in them. Funko Pops nicely organized on shelves. Comic books neatly arranged in bins nicely labeled. It truly is a prestine store. We looked around for a bit. I was just in awww at how cool everything was. My husband was mainly doing the looking. He didn't really find anything that caught his eye. He has a pretty good collection but didn't find what he was specifically looking for. All good cause there's always next time! The gentleman that was working today was really nice! Even though he was mid conversation with another customer, he still greeted us! Very loudly and happily too! The set up of this joint is cool! And the fact that they serve coffee here so you can chill and read a comic is dope. I wouldn't mind sipping on a coffee chilling with my husband while he's vibing to a comic. We both look forward to coming back and seeing what kind of new displays and comics they have. read more

What is not to love?!? Honestly, so excited to have found this place. It's a collectors dream, and so fun to just hang out, walk around and check everything out but also to enjoy a delicious coffee. Service was great, the smoothies were so yummy and I ordered the Starlord coffee and it was fantastic. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend this fun coffee shop/collectors shop. If you love coffee and comics then this a cool destination spot!!! This happened to be across the street from my hotel and wanted to support local owned business and NOT a Starbucks or chain. A double shot espresso and a medium house drip coffee totaled $4.35! I had to double check with the barista to ensure that was the correct total, and YES THAT WAS MY TOTAL!!! I wished I had a more time to check out their comic selection, but that will have to be on my next visit. BTW: The house coffee was smooth with a nice nutty flavor (no sweetener or creamer used). My daughter also enjoyed her double espresso shots which sparked her game play during her volleyball match. Now I wished I lived closer to Boise. read more

Super unique, amazing coffee, awesome comics and collectibles, great staff! What more could you ask for?

We went to eat next door of this place and there was a wait so I told my husband to kill time let's go check out next door. We didn't know it was a coffee shop once we open the door to the shop... My husband was in awe with the shop the action figures they had on the walls and around was great its the coffee shop for comic book lovers and coffee drinkers. My husband is both. My husband had an Americano he loved the taste of the coffee and the temperature was great. My nephew he is only 4 had a cold chocolate milk and I had something with Carmel and something else I already forgot but it was so good and not too sweet it was perfect. My husband was just looking at everything and making a list of things he wants for Xmas from this place. The two gentlemen who where working the coffee bar where great attentive and nice. We definitely will be coming back for the coffee and the comic books. read more

I'm not a collector, but love movies and coffee and this place did not disappoint! We popped in when we were waiting for our table at MoeJoe's for breakfast. We were blown away! Some REALLY cool memorabilia and collectibles! And hands down THE BEST latte I've had in a very long time! My sis-in-law said hers was delicious as well. This is a great comic and coffee shop. I have a comic book pullbox here and I stop by weekly to pick up my comics and get a great cup of coffee. Quite a surprise to find this coffee shop / comic book shop in Idaho. It should be on the list of top things to see in Idaho. It is really more of a museum. The recreated comic book scenes, behind giant enclosed glass cases are professionally done. If you love comic books, Legos, Star Wars, definitely come check it out. This is one of my grandson's favorite places to find comic books. The owner, Tom, is very helpful and friendly. He'll order the comics that my grandson is missing and call when it comes in. The store has delicious coffee specialties and baked goods to sit and enjoy while reading the comics at clean tables and sitting areas. It's becoming one of our hangouts! There was a fun event of raffle giveaways and costume contests all day last weekend for Halloween. Lots of free comics, candy, snacks and prizes made for a wonderful Saturday!
