Communication with management was consistently unreliable, messages often went unanswered, and when responses did come, they were vague or dishonest. Most frustratingly, vendors weren't given proper notice when the store decided to close. Many of us, myself included, found out at the same time as the public through social media posts. There was no formal outreach to vendors about how to retrieve our inventory, aside from a few Facebook comments from someone unrelated to the business operations, offering vague instructions. The consignment software we were required to use was also abruptly disabled, leaving no clear records for vendors regarding what items were sold or still in stock. This entire situation has been handled in an unprofessional, careless, and frankly disrespectful manner to the small businesses that supported this store. I would caution any makers or vendors considering partnering with this business, should it reopen under new ownership or branding, to be aware of how poorly this was handled and protect yourself accordingly.

Honestly, I was wildly underwhelmed after how much it was hyped up. It reminds me a bit of Zia Records in Phoenix, but a version that has kind of lost the plot. Their record selection was much smaller than I was expecting, as the knick knacks and gifts have all but swallowed the store. I understand in this market, to survive you gotta sell socks...but the sheer overwhelming amount of tchotchkes prattling to Swifties and pop culture made the shop seem incredibly dorky and visually overwhelming. It felt more like a tourist spot than an actual record store and was not very relaxing to browse in. Not to mention how pricey the tchotchkes and such are. $8 for a sticker? No thanks. Their t-shirts have a premium as well, at least $5-10 more than other local record stores. The record selection was...okay. They had some cool stuff as far as reissues but the markup was high. (Which I understand because distributers already charge a premium). The used records were alright, I found some cheap gems in the $2-5 range that were in the VG+ range. But it was nowhere near what I expected. I still supported them, but I doubt this would be a return spot for me since I'm spoiled by Zia and Amoeba. I love what they provide for the community, but it's probably not the spot for more serious record collectors who want to browse without a bunch of kids yelling next to them.

There is a MASSIVE collection of records in every genre. The records are very competitively priced and there were tons of collectible records in exceptional condition. Ask for Bill or Rori, their music knowledge is exceptional and they are great at finding the exact albums you are looking for. There is something here for everyone from coin collectors to art and even clothing pattern collectors. The space is really big so plan on looking around for a while. I used to collect insulators and found a bunch here and while I no longer collect them, it made me smile. If you are out hunting for interesting finds, it is worth the trip to Caldwell to check it out and if you are a record collector this is a must in your travels and will become a regular stop.

It's been a few years since I have been here. Being sick on dialysis, shopping just didn't interest me since I was so tired all the time. I finally made my way in today and I'm so happy I did. I always have such a fun time looking at everything. Walking in, the store front looks just as charming and magical as ever. I came in looking for a lamp and anything else that spoke to me. I wasn't looking for anything specific. That's the best way to shop. I love walking around and checking out all the vendors, I was in awww with a few of thier pieces. The big good stunning gold mirrors, beautiful chandeliers, how everything is delicately displayed. I found myself some mini creamer pitchers. I love collecting these little beasties and decorating them with flowers. I also did find a beautiful pink lamp but I have to dicuss the price with he husband before I go swoop it up. It is hard not to want everything here. It's all so pretty. I need to come back more often. I'm redecorating my house and would love to pick up some pieces here for it.
