I immediately went back in with her to complain. The lady looked at her hair, took a section between her fingers to show a very uneven end and said look it is even. I was so dumbfounded, (and obviously we did not want her to fix it) that we just left. My daughter had to have her hair completely re-cut.

She mixed the colors together to create an orange color and died my whole head. I had a friends mom fix it and paid almost $200. She spent 3 hours coloring every strand of hair just to get the orange out. I sent Cristi a message to politely ask for a refund since she completely messed up my hair and she said that because I went to someone else that I TRUSTED, she would not refund me $115! I also explained the situation to the salon owner and she refused the refund also. Do not go to Cristi if you want your hair colored.

After trying multiple hair stylists around the area and not finding one who could get coloring…read moreright, I finally was referred to Laura at Court Street Hair by a coworker (whose high or low lights coloring is always well blended and just the right shading). Laura not only fixed the past errors of other coloring stylists but also nailed the coloring that I was hoping for. Just natural looking blonde highlights. Quality: She takes her time and is very meticulous with the foils getting close to the scalp and also does a lot of foils to make the blend natural. It takes longer than some who may just slap a few foils in but the end result is worth it. Perk: she takes a few minutes when shampooing your hair to massage your scalp. It feels amazing! They also have neck pads so you don't get that sore sink neck the next day! Price: I have long hair so highlights and a trim take about 3 hours and the price is about $75.00 so I try to tip generously. That's a really great price for the quality and time spent. I've moved to portland but will continue to trek down to Dallas on a weekend every few months just to keep going to Laura!

I was more than pleased and if I had not been in such a hurry I would have booked them for brows and eyelash extensions. I do appreciate their honesty in not having anyone skilled/trained in cutting curly hair but Monmouth is a tiny college town in rural Oregon so this is to be expected. They service a binary population and the vibe is fun. I am happy to give them 5 stars because they excel at what they do. Will most assuredly return when I have more time.
