Rating Olivia Viggers and the Color Bar for keeping her. I went into the Color Bar for a hair cut (maybe 5 or 6inches), I had hair to between my bra and my waist. I had sent pictures to Olivia of exactly what I wanted. When I arrived we discussed the length and that it would be my shortest layer, at the time it was right above my boob. I am not sure what got into her and why she went scissor happy, but she chopped my hair right above my collarbone. My hair is now a short thick, mess. I paid and tipped because I didn't actually know the damage of my hair till I got home other than it was really short. She messed my hair up. It's not even, it looks like she was trying for an a line bob and backed out. it's heavy and not blended. I would not recommend her. read more

Christie and her crew are the BEST! I've been a client for over 10 years and could not imagine trusting my hair to anyone else. The atmosphere is always welcoming at the color bar and I look forward to our "hair dates" each month. Christie has an amazing knowledge of hair, what products or cut work well for each hair type and how color will react with your current shade. She's always realistic about what my hair can take and how a style might look. She brings years of experience, but also continues to educate herself about the latest styles & products, in turn providing education to her clients-I didn't realize I could understand so much about my hair! I tried for weeks to get in with Olivia, back and forth Instagram messaging. She flaked on me a month or so ago because of a supposed family emergency. After not hearing from her for weeks I reached out again.. we settled for a 2:30pm on a Thursday since she doesn't work weekends I was told. I had to take two hours off work just to make it. I showed up and was told by another hair dresser she had left for the day. The other hair dresser attempted to contact her to no avail. I was provided her number and shot her a quick text but I never received a reply... I guess I don't know the magic word. If you can get an appointment with Olivia, good luck! This whole situation with Liv has been weird, suspicious, and downright horrible. Her Instagram seems a bit...to good to be true. I was looking for someone local who could do hand tied extensions and heard about Liv through a family member, no one around here does them...except apparently Liv. I was thrilled. I recently had my hair lightened but the roots were way too dark for my liking and it really threw me off, so I started searching for someone good with blonde tones who could fix me. I searched for a month, and I thought I hit the jackpot with finding Liv. I made an appointment with her for just a couple weeks out, even better, not a long wait! I had an appointment scheduled at 2pm but a few days before she asked if I could do 10am instead which I reluctantly agreed to. The day of I texted 15 mins before the appointment to let her know I would be 5-10 mins late because of unexpected traffic and a sick dog (he was sick all night and that morning making me worried and tired) and she texted back saying that was unacceptable and that she couldn't see me at all. I was crushed! Literally crushed, I made it to the salon at 10:05 and she was no where to be found, already gone. The owner was the only one in there so I asked her if Liv was around...nope not there...I vented a little about being just 5 mins late and being cancelled on, I was really looking forward to this apt and was really upset about the whole situation! I had to sit down and gather myself! It all was very unsettling. A girls hair can make or break their confidence and I was really looking forward to feeling better. I didn't think the text was that big of a deal since I was just around the corner, actually almost there, and was just trying to be really on point and polite by touching base about a few extra mins. I texted Liv again and asked her to please see me, after tons of texts she finally responded and agreed to see me the next morning at 9:30am. I took it, but had a feeling she was just trying to get rid of me. She never answered any of my calls, only texts. Later that same day Liv texted me and cancelled the second (third?) appointment as well. Crushed again!! She said that she was not going to take me on as a client because of how I acted in the salon! She said the owner did not appreciate it and that we would not make a good fit as client hair dresser. I didn't act inappropriately...that is just rude, I acted bummed out, stressed and that's about it. And I was in there for about 2 minutes. Now I have been blocked, on the phone and Instagram. Bottom line is she skirted around and never gave me a chance. I almost feel catfished since I never actually met her. I was feeling awful about my hair already, so having someone tell me I was acting unacceptable for 5 mins, or unacceptable for being really upset about being canceled on (when I was trying SO hard to have my hair fixed before school was back in session and before I had to go back to an important internship position)...I felt shamed - but that went away quickly because I don't give a damn what the ladies at this dark dicey looking salon think. I really wanted to say - you don't know me and you didn't even think to consider what I may have been going through. Regardless, I found someone amazing to fix my hair the very next day, on top of that I found someone else to do my NBR extensions. It's too bad for you because I am actually a very dedicated and amazing client to have. read more
