If you, like me, used to get your hair cut at The Nite Owl in Longbranch just a few blocks west, you'll also recognize that along with Dave, familiar faces like Mike and Jara have come along for the Black Collar ride. It's a really great space, lovingly built and decorated with bits of Dave's Irish and Newfoundlander background mixed with some slick new black leather barber chairs and vintage finds. I've been now for three cuts and the banter and shenanigans remind me of early days at Nite Owl when it was only three barbers (Dave being one of them).
