CASH ONLY! I am a fan of the flurry. The banana creme pie flurry is so good made with real banana chunks and vanilla wafer, but the marshmallow flavor mixed in makes it taste like an amazing creme pie. Try it. There are other reviews that say this is soft serve only but it's not true, they have a bunch of flavors of Hudsonville as well listed under hardserve.

Delicious ice cream with loads of tasty options at reasonable prices with a cute patio where you can sit while enjoying your treat. For Grand Rapidians, a stop to the Cone Shoppe is a necessary annual tradition for summer fun!

Final days of the season.

This place is soft serve only with a few dozen 'twisty' options. From classic strawberry to pistachio, there is absolutely something out there for you to try. You can also get a sundae but have to pick from your normal soft serve flavors for that. There are also other things like shakes and the like if you're not feeling a cone. This place is towards the end of Michigan almost anchoring the shopping plaza that it is in. It's a walk up only situation with a nice little seating area. Please keep in mind that you want to hit this place in the warmer months as it's not open all year.

With 24 flavors of soft server ice cream, plus a whole arsenal of hot and cold delights, the Cone Shoppe is a great summertime stop! Make sure you bring cash, as they do not accept plastic! This place is old school. Moderately priced and good quality food. Also within walking distance from my house. Dangerous.

Best ice cream around. Their vanilla is so thick, creamy, and smooth. Just remember to bring cash!

This is definitely my favorite ice cream place to visit during the summer in Grand Rapids, hands down.

Should have weighed it just to see how much the cup costs lolol. Lots of flavor and toppings options. Facility was clean and smelled like an ice cream shop should so I felt very comfortable selecting toppings. I chose cotton candy yogurt with gummy bears as a kicker. Total cost $5.35 definitely a place you could spend some money at if you are not careful. I plan on going back for another flavor combo next time I am in the area. The staff was youth and kind. Didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy.

This stuff is expensive but there's really no way for you to know how much you're going to be paying until your cup is weighed. This business model is so wild to me, yet it works. Nate and I stopped in to this location of the Pump House recently for a sweet treat. The bowls are huge, which makes you buy more! They also have cardboard dividers so you can separate your bowl and try up to three flavors, which is what I did. The options are extensive - I think they had at least 20 flavors of frozen yogurt. They also have hard scooped ice cream but I'm not sure if you can use the toppings bar on those choices. I tried the vanilla caramel swirl, mint, and mango raspberry sorbet. They have dairy free options which is nice. The toppings bar is bonkers - I've never seen so many options, ranging from sweet to salty to weird (hot cheetos anyone?). I typically go for the gummy candy but I wish I knew which toppings were the lightest! At 69 cents per ounce, we paid over $20 for our two cups. That's bananas to me, honestly, but I knew it would be pricey going in. The vanilla caramel was my least favorite of the frozen yogurt flavors - it was definitely very caramel-y flavored but I thought it was overpowering. The mint was really good and the sorbet was sour and refreshing. Definitely not a place I'll go regularly, but it's a fun place to check out occasionally.

Since I'm simple and usually get a standard twist cone with sprinkles, I'm easy to please. For me, the soft serve has been somewhat inconsistent; sometimes it's great and sometimes its really soft and has melted quickly which made it a race to eat! I've also had some random texture issues with some flurries. One time my wife had the drumstick flurry and I don't know what happened, but the texture became super grainy and almost like the ice cream was curdling/separating. That for sure felt like a one-off, but is now always in my mind and makes me far less likely to get a flurry. There is almost always a line in the evening and on weekends, but it does tend to more quickly. It's a time to chit chat and gives you plenty of time to check out the extensive menu. I love that it's dog friendly so pals can bring their babes or I get to see other people's dogs! They don't have a ton of seating, but it's not generally presented as an issue. I appreciate that the seating is behind the building and provides some shade for hot summer days, but wish it wasn't right next to the dumpster.

Frosty Boy has so many options for different sundaes, slushies, flurries etc. 9 times out of 10 I'm getting some sort of flurry. Most recently I had a cookie dough flurry and added m&ms. Just so good and they put the perfect amount of toppings in it. Parking can be kinda chaotic! The parking lot is small but there's residential street parking nearby. They also have some picnic type tables at the front of back of the building to sit and enjoy your dessert.
