My childhood favorite ice cream was orange sherbet so when I saw this on the menu, I immediately added The Cone to our itinerary and prioritized it. My husband and I shared the orange sherbet swirl and my girls each had their own cones. One had the strawberry swirl and the other had the zebra swirl. Everybody got what they wanted! Be sure to eat it fast because the soft serve was melting really fast even though the temperature was in the upper 70s. read more

What a shame! How did one of the best soft serve ice cream shops around decline so fast? I bought the turtle sundae expecting soft serve ice cream covered in caramel and chocolate.....Technically, I guess I received it. What I got was a cup of block of frozen soft serve that had been is a freezer with all of the toppings stuck to the bottom of the cup! The taste was weird and the color was off too..... I visited The Cone the first time and was very disappointed with Emily. I tried to give it another try and was still very disappointed with the customer service I received from Jonathan including Emily. As a first-time customer, I was unfamiliar with the ordering process and had not yet reached the menu when I began asking questions. I simply wanted to know what flavors were available and whether I should order a cup or a cone. Instead of receiving helpful guidance, I felt as though Jonathan was looking at me like I should already know the answers. His demeanor came across as dismissive and made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked Emily what flavors were available, her response was simply, "A whole bunch; yea we have a lot" delivered in a tone that felt rude and unwelcoming. Rather than helping a new customer, both employees made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. I have never felt so degraded while trying to place an order. Basic customer service should include treating customers with patience and respect, especially when they are visiting for the first time. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Even though my orange swirl was good, the quality of the product did not make up for the poor customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers receive a more welcoming experience. read more

Just way too much fudge where I could not finish half because if was literally nothing but a thick mass off chocolate looking blob. On a hot day I was ice cold ice cream and not a hot fudge goo. Went with my family one evening and we got our ice cream very quickly. I got an ice cream with brownie and cookie dough and the brownie bits were absolutely amazing. This has always been a favorite place for us, but lately I'm not sure. The sundae I ordered recently was not as good as previous ones. And the staff doesn't seem concerned if there's an issue. I asked for extra sauce for a small sundae today and was charged $2.00 for about 2 ounces of an additional flavor of sauce. Shortly after they opened I came with my three kids on a weekday, I asked for two kid combos (hotdog, chips, drink & kids cone) a medium coke and a large coke. They told me the kids combos didn't come with drinks but the menu said they did so finally they agreed after reading the menu. They wouldn't allow me to come back up within 10 minutes for the Icecream after they finished the hotdog, whatever it's fine even tho we were the only ones there. Had to ask for my receipt because I knew I wasn't rang up correctly or they just didn't do something right. Didn't get the chips or drinks had to ask for both and still didn't receive the chips. Had to go back up to get Ice cream for my self and my son & asked for a kids chocolate cone & a small orange and vanilla swirl, my small came out smaller than my kids cone for my son. The teenager taking the order of course is young and just didn't know what she was doing and the older man didn't seem to either know or care what he was doing. The cashier apologized a lot , which I'm thankful for but as a mom coming alone to a Icecream shop with 3 kids I just expected quicker service my littles were getting antsy while waiting for me to be done finally ordering. We love The Cone! We've been coming here for years with my family whenever we're in town. My favorite is the Hawaiian Sundae. It is an orange vanilla swirl topped with whip cream, with pineapple and toasted coconut around the bottom. It's SO good! My son loves the strawberry cheesecake blizzard or the hot fudge brownie sundae. The line can get really long but they move pretty quick.
