I bought the turtle sundae expecting soft serve ice cream covered in caramel and chocolate.....Technically, I guess I received it. What I got was a cup of block of frozen soft serve that had been is a freezer with all of the toppings stuck to the bottom of the cup! The taste was weird and the color was off too..... The cone is a great family neigh orthodox soft serve ice cream spot. No doubt. But the ice cream melts way too fast and quickly becomes a sugary syrup if you don't eat it soft quick enough. So instead of being a refreshing treat, it is a sugary liquid ooze. I ordered the fudge peanut parfait. Just way too much fudge where I could not finish half because if was literally nothing but a thick mass off chocolate looking blob. On a hot day I was ice cold ice cream and not a hot fudge goo. Went with my family one evening and we got our ice cream very quickly. I got an ice cream with brownie and cookie dough and the brownie bits were absolutely amazing. The manager attempted to justify the $12 charge despite my request for a refund based on a valid reason, ice cream melted all over us while walking to the car. we spent 30 dollars. It appeared that the manager's actions were influenced by their race, as they seemed to be attempting to use the situation against theirs. There was no solution provided not even a simple apologies. Shortly after they opened I came with my three kids on a weekday, I asked for two kid combos (hotdog, chips, drink & kids cone) a medium coke and a large coke. They told me the kids combos didn't come with drinks but the menu said they did so finally they agreed after reading the menu. They wouldn't allow me to come back up within 10 minutes for the Icecream after they finished the hotdog, whatever it's fine even tho we were the only ones there. Had to ask for my receipt because I knew I wasn't rang up correctly or they just didn't do something right. Didn't get the chips or drinks had to ask for both and still didn't receive the chips. Had to go back up to get Ice cream for my self and my son & asked for a kids chocolate cone & a small orange and vanilla swirl, my small came out smaller than my kids cone for my son. The teenager taking the order of course is young and just didn't know what she was doing and the older man didn't seem to either know or care what he was doing. The cashier apologized a lot , which I'm thankful for but as a mom coming alone to a Icecream shop with 3 kids I just expected quicker service my littles were getting antsy while waiting for me to be done finally ordering. We love The Cone! We've been coming here for years with my family whenever we're in town. My favorite is the Hawaiian Sundae. It is an orange vanilla swirl topped with whip cream, with pineapple and toasted coconut around the bottom. It's SO good! My son loves the strawberry cheesecake blizzard or the hot fudge brownie sundae. The line can get really long but they move pretty quick. Also, there's a drive through which can get pretty backed up too. When it's really busy parking can be hard to find but it's well worth the wait! read more
