If you are looking for a socially distanced treat with customers observing state heath orders, this is NOT the place. Tables aren't close to 6 feet apart with some chairs of different tables nearly touching. Not one single person walked up to order with a mask on nor appeared to even have a mask with them. Special of the week? The Rona Wipeout.

Small soft serve topped with soo many buckeyes.

After a fulfilling meal at nearby Bombay Brazier, we walked over to Walker Bros Ice Cream to cool off. The place is actually a walk-up with a simple yet nice patio. The soundtrack they were playing was filled with oldies, perfect for a summer night. I discovered my love for soft serve and Buckeyes at this place. I ordered a small soft serve with Buckeyes, and it was way more than plenty. I think I'll go with the kiddie size next time. They do not skimp at all on the toppings. Every bite had at least one buckeye. My boyfriend got a peanut butter shake, which was also good, but my pick definitely won out.

We stopped here for a strawberry malt after dinner at Delicio. This wasn't the first time we had attempted to get ice cream here - the last time it wasn't yet open for the season. Cute little place that is a nice complement to the surrounding area.

A nice addition to Montgomery This is a cool little place that just opened up by me in Montgomery. It's a little family run soft serve...For what it is, it was pretty good. They were passing out coupons at the Montgomery 4th of July parade, so we had to get my daughter one! I got her a vanilla and blueberry swirl...tasted damn near the old Smurf Ice Cream from King's Island back in the day. I thought that was pretty cool. Their building is fresh and neat, and the remodeled patio is really cool. I'd go back there with the kids for sure!

    Typical afternoon.

Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. There were a few families who stopped by with their elementary aged kids. It has a really nice patio with a trellis, would love to stop by again when it's darker out because there were lights strung up! The staff was friendly, the menu was simple which I found to be really great. 3 flavors of ice cream with dips and a flavor of the week. I got a small cherry dipped vanilla cone. It was really good and plenty big for a small! This would be an awesome place for a date night, especially if I was in the neighborhood. I don't think I would drive across town just to stop by, but I plan on making a stop every time I pass by!

Pretty yellow gives this place a cheery atmosphere.

The ice cream was okay. The location is a kind of obscure because of how hidden it is from the city of Montgomery. Staff is alright.

One of the…read morenewer ice cream trends is flash freezing ice cream with different candies and nuts and rolling it up. I was not necessarily on this train but I was intrigued. What's the texture like? Is the taste different? There were so many questions I needed answered. Yolo Rollo is located in one of the center stalls inside Kenwood Towne Center. I ditched Auntie Anne's (big mistake because Annie is the real MVP) in lieu of trying Yolo. The concept is simple enough. Pick your flavor, one mix-in, and one topping. The downfall is that it's $6. That seems to be excessive for what you get. I decided to go for it anyhow. I chose vanilla with Oreo mix in and a brownie on top. The time it takes to create the ice cream is longer than one would think. They take the cream flavor of choice and spread it out, waiting for it to freeze up. They then add your mix in and roll it together. At the end, they add your topping and sauce of choice. The final product looks like much more than it actually is. You get multiple "rolls" of ice cream with your mix in, and a healthy portion of your topping to garnish. The flavor of the actual ice cream is awful. It tastes like what happens when you accidentally leave the lid off your ice cream before putting it back in the freezer (aka freezer burn). The mix in flavor is non-existent and the sauce (I chose caramel) that they put on top is scant. The brownies that I chose tasted like the artificial crap you find in sketchy convenience stores off the highway. I wasn't expecting a gourmet dessert, but I at least wanted something that didn't make me feel like I had just bathed in chemicals. I finished approximately six bites of my ice cream concoction before I gave up. At first I gave Yolo 3 stars because I thought it was strictly a family owned operation and I like to give locally ran businesses the benefit of the doubt. I then found out that Yolos are locally owned franchises and my guilt faded immediately. The next time I'm at the mall and want a sweet treat I'll reach for a cinnamon sugar pretzel. #yolo

Rhino's Frozen Yogurt is hands-down one of the best frozen yogurt spots around, and yes... it's inside a gas station. Plot twist of the year. The frozen yogurt itself is fantastic--smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor. There are tons of options, from classic favorites to fun, unexpected flavors, and then there's the topping bar... which is borderline overwhelming in the best way possible. More than 100 toppings. Candy, cookies, fruit, sauces, crunchies--you name it. Decision fatigue is real, but worth it. What makes it even better is the sheer absurdity of the setting. One minute you're pumping gas or grabbing a drink, the next you're building a frozen yogurt masterpiece like you're in a boutique dessert shop. It's confusing. It's delightful. It's genius. If you've ever wanted top-tier frozen yogurt in the most unexpected location possible, this is your place. Come for the gas... stay for the yogurt... leave wondering why all gas stations haven't figured this out yet.

The peanut butter? More like peanut water. The chia seeds? Scattered like confetti at a party I wasn't invited to. The taste didn't help either. Parts of the bowl were still frozen solid, including chunks of açaí and fruit, making it feel more like I was eating a smoothie gone wrong. Because their flavors are so unique and always delicious, we always go for their trio of half scoops. In addition to Opaque, I also got Popcorn Brittle, and Lemon Bar. The lemon bar threw me because I was expecting tart lemon but it was more coconut flavored with sweet lemon, I definitely think the name is misleading. It was pretty good but could not compete with Opaque and Popcorn Brittle (which was my favorite of the three) The servers were friendly and hard working. There was a stead stream of patrons the whole time we were there and the employees kept the line moving. This mostly a scoop shop with not a lot of seating, three small tables with two chairs each and a bar with about 6 stools. They had plenty of outdoor seating as well.
