TLDR: extremely overpriced not even including hidden fees, unprofessional staff, unresolved maintenance, horrible unit upon move in Hunters chase continually disappointed us during our year of living there. The staff are poorly trained and not knowledgeable. The apartments are the epitome of landlord special with an additional touch of neglect. The problems started before move in. The staff said there was a "mix up" with our unit assignment, and made us drop everything to change all of our utilities and resign a different lease the same day of move in. When we moved in, in February, there was a paper on the counter that said they have a "white glove guarantee"- the apartment was so disgusting we had to deep clean before moving our stuff in, and in addition, the windows were stuck OPEN with a full 2 inch gap above the windowsill. Open windows in winter, which weren't fixed for 2 weeks, uninhabitable conditions. We were offered no discount on rent or lost utilities. When I called to talk to office staff, a sexist member of the office staff told me I should try harder to shut the windows--FYI the windows required entire replacements, which could not be resolved by trying harder to shut them. In addition to the price gauged rent, you can expect to pay up to $400 monthly in additional utilities, including a required internet and cable package. As if anyone needs to pay for cable these days, you are REQUIRED to pay for it. The monthly charges on top of rent also include various fees that are deceptively snuck in. The entire time we lived there we also had maintenance requests unanswered- staff were not receptive of these things and they were not resolved. The cherry on top was my move out process. They asked us on 10 separate occasions to renew our lease. They were weird about us having a roommate. The manager accused me of not turning in the keys, which she later found, after several accusatory calls and texts, and then asked for my forwarding address after I had provided it 3 separate times, just confirming that they hadn't been reading any of my messages documenting things. One last thing-- a member of the office staff, Katie, spread rumors about us both within the leasing office and to other residents. A neighbor told me that Katie had been discussing our personal lives to other residents, and when I called to discuss this, a man in the office confirmed this and told me she had been transferred anyways. I would not suggest this apartment complex to anyone. Unfortunately, the Aston North Scottsdale is a terribly run and horribly unsecured property, and the Connor Group has done nothing to improve this but lock people into binding leases through shady, manipulative tactics and neglect its residents. My biggest grievance is the DOMESTIC SHOOTING that occurred on property Halloween night including several individuals from MANAGEMENT and MAINTENANCE. The Connor Group handled the situation horribly thereafter. Instead of transparently informing residents of the incident and offering us an option to peacefully vacate our leases, after the safety and security of our home had been breached by those responsible with keeping it, but the Connor Group did not even inform residents of the full situation. A short email was sent out informing us of a "domestic incident" and extra security and police expected to be around. They then replaced the entire on-site staff, either shipping them off or removing them from their positions and the property. New management is "temporary" and "doesn't know anything." It is unfair to put residents through such a traumatic experience, and then leave them out to dry in this manner with no reasonable option out. The Connor Group does not even have an early termination clause in their leases, you are simply required to pay the remainder of the term. I am appalled by the Connor Group and the way it has treated its residents. On top of this, in less than a year at the Aston I have experienced: - Overly aggressive sales tactics, scaring residents into renewing due to "high demand in prices" that haven't changed in months - Delivery drivers leaving packages all over the property, rarely in lockers as they almost never have access to the proper areas to deliver. - Residents partying and having sexual relations in the pool area all night, disturbing other residents - A perpetual beeping in the parking garage that can be easily heard throughout the apartment complex, disturbing residents in their sleep - The health department had to shut down the pool due to improper maintenance and cleaning - Multiple broken doors on the property (that took months to be repaired) The Connor Group needs to do better, and at least offer residents a reasonable way out when they ask. read more

After living here for 2 years, I can safely say that it's a miserable place to live. From the horrible management to the shawty maintenance work that is done, this is far from luxury. Majority of the 5 star reviews you find on websites like google, BBB, yelp, etc. are all fake and the only real ones are the low rated reviews. After talking with residents I found out how many had flooded apartments countless times, flooding from the ceilings, etc, my downstairs neighbors apartment flooded once and the resident moved out. They moved a new resident in, same thing happened. It's a never ending cycle that the Connor group refuses to fix. My dish washer broke and it took maintenance a month to actually fix it so I sat with still, moldy water for a month, I literally had a beach towel over it to keep the odor from seeping out. Our shower tiles fell onto us while showering due to shawty plumbing. Oh, they only had 1 maybe 2 maintenance guys for 400+ buildings, what a joke! I used the pool once while there for 2 years because it's so small that you could never get in during summer hours due to how many people lived there and they would let random people drive in and use it because they refused to fix the locks on the gate. Please don't allow your children to play outside here as well due to the sex offenders and druggies that live in the motel next to McDonald's, extremely unsafe. To take the cake of my living experience here, I was waiting on my security deposit to be mailed to my new address just to find out that they ILLEGALLY reissued my check to my crazy father in law WITHOUT my permission. A check issued to my wife, was mailed to my father in laws place then he had them change the name on the check to his so he could cash it. VERY ILLEGAL. The Connor group has had an open lawsuit against them for some time, please do research before living here, I urge you! ***SEE THE BBB WEBSITE FOR THE REAL REVIEWS OF CONNOR GROUP*** Since CG took over Dock Street Flats in Minneapolis, MN​ the problems that have arisen due to thier negelect/unwillingness to put money back into the building are impossible to ignore. The building is filthy (see photos) there is major price gouging with regards to trash, recycling and "shared" internet (mandatory $100 fee). My rent increased over 20% when I (unfortunately) renewed my lease after CG took over. No cable TV in the common areas/no satellite radio anymore (CG cuts corners to save $ anywhere possible). When it's time to renew your lease they schedule a "walk though" which is nothing more than a way to strong arm you (in your own home) into renewing your lease at a considerable (10-20%) increase. Some residents have reported they were given "one hour" to decide and the rent was $100 over price advertised on the website. The elevators/entryway have not been mopped or wiped down for months. Trash rooms accumulate trash/recycling and at one point the trash in the garage was not emptied for weeks, residents had to put trash on the ground and now there is a huge stain there (see photo). There is 1 maintenance person & 1 cleaning person for this 150+ unit building, no clening person on the weekends (Larmar had 3 cleaning & 2 maintenace who rotated weekends). My trash/recycling fees increased over 100% (that's not a typo) six months after CG took over (this is typical of the CG to do and you will consistently see it mentioned in reviews). As far as moving out? You'll be charged anywhere from $1-3k for painting, replacing carpets and cabinets. You won't get your deposit back and will wind up owing potentially thousands for routine maintenance on apartments upon move out (they won't do a walk through with you present, they do it after you move out so you cannot correct any issues they find). They will send your account to collections if you question it or refuse to pay. They have accused me of "tracking down" emplyees on social media (I don'thave SM accounts). When I ask which SM site this occurred on they ignore my inquiries (they can't answer because it ***never happened***). They won't answer questions via email and will insist to meet in person. This way they cannot be held to task for what they say as there is no paper trail . Join "Tenants United Against Connor Group' on Facebook for the real stories/reviews ***Do your research*** I will not be renewing my lease when it is up in 2024 and regret renewing it this year. I have personally heard Abby verbally berate an Amazon driver who was simply asking for a signature for packages he delivered......don't expect packages to be signed for (sometimes they will, most times they won't), you'll need to be home to sign for them yourself. I learned this the hard way when documents I needed were refused to be signed for by one of "helpful staff". Once you sign the lease you are nothing but a cash cow for the company and they will get every last cent they can out of you. Staff talks in circles and will tell you they are "working" to correct problems, however nothing will change. I've seen text strings with Mike in which he is extremely belittling to the resident. I lived at Arbors of Anderson owned by the Connor group. I would have been willing to give them a higher rating. I was extremely understanding with how long it took to fix issues since there is a labor shortage. I had to take care of many issues on my own like the ants but the issue of keeping 350 dollars is a bridge to far. The charges are for the glass globe that went on the fan (that I reported broken for 10+ months) and that was never replaced. The fan and light didn't work either. I was charged 200 for this and as one of the ladies in the office stated, if there is a precedent (that I had reported the globe as having broken) that I would be refunded. I was not, not only that but Amy, who is in charge talked to me once (after calling for weeks) and stated she would call me back in 24-48hrs after investigating. I get Amy can be busy, but as a human and a disabled Marine combat veteran, I can't get the respect of a simple call back? When I call, I just get the same three people answering the phone and taking my messages. Was also charged 150 for the apartment not being clean to their standards. This made my friends and family angry who helped me clean for a few hours (we have pics, we were pretty proud of leaving it so nice) a Marine Corps motto is "leave it better than you received it." When I called the Connor Group and the customer representative stated there was nothing they could do, I had to call Arbors of Anderson. I reported that no one was helping or returning calls so I asked to speak with someone in higher management if I could. The customer service person said that most of the other higher ups are usually traveling and don't check messages. I was forwarded to a voicemail and left a message (which was never returned). I was a good tenant and always paid on time or early. There was one time (due to work cutbacks) I had the Veterans Affairs' call Arbors and let them know they might be helping me due to my financial issues and still I made the money and paid my dues. I'm involved with many veteran and first responder groups and organizations due to my background. I live at Outlook DTC apartments and have lived there for almost 4 years now. I haven't had many issues since living there, only minor problems. The management company before The Connor Group was Greystar and they were not great themselves but my god the Connor Group has outdone themselves with their level of ineptitude. Yesterday, after the very heavy rain that passed through Denver, there was a severe issue where the roof had damage and it allowed water to soak thru the roof and into my apartment through the ceiling. There was water flooding out of my light fixtures, out of the fire alarm and out of the fire sprinkler system. I was at home during this time and immediately called the office to alert them of the issue. They told me to go downstairs while someone tried to remediate the issue. I got rather angry when I was downstairs because the women that work at this apartment acted like my apartment would be safe and that I should be able to return after the maintenance was done to remove the water. Now, Sarah is nice and she is trying her best at this company but she has little leverage she can do because The Connnor Group is just a horrible organization. The other woman that works at the front desk just does not care about anyone she was rolling her eyes acting like I was being dramatic. The water was falling all over my electrical stove and out of the lights. This concerned me as this feels like a fire hazard! I also live right across from the electrical room, was that flooding too?? They refused to accommodate me with any other place to stay in the interim and I ended up booking a hotel across the street for 2 nights to figure out what to do. I was not going to stay in my apartment. Thankfully I DIDN'T because it rained all morning and was flooding again. Why would I want to live in those conditions? My renters insurance at least covers this additional hotel cost. I've been at the hotel now and this is my last night - the apartment still has significant water damage in the ceiling and walls. There are water stains all over the ceiling and since it rained all morning, pretty heavily, there was additional flooding while I was gone. They still maintained that I needed to remain living in the apartment and that I would still be having to pay full rent and that they would be able to fix the issue in full once the roof was properly dried out. This seems ridiculous to me as the unit is not in a habitable state right now AND I work from home so this work that will need to be done to repair my drywall will be a nightmare. I am informed that other tenants below me are suffering from the same issues and I assume they are being told they need to live there as well. I don't see rain in the forecast anytime soon but if another storm comes thru before they fix the roof issue, my apartment will surely be flooded again. This is a review of the "L2 Uptown" property owned by the Connor Group. The new Management company "Connor Group" came in about a month ago and since has turned what was a properly managed luxury apartment complex into an trash filled, pest /rodent infested, grotesque property. The pool has a film to it, which is not evaluated and cleaned on a daily basis. Trash lines the garage, trash rooms on each floor, and the grounds. An unprofessional staff of Maintenance people and office representatives that are poorly under trained to manage a property. A poorly maintained dog park, doesn't get washed, waste bags not filled, leading to bad smells, and inability to use an amenity. Common areas not maintained or cleaned. The Conner group owns Wellington place apartments in Mason Ohio and if I were you I would go read my review I left for them on yelp along with the pictures and all of the pictures of the mold. But this video happened at 4:42am today. My husband and I woke up to check on our baby only to see my husbands car was actively being broken into with a transmitter. We called the police and more neighbors came out saying their cars were also broken into. The cops said the list of crimes in our apartment complex is "longer than a CVS receipt". Even the cops laughed at the fact they are advising this complex as a gated community. they said "we have the highest crime rate here and the gates have been broken for years" so think long and hard before moving into Wellington place apartments or anything owned by the Connor group. read more

I have lived in the Boulevard in Largo that was not owned by the Connor group. after 7 months Connor group bought the Boulevard. That was the worst time of my life. I paid high rent and the place went down hill. the pool was not being taking care of, bathrooms where not being cleaned and they locked them at night and weekends. All the nice flowers died. car wash and dog wash area where broken. They started to charge for parking, cable, garbage was raised and more. Office workers talk so nasty to people. I did move out. took me 4 months to get my deposit back. I was lucky I got it back. I do not know one person who is happy with them. Don't sign a contract unless you have a lawyer. read more

Horrible company that will find ways to rip you off. Read the reviews. Read the BBB complaint and read the responses from The Connor Group and you will see a clear pattern. A pattern of "we are right" and you the tenet are ALWAYS WRONG. They will spend thousands of dollars in staff time and lawyers letters, just to keep your $200 deposit. They will go out of their way to post unbelievably fake positive reviews on Google to drowned out the real truthful reviews. When an issue happens they'll try to calm you down and tell you they'll take care of it, but keep in mind they never put it in writing. And then by the time is it ready for them to take care of you they will act as if they never spoke to you about it and they will flip it around so that you will be victimized more and more and more. And then while you are down and out, they will kick you in the head and charge you for a new floor from the blood that you spill. Why?? Because they promised the employees a sense of ownership in a company in which is ran by Larry Connor who spends millions of dollars on a trip to the bottom of the ocean and to the skies above us as a want to be child astronaut. Been living here for 6 years with reasonable rent increases and decent quality of life. Suddenly new owners (The Connor Group) take over, without warning. First, they increase trash cost by 300%. Are they going to do something different? NO. Still just a single dumpster on opposite side of complex I am required to drive to. Somehow its existence will now cost me $50/month instead of $17. Then, without notice, they decide to start construction, clearly sourced in the cheapest way possible. A dozen teenagers are on our roof for weeks now during work hours (I work from home). The craftsmanship is ridiculous, the old roof looked significantly better. They are leaving nails, roofing tiles, and literal trash everywhere. I go to complain and they assure me they will address the issue. Literally nothing has changed, there are nails everywhere in the parking lot. Now we get notice of a rent increase of over 25%! Literally nobody gets a pay raise of 25% in a year, so they are literally forcing out tenants that have been there for years. When asked if they are going to do anything to our unit to justify this TWENTYFIVE PERCENT INCREASE, they say no. Our carpet is 7 years old (at least). Our refrigerator is basically fisher price, enough to store ~2 days worth of meals. There is no ventilation for the stove. The electric bill is ~$400/month because there is ZERO insulation and the heating/airconditioning units are older than me. Not going to be replacing those either. Just a greedy bunch of pricks taking advantage of people and giving nothing in return. We are raising our son in this neighborhood because of the school district. This soulless group of assholes are forcing us to move and ruin my son's childhood/life. Again that's the CONNOR GROUP. read more

I live in the Saxon Woods luxury apartments in McKinney TX. I have lived here since January of 2019. I personally have had many maintenance issues since I have lived here that have been generally ignored. Water leaking from the refrigerator, Water leak from the upstairs apartment that caused the light fixture in my garage to fall down was never repaired, Fire dept. access door outside of my apartment has been stuck open since I moved in, non functioning light fixtures. Many maintenance requests little to no response. There are two pools in the community, one has only been open for one month out of the twelve months I have been here. The security lighting (not working since I got here) has finally been replaced after a group of residents started a facebook page about Saxon Woods and began to organize a protest in front of the property. The entry / exit gates are often broken and the gate on the north side of the property has been stuck in the closed position for at least the past month. Do not rent from these people. read more

I've been a resident of the Arbors of Anderson for several years now. Up until recently, I had no complaints; the property was well maintained, the leasing office folks were courteous and helpful, and yearly rent increases were nominal. But that all changed when The Connor Group took over a month or two ago. Since then, the complex has been transformed. And by transformed, I don't mean in a good, aesthetically pleasing way. On the contrary. One of the key attractions this property has always been known for was its many healthy, mature trees, particularly when the colors pop in the fall. No more, though. Many have been cut down and mercilessly thrown into a chipper. To add insult to injury, they're beginning to paint the exterior of each building a hideous mishmash of nausea-inducing colors, the types of chaotic colors that might result in seizures if stared at too long. It gets better. It's now difficult to tell the difference between the dumpster and the mailroom. Seems some residents are fond of mail order prepared meals. That's all well and fine. What's not cool is how many of these boxes have been abandoned, allowing the food to rot. The stench in the mailroom is nothing short of unholy. It's akin to roadkill. Clearly, the new leasing office representatives aren't even remotely concerned. The funk persists. The turkey vultures are circling. In summary, I strongly recommend running as far away from this property as you can (as well as any owned and/or operated by The Connor Group). That's, of course, assuming you've considered my feedback and you're not ok with massive rent increases, an overflowing dumpster, a nasty mailroom, scotch tape and chewing gum-type repairs, unexplained fees, and unkept promises from the leasing office. Hopefully, at least one prospective renter reads this before they're ensnared in a 12 month lease. I posted a similar review on another review site only to have it unceremoniously removed 10 minutes later without explanation. And I think I know why. As my pappy always said: "Basil, the best way to shut someone up is to stuff a fistful of legal tender in their pie hole." Sound extreme? Don't just take my word for it. Do your research. Swing by sometime so you, too, can see with your very own eyes what happens when a scorched earth approach is implemented. And do read other reviews. But don't let the 5 star offerings fool you. Do not live or work for the Conner Group. The Conner Group nickles and dimes residents with multiple fees: trash fee, parking fee, a fee to pay for fees, a fee to pay online, more fees. To quote someone from the acquisition team "fees are our secret to generating returns." absolutely pathetic for a "sophisticated firm" to not be able to properly underwrite a deal with realistic growth assumptions. When I reached out to someone in their corporate office who performs underwriting "we need fees to make returns this is just a quick flip for us" Now as a resident these guys suck at managing apartments. My apartment had a ton of maintenance issues, it was not a "luxury" apartment more like class B with some crappy paint added. Residence were moving out in droves the second the CONer group purchased the property. They tried to force us into cable packages also who the hell has cable anymore except the pathetic Boomers at the CONner Group. God so glad I moved out living in a box would be better than any property the CONner group manages. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THE CONNER GROUP AT SAXON WOODS IN MCKINNEY!!! I moved into Saxon Woods almost 3 years ago, at the time managed by Cortland. It was a great community - clean, safe, prompt to address service requests; however, in mid to late December of 2019 we received messages that The Conner Group would be taking over the management of the community. Since that time there has been nothing but headache. They immediately started "upgrading" the community by painting. The painters put a cover on my brand new car to protect it from paint, but the cover had a huge whole in it, which I had to go out & duct tape. The painters also moved the items on my patio to paint & did not return them to the original location. The first month The Conner Group was in place I attempted to pay rent online, as I have been since day one & found that a fee would be assessed if paid online. Reluctantly I went ahead & paid only to find that I was charged two months rent because the website did not confirm the payment was received. Most recently - mid March - just before we were sheltered in place due to the Covid-19, I submitted two maintenance requests: 1) for the refrigerator, as it was not cooling or making ice properly & 2) for what looked like black mold in the bathroom, as well as the plank floor in the bathroom by the washer & dryer warping & soapy water coming up through the planks. These requests could not be submitted by phone as had been allowed through Courtland. I called in the request & was told it would be addressed the next day. Next day comes & no response. So I called the following day & there was no record of my requests. I submitted the requests again - meanwhile we had just been told our kids would not be returning to school & my husband would be working from home. I called the office & requested the frig be addressed immediately due to the world circumstances. A repair man came out & spent over 2 hours working on the frig stating it was a timer problem & replaced the timer. The frig started getting cooler & seemed to be working. About a week & a half later we started experiencing the same problems with the frig not cooling properly. On Easter Sunday we woke up to a completely dead frig. We were very reluctant to having anyone come into the apartment with the Covid-19 going on, so I requested a new unit. I was told by the property manager, Tracy, that was not possible & someone would have to come into the apartment to look at the frig. This was very upsetting; however, we allowed it as long as the maintenance person was completely covered in protective gear. He came out & spent over 3 hours. He replaced the timer again. We had to throw away 3 trash bags of food, hundreds of dollars. After 24 hours of the "repair" the frig was still not cooling. I reported it to the office & they refused to bring another unit. Seven days after the "repair" the frig was dying again. I left a message for the office & never received a response. I called Tracy on April 20th again requesting another unit which she refused. AT this point I kind of lost my mind. Demanding a new unit, which she refused. I then found her supervisor, Steve, whom I attempted to contact. This man apparently has no office, only a voicemail. Over a week I left at least 10 voicemails for him, with no responses. I was told there was no one above him. On April 25th the frig was completely dead. I called the after hours repair number to report in one last attempt to get a new unit - as I was going to buy a frig. I came into contact with the most wonderful maintenance man, Kevin, whom was able to get us a new unit by noon on Saturday. I have retained an attorney, as I am refusing to pay any rent until I am compensated for the loss of hundreds of dollars of food that was wasted. I started reading reviews after this & there are many of the same type of experiences. This complex has definitely gone downhill since the change in management. I will be leaving ASAP!! Again DO NOT RENT here!!! June 5th - UPDATE ON THE DRAMA AT SAXON WOODS.....Please note of you live at Saxon Woods in McKinney....the manager told me this morning they didn't have to make requested repairs!! As some of you know I submitted work requests on March 15th & they have not been completed - see pics on my previous posts. As a result of non-repairs I have not paid rent for April, May & June. She gave me an eviction notice this morning & asked if I was going to pay rent to which I responded "are you going to repair the apartment?" Her response was she didn't have too. I would not open the door for her because she refused to wear a mask. Then while talking to her through the door she put in the master key & attempted to enter the apartment!!! PEACHTREE APARTMENTS NEXT TO SCAD ATLANTA....OWNED BY CONNOR GROUP.... LATE FEES AND AN EVICTION NOTICE TWO WEEKS AFTER RENT WAS DUE....ON AN APARTMENT THAT WE TOLD PEACHTREE WOULD BE EMPTY FOR THE SUMMER.....BUT WE WERE STILL PAYING FULL RENT ON..... We moved our daughter into the Peachtree Apartments a year ago, so she could attend SCAD. A few months later, we were asked to renew the lease for another year. Although we felt this was too early to renew, we did renew, so our daughter wouldn't have to return to SCAD the following Fall, and scramble for another place to live. We set up an auto payment, so that our daughter's rent wouldn't never be late. We set this payment plan up on the advice of the Peachtree Staff. Our payments were on time, paid in full, every month for a year. We paid additional fees for her pet, and another additional fee for a required parking spot, even though our daughter doesn't have a car. From April to May, we tried, on our own, to sublease our daughter's apartment for the Summer months, but couldn't find anyone who wanted to pay the rent. We informed the Peachtree Staff that we were trying to sublease the apartment, and asked for guidance. THE STAFF KNEW THEN that our daughter would be gone for the Summer months. I informed the Peachtree Staff that our daughter would be gone for the Summer, AGAIN, when I was moving her out in June. I asked what I needed to do, to make sure we had taken care of everything appropriately. The young man on Staff, didn't take note of, or inform anyone else in the office, of our daughter's departure, or of any of my questions. Conveniently, that young man doesn't work on the Peachtree Staff anymore.... The Peachtree Staff says they called our daughter countless times, left daily texts, and sent emails to inform her of the late fees. THIS A FLAT OUT LIE! I have our daughter's phone and email records..... NO CALLS. ONE EMAIL ON THE 10TH OF THE MONTH. ONE. NO VOICEMAILS. The Staff said they called the Georgia Power Company, and SCAD, to make sure our daughter was alright. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS IF YOU HAD BEEN INFORMED THAT SHE WOULD NOT BE THERE... TWICE? To cover yourself, so you could charge us fees? YES! We asked the Peachtree Staff member and Owner, why they didn't contact my husband about the late fees and eviction notices, if they couldn't reach our daughter....HE'S A COSIGNER ON THE LEASE AND EMAILED PEACHTREE THE RENEWAL CONTRACT. Peachtrees response....."we didn't have your husband's contact information..." ANOTHER LIE! MY HUSBAND EMAILED THE LEASE RENEWAL TO PEACHTREE IN JANUARY! Eviction notices were supposedly placed on the front door of our daughter's apartment. A door to an apartment where we told the Peachtree Staff no one would be living for the Summer....TWICE! Even the maintenance man knew we were leaving, because once again, he had to fix the air conditioner that wouldn't cool down when I was there in June. Now the part OWNER of the Peachtree Apartments says there is nothing they can do for us. We were forced to pay $250 in late fees, and $250 in eviction fees. ALL BECAUSE WE DIDN'T CHANGE THE PAYMENT DATE ON THE PORTAL. WE PAID ON TIME FOR A YEAR. PAID FULL RENT FOR AN EMPTY APARTMENT. NO COMPLAINTS OR ISSUES AGAINST US AS RENTERS. WENT OUT OF OUR WAY TO THANK OFFICE STAFF AND MAINTENANCE STAFF, AND BE IN GOOD COMMUNICATION. Our family must accept this $500 mistake, with two College tuitions and a Wedding coming up, and ANOTHER MONTH'S RENT for an empty apartment. And our daughter is stuck at the Peachtree Apartments for another year. An owner, can ALWAYS DO SOMETHING FOR THE CUSTOMER. THIS STAFF DID NOTHING. THIS OWNER DID NOTHING. Absolutely terrible company - if you're on facebook, look up Tenants United Against The Connor Group. There's a reason there are 1.2k members. I'll never rent from The Connor Group again. As far as my personal experience went in City Walk at Woodbury: this place is an absolute scam. I went to sign a lease for $1,299/month, but was told last second that someone is currently signing for the apartment I toured but they have an identical one available on a different floor. Unfortunately I went with it. Then it was "oh, and it's another $95 for parking... Plus we've selected a wifi package for you, another $99. And then RBS fees but those are small" RBS fees were anywhere from about $150-240/month PLUS that $99 from wifi. Our $1,299/month quickly turned into nearly $1,700/month after I had signed the first document. When they wanted to renew our lease, they offered us a "great new rate!" at $1,449/month, pet rent put back on the lease (see that mess of a situation below), another security deposit of $1,299(?), and an administrative fee of $349. No mention of the RBS fees but I've heard they go up somehow too. Our cat was on the pet addendum from day one - the people who gave me the tour literally asked to see pictures and had a whole discussion about him. They absolutely knew we had a cat. My wife had an ESA letter that she sent to them a month before moving in and didn't get a response. She had to call, resend her ESA and fight to get pet rent taken off of our lease, because that's the law with an ESA letter. They miraculously "lost" her letter on four or five occasions and tried to charge us pet rent each time, once even saying that we have an "unauthorized cat" in our apartment (again... He's been on the lease since day one). On top of that, the first time they tried to charge us pet rent the guy pulled out our file and found a physical copy of the ESA letter right on top. It certainly was not lost. They've got the maps to the wrong building in the entrance to 10300. Our apartment was filthy when we moved in, and in significantly different condition than the one I toured. Garbage in the parking ramp often reeks and some of the hallways/stairwells are rarely, if ever, cleaned - pictures with time stamps as proof. I've seen dog poop in the hallways on four separate occasions, two of which were promptly cleaned up by the dogs owner, one of which sat there for hours, one of which sat there for a day or two. Lastly, there's a cigarette butt on the fire thing next to elevator C in building 10300 on the first floor. I noticed it at move in and it was kind of a game to see how long it'd last there, but quickly became depressing when I learned more about The Connor Group and how poorly they care for the buildings. The cigarette butt was still there when we moved out. A whole year. Live here if you want; personally, wouldn't do it again even if rent was half the cost. read more

Appears they are all run the same, which is both sad and affirming of what our experience was in Nashville (at Elliston 23 or E23) Clearly he Managing Partner, Larry Connor, is living in fantasy land. The Corporate website showcases a list of "core values" that are expected of all personnel. These are so funny, as the reality appears to make these a checklist of things you can expect NOT TO SEE at a Conner Group apartment. Connor Group written CORE VALUES: {employees are expected to....} DO THE RIGHT THING- Doing the right thing means every person at every level of the organization is expected to act with integrity. PEOPLE COUNT- If The Connor Group had a slogan, this would be it. People lead growth; not the other way around LIVE THE CIRCLE OF SUCCESS- At its core, the Circle of Success is a study in individual accountability, often within a team setting. It's the engine that drives the company and is the common denominator which links every Connor Group Associate in every job position, in every location, every day. RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE- Every endeavor is a cyclical process of assessment, adjustment and innovation. At the end of each endeavor the most common question you'll hear is, how do we make it better? Guess what, Mr. Connor, your company personnel at E23 in Nashville do NOT adhere to any of these values! They do NOT follow basic state laws, or frankly the contract for which they demand every person sign. They rent out open apartments as Air BNB's, creating unnecessary noise and other disruption to the long-term tenants. This makes life for those living there much less enjoyable. Outside of the noise and parking issues created by Air BNB guests, they tear-up and destroy amenities long-term residents rely upon. And forget getting a deposit back without a fight! Not only do they try to charge for things like cleaning, which is illegal in Tennessee, they refuse to follow their own contract. They will NOT perform a walk-through on move-out, and when requested they won't let tenants know when walk-through is happening....even when tenets request to be present. They do NOT provide a checklist of "identifiable damage" according to Tennessee law, or according to their own contract: They provide ONLY upon demand to do so. This violation of Tennessee law, as well as their own contract is only one in a long list of violations by the company toward tenants. Lots of CLEAR PROOF those "core values" are a joke! read more

FYI, this company hides behind a "third party billing company" to extort fees from tenants. Perhaps you've rented and paid some utilities along with rent to your landlord after receiving a statement printed and mailed to you by a company that the property manager pays a nominal fee to for the service of calculating and mailing bills. This is not the same thing. First Billing Services, which mails bills for trash, water, cable and the usual items, IS Connor Group. They are the same company. First Billing and Connor are one. Ellos son lo mismo. CONNOR charges $100 "setup" fee and a $25 "termination" fee, which apparently are services that are not covered by the $8 "admin" fee each month. Thats right, it costs half a day's wages for a special ed teacher with a master's degree to put a person's name in the computer. Unless they wanna pee on my leg and tell me it's raining next, I triple dog dare them to do my job for half a day and tell me that that is the equivalent of setting up an account. Maybe you carefully read the utility addendum when you arrived to sign your lease. But unless you want to probably lose your security deposit by backing out at the surprise fees, you will suck it up and sign an agreement to be nickel and dimed ($40/month for regular dumpster-in-a-parking-lot collection? I could write a novel about this group, but my biggest concern is how a complex can come to me 5 months in advance of my lease ending and tell me I have to pay $600 more to stay here and another $99 for a spectrum package that I don't want. I want to start off by saying the reason I'm reviewing TCG's corp office & not the apt bldg I live in, is because thankfully TCG sold it to another mgmt comp several months ago. This rev is solely focused on just the time TCG was owner. TCG's M.O. is to buy perfectly fine & livable apt bldgs & then just completely run them into the grnd, while raping the tenants monetarily in literally every conceivable way possible over the course of the next 4-6 years. Once TCG has exploited and fleeced the tenants dry & woefully neglected the property, they turn around & sell it to some other unsuspecting mgmt comp that has no clue the property has had no meaningful upkeep performed since TCG took over. I suppose going to space is quite an expensive undertaking, but I digress. Now the fact that TCG sold my bldg is extremely fortunate for myself & every other tenant here, it also means any negative review I might give the property now would only reflect on the new mgmt comp & not on TCG, whom the review rightfully belongs to. I honestly don't even know where to begin with these criminals. But should my honesty be questioned here, I would ask that you bear in mind there's an actual Facebook group, with over 1.2k members, called "Tenants United Against The Connor Group." To my knowledge, no other major prop mgmt grp has that dubious honor of being such terrible, lying slumlords, they warrant a group formed by their unfortunate tenants, in order to better organize themselves against these fraudsters. Notice all the pretty pictures I have uploaded of the "luxury" apartment building TCG wildly overcharged me for? You may notice a theme. TCG has a real problem with trash removal. I thought it was just my building, but then I joined the aforementioned Facebook group & found out living amongst trash is just a "luxury" perk they offer at all of their "luxury" apt bldgs. Apparently one of the first things they do once acquiring a property is to immediately cut back on trash removal services to save money. Nothing screams "living in luxury," like hallways reeking of fetid, rotting garbage literally piled 4 stories high in every garbage shoot in the building for weeks at a time, in the middle of summer. Another "luxury" offered is the screeching sound of the buildings malfunctioning fire alarm randomly going off multiple times a week, at all hours of the day and night, for hours at a time. Do you enjoy swimming in green, foul smelling swamps that once were clean pools on a hot summer day? You're in luck! TCG wrote the book on "luxury" swamp-living! Speaking of hot days, don't expect to come back to a cool apt after a hot day of swamp swimming, because that underpowered AC compressor last serviced on (insert the date of last service performed by the previous mgmt comp) will most definitely not be up to the challenge. But fear not, chances are the incompetent, lying criminals TCG has employed to oversee the "profit center" (yeah, that's what TCG calls your bldg) you live in will have most likely filed paperwork to evict you, instead of the neighbor, in error. So you may not be there long enough to complain anyway. As you're moving out, take heart in knowing TCG got the last laugh as you haul your crap down 4 flights of stairs because TCG never could be bothered to fix the one & only elevator in the bldg. The only thing keeping you going is the knowledge that you're almost free of TCG "luxury" living. Don't get too comfy though, because TCG's "customer-focused" philosophy means not having to still live in a TCG prop to get to experience the"luxurious living" they are famous for. This final luxury comes in the form of a bill weeks later for unspecified "damages" that just so happens to add up exactly to your deposit amount. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the "luxurious" & mandatory walk-thru's required of all tenants 6 mos prior to lease renewal, which is just an excuse to weasel their way into ur apt so they can extort & strong-arm u into signing a 35% higher renewal. The lease says you can pay by check, the management will tell you that you cannot until you invoke the lease. The Utility addendum states that a third party will handle the utility fees and whatnot. This doesn't stop utility companies from attempting to bill you. I could go on, but these two things tell you a lot. read more

All they've done is charge more, do less, chop down the beautiful trees that were beautiful, and turn the place into a 24 hour construction site. The Connor Group was horrible to begin with, but when moving out of my apartment, I confirmed several times that if the holes in the wall are smaller than a nickel, I won't be charged. So, I took a picture of every hole and I'm holding up a nickel next to it or on top of it as proof. They obviously charged me for every hole. I've tried following up with them many times with photo proof. They will not respond to my emails or answer my calls to resolve this issue. Really horrible. read more

This is the worst apartment management company that I've ever had. Since The Connor Group bought the Bayside Arbors Apartments in Clearwater, FL, this complex has really gone down hill. Advertised as Luxury Apartment Homes and being charged Luxury Apartment money, this place is us anything but luxury. Maintenance is behind and nothing is getting fixed. Problems reported to on-site management are not being resolved and are approached with rudeness and indifference. We have residents who have reported holes in their ceilings, broken air conditioning, rodents, and water damage with no repairs being done and a serious lack of trash removal. That's just to name a few. If you're looking to rent an apartment managed by the Connor Group, please seriously reconsider. It will save you time, money, and STRESS if you go elsewhere. read more

I lived at 1660 Peachtree in Atlanta and this review sums up my experience spanning two lease terms. Pros: * Abundant parking. * Easy access to MARTA. * Decent amenities. * Located in Midtown; I ended up moving to Buckhead, but as much as I love and miss Midtown, 1660 didn't make it worthwhile at all. On that note, proceed to the cons. Cons: * They pay Google to hide negative reviews. * Most of the positive reviews you'll see are posted on move-in day because the leasing staff gets incentives for positive reviews; also, there has been some bribing of residents. * High concentration of SCAD students, which results in constant partying, persistent weed stench, trash left in the hallways, frequent fire alarm pranks, and a general lack of consideration for other residents. * Very old buildings with visible signs of age including loose floorboards, water damaged walls and ceilings, and mold/mildew in the bathtubs. * Laughable security; the gates break frequently, sometimes due to mechanical errors, other times due to idiots who drive into them; also, I don't know how many times they changed the resident gate codes, but it was so annoying when someone would show up to visit and dial the gate code I had given them only to learn it had been changed. Also, if you like to shop online, I strongly suggest having your packages delivered to your job instead of home because package theft is a thing here. * Shoddy maintenance. * Although it's in Midtown, the physical location is awful; it's on Peachtree Street between Deering Road and the Buford Hwy access road opposite a turning lane for Buford Hwy and a wide gore; this means you can only legally turn right out of the complex, but people break this law all the time by attempting left turns, which is great when you're stuck behind them wanting to turn right because the driveway is extremely narrow. * Frequent power outages, which I believe are an issue with GDOT because the outages affect the entire street. * Careless, non-communicative management which happens to have high turnover; upon moving out, there were only two leasing staff members who were there when I moved in. * Horrible umbrella company known as Connor Group that has a silly payment portal called Resident Billing that charges fees for auto-pay; it should also be noted that they charge $45 for a nonexistent valet trash service, just to give you an idea of where your money goes besides the aforementioned review suppression. * Crummy lease terms, i.e. no lease breaking under any circumstances whatsoever. Moral of the story: despite being located in Midtown, which is a lovely amenity in and of itself, 1660 is a sorry excuse for a "luxury" apartment community. If you are okay with the burdens that come with living among obnoxious college students, incompetent management, nonexistent maintenance, fire alarms in the middle of the night when you have work the next morning, and a lack of security, then this is the place for you. read more

UPDATE 6/4: Spectrum & RBS issues have not been fixed. Was told Lisa is waiting to hear back from Spectrum rep. Credits offered to offset additional charges. UPDATE 5/9: Our Spectrum bill doubled after we were told it would be free. No help from anyone on either side. We've sent over previous bills to rectify it however, nothing has been done. UPDATE 4/21: If I could give less than 1 star I would. My RBS bill has gone up another $50 this month. We were also told last week that we would be getting free internet through Spectrum. This week, we are told we have to pay $99/mo for it. Haley called me begging for a positive review. There's too many issues for this property to have more than 1 star. UPDATE 3/9: Got a late fee because of a system glitch on both RBS and the front office's systems. Then was told we owe more money because the "move in credits" didn't cover it. We were moving due to a barking dog and was told we wouldn't be charged for anything. Though the got us into a new unit, they are still charging us with hidden fees. UPDATE 1/27: Jen showed us new units that are available to get away from the dog who howls all day long, non-stop. 1. Pet poop. No one picks up after their pet so the property literally smells. Most of the dogs are leashed up, but there are a few problem dogs in every building. Had an issue with 1 tenet specifically, leasing office told us there were going to be evicted, after the holidays we see them moving into a different unit. There's not even a dog trail on property. You have to forge your own. 2. Trash. This property is on a NATURE PRESERVE, yet is littered with trash. No one cares. And I'm not just talking beer cans, there's metal slabs, pieces of plywood from unfinished walls, laundry baskets....if you can think of it, you can probably find it somewhere on property. So disgusting to see this type of behavior in Austin, let alone on a nature preserve. 3. Neighbors. A) My car got hit multiple times by the SAME PERSON and the leasing office refused to take any action. It was my next door neighbor. B) Packages continue to get stolen. Even if I call the front to let them know a neighbor is out of town, they won't come get the package so they get stolen. Was told there was security cameras and features coming - that was 6 months ago, no changes. C) Non stop dog barking. From 6:30 am until about 6:30 pm. Every. Damn. Day. No action is ever taken. 4. Luxury? Does any of the above sound like a luxury complex? We get charged $50 a month for valet trash, 3 bags per day, Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Friday. Half the time my trash doesn't get picked up. Front office makes up some excuse about how something came up so they didn't have time to get my trash. Was told 6 months ago that we would get security cameras. Still no cameras. Website lists dog trails on property....there's 1. It's a giant loop to city park and back. Also there's PILES of trash all along the trail. Sounds amazing right?! The 2 dog parks are covered in poop, the gates are broken. There is a BROKEN fire hydrant by building 2. The city can't help as it is on Private Property. Front office was made aware in November when it first happened. 5. Management Company. There is no property manager, the title is Profit Center Manager. Shows how much they actually care. Manager is nice to your face maybe, 25% of the time. If she doesn't like what you're saying, she'll walk away from you. Doesn't matter if you're still talking. Agents don't understand how things work. Tried to tell me that the agitator in my washer was not needed. The maintenance guys are friendly however, the system is completely broken. They still use Carbon Copy paper for all requests and there is no organization. Closet shelves were hanging on by a nail for 3 months before someone finally came by to fix it. Had a broken ac unit for 3 weeks before they came to fix it and found there was a leak. When there is a new hire, we are told not to talk to them as "they will just be transferred anyway so what's the use?"...their words, not my own. read more

Chesapeake Landing is a competitively priced Luxury Apartment complex, managed by the Connor Group, in Centerville, Ohio. The location is centerally located in the heart of the Dayton Mall's shopping and dining. It offers easy access to I-75 and I-675. The office staff is always very accommodating and helpful. I lived in Chesapeake Landing for two years. When I signed my second lease, I was given a FREE covered parking spot! But the most exciting feature about Chesapeake Landing, is that they offer your favorite cartoon characters standing by the entrance welcoming you home everyday! It's like your own personal Disney World... with Canadian Geese instead of children! Go check out this Magical Wonderland! read more

When it comes to apartments around Dayton, The Connor Group is the way to go. They have improved our clubhouse, fitness center, and are always responsive to any maintenance concerns we have. Their staff is friendly, and always willing to help. The apartments are pet-friendly - and we even have a dog park to take our furry family member out to run around when the weather is nice. Renting in the past I've run into companies that don't care and put the bottom line before the customer - but that's not the case at The Connor Group. They make us feel like they value us as residents and that people matter. As for others who complain about the billing issues - I've had nothing but a good experience. Our utilities are all bundled into one bill that we can easily pay online or through an app, making it fast and convenient. What more could you ask for? read more

I applied to be a resident with Saxon woods, during the application process I was given a BLANK LEASE to sign and was told it's their process for reserving a spot at the rate that I was receiving. I decided to lease with another complex due to lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and horrible online reviews. Management notified me that my application was magically approved (after they requested further documentation from me and I did not turn it in), I told them that I was no longer interested and am going to another complex. The employee said nothing to me. 1-2 days later I received a HOSTILE phone call from an employee stating that no matter what I still have to fulfill lease requirements from a BLANK lease that I signed that was FRAUDULENTLY filled in after my signature. I refuse to move in to this apartment and I suggest anyone who is looking to look elsewhere. I will be taking this to the BBB, and any other place I can to make a complaint until this issue is resolved. The lease that they are attempting to FORCE me into complying with is not a full lease and I have not received keys for this apartment, nor have I paid a security deposit or ANY rent on this apartment.
