I called the store and the employee who answered was pretty nice about the situation, and told me they were just about to call the cops so to come in tomorrow and return the books. They have an excellent selection of local writers and locally-based work in addition to general fiction, nonfiction, LGTBQIA+, and more. There is also the Epilogue Bar if you want to enjoy a drink while reading the book you purchased. I picked up a few books centered around NOLA that were intriguing to me. The two staff behind the front counter were chatty and friendly as we made our purchases. It's a great location to check out at The Rink building in the Garden District.
