They always put me in a good mood when I went in to pay my bills. -Fast maintenance. Literally would put in a request and it would be fulfilled within the next two days. I've never had such fast maintenance in a complex. -Very safe. I have never felt unsafe coming home late at night, or have had any strange encounters with other residents. My car has had no damage done to it, I always felt okay leaving it parked. -No surprises. There were no hidden fees or anything of that sort. Neighbors were respectful. -Overall a great experience! The bad: -Parking can be challenging. We ended up having to pay $25 more for another spot a month because the visitor parking is not always guaranteed. -Small Apartments. Pretty cozy in these apartments! But you get what you pay for. -Meh appliances. Kind of cheap W/D, shelf in kitchen broke, handle on bathroom mirror fell off. Maintenance was always very responsive in these situations though, so I can't really say it was too bad. And again... you get what you pay for, and we had a cheaper unit. -Children can be loud. Overall they are sweet and respectful kids, just be aware if this is something that bothers you.

The situation on my floor and in my apartment has not gotten any better! My apartment reeks of gas…read moreand chemical like smells. I seriously believe from the knocking sounds coming through the walls in my apartment combined with a light machine like noise the foul smell mixed with chemicals I believe the neighbors are making meth. I've had two other women in the apartment notice the wif of smells on the 2nd and 4th floor, saying the stinch was one of the most awful smells they have encountered. I put in a maintenance order and the worker stated he smelled something. It's almost 3 am in the morning and I just had security come to my apartment and he stated he had also shared with boss of gas like smells near the hotel lobby that I live above. He also stated that they know they are doing drugs in the stairwells but they haven't been able to catch them. I believe they are doing it right in the apartments. The exit doors continue to open and close with young adults coming and going, while sometime screaming and running down the hallways. The gas chemical smells is in my chest and I have to sleep with a mask on or go sleep at my sisters when it becomes unbearable. I have bought sprays, candles, Clorox wipes, and other products to block the smell then I wake up with a migraine. I've requested numerous times to move to another apartment and they won't allow me. And they said it's $5000 to break the lease. I'm going to contact the health department and another organization. I've lived here over 5 years and to have to pay money to inhale foul order and chemicals coming through my apartment is not right. I wrote the apartment relations and they will no longer respond to me. They stated someone would have to smell, now the worker has smelled a chemical, the security came up and he had already reported the gas like smells near, and two residents have smelled it. I believe management knows something is going on. About two weeks ago (early in the morning) I noticed there were non smoking notices on 6 doors. It just happened to be the ones near me, my door and a few others did not have the notice.

Ok another poor review. I have lived here for three years. Let me tell you what to expect…read more Management. Unresponsive and slow. I have been locked out of my apartment 4 times for several hours once with groceries due to a failed lock. The locks they have you cannot call a locksmith as they do not have the ability to open the electronic and battery operated system. It took them 1 years to replace this lock and they did not offer anything not even a simple apology. As a matter of fact, management has treated me and my family as a problem. I pay rent on time, take good care of the apartment, alert them when there are issues with the community l and make sound recommendations. I am a good steward and look out for other residence as well. So it's safe to say I am a good renter. They do not keep their word. I had to fight for the $500 resident referral when they had a management change. Expect slow responses even in emergencies like lock outs. After hours calls are unacceptable. No personal care. When you really need help they do not show any care and when they say they will do something you will have to remind them. Location. Convenient for sure! You will have to pay for parking and there is NO GUEST PARKING. Car break ins are a regular thing. Do not leave items in your vehicle. They have a lovely 24 hour gym in sight that is good for basic workouts. Maintenance. This is a bright spot. They have a wonderfully responsive maintenance team right now. Except after hours, they respond relatively well. The reason I am leaving a 1 star review is the poor management and service during my residency. It was that bad. Now you know what to expect.

The property manager was responsive, and the staff was almost always friendly. The only issue we had with staff happened about a month and a half into living in our apartment when we discovered under our sink was leaking. At first it was just a bit of water so we both assumed the other had been spilling, but it grew and grew until under the kitchen sink was essentially flooded. The day we realized what had been happening we went into the management office and told them. They said they would send someone to look at it the next day, which never happened (which is okay, with this many units you expect some miscommunication from even the best), so a few days later we sent in a work order. All three of us are young college students so wanting to be polite, we submitted a work order that said something along the lines of "Not urgent, just whenever you can get to it!". This might have been a mistake, but again we are all young and trying to be polite. We received a notification that they would be coming on Friday morning, and the maintenance guy did. My fiance and I were at the grocery store when our roommate called us, sounding a bit freaked out, and asked us to come home. The maintenance guy had (and I was not there so I do not know exact quotes) said something along the lines of "since you didn't report this when you first knew, you might have to pay for the repair and it might be thousands of dollars". I know he said something like this because he discussed it again when we got home, and I mentioned that we had come in person and nobody had come, and the "extensive mold" he had pointed out couldn't have formed so quickly. We did end up not getting charged for it (at least so far, our lease is not technically up for a few more weeks although we are moved out), which is good since we definitely should not have been, and things were otherwise fine. Residents would leave trash all over the place and management had it picked up frequently which was great (although gross of the other residents to do that). Overall, I like to cut people the benefit of the doubt and assume that the guy we talked to was just having a bad day and not trying to intimidate us because of our age, and the one other time we talked to him he was quite nice, so 4/5 stars. We also had a bit of mold in our apartment but that is common in the area and it was only in the windowsills during the winter. It definitely isn't the fanciest place in the world but for the price I would absolutely recommend it. (My yelp is under a fake name, not designed to hide anything but because in the past I had a business owner track me down on Facebook based on my review. I'm sure the property manager would know who this is based on the details and I am fine with that!)

The pictures were accurate and it was very clean and mostly remodeled inside. We were very happy to have found this apartment as it fit our needs very well. The gated area makes it feel very private and it is quiet with a view outside. The tenants were 90% the same ones the whole time so are long term and all were very friendly and quiet. We hadn't lived in an apartment before (always had houses) so we were glad our first experience was a good one. The neighborhood right outside the gate leaves a lot to be desired (reason for 1 less star) but less then 10 min away is the Southcenter mall area which is nice and has all you need. For our dog there was a grass area in the common area within the gated area that was perfect for her. The laundry facilities were good, no issues there and weren't too high priced either. The staff was quick to respond to anything we needed and cared about us enjoying our stay. Finding a furnished apartment at this price was hard to find so we were very satisfied. We would recommend it to someone in a similar situation as us or even for a longer time would be fine.

I feel compelled to write this review for a couple of reasons: First, because of the very pleasant…read morestay we had from March to June of 2014 while visiting from Canada, and second because of the disparaging and untrue remarks left in a previous post: Let me start by saying that Tukwila is not Bellvue, and unless you want to pay three times the price for a fully furnished apartment then you've found the right place. About ten blocks from Sunrise Suites is a very ethnically diverse area, full of small shops from countries all over the world, which I frequented regularly and never felt uncomfortable or out of place. A few blocks in the other direction is the new Deptartment of Homeland Security office, Boeing headquarters, and you are also close to Microsoft and the airport ( a large number of the tenants in Sunrise are people who work at those companies). By car you are about ten minutes from Tukwila mall, that has anything and everything you could possibly want. From Chipotles, to Macy's, Teavana, Starbucks, Target, banks, to upscale ( and awesome ) sushi, Thai food, the movies, and pretty much anything you can think of. You are close to the Tukwila train station that will take you to Seattle central in about 25 minutes for $3.50 each way, or you can drive into the city in about 15 mins during off-peak hours. Our apartment was just like the photos, and the service was beyond our expectations. One thing a previous poster mentioned is that Sherry and her family are very charming -- This is absolutely true! And if you are fortunate enough to deal with this family I can tell you that you will instantly notice that the charm comes from a true, honest -- and actually a very loving place -- in terms of the desire to provide you with good value for your money while staying there. For the price, location and quality, I honestly don't think you could do much better. It's worth booking an appointment to check it out and decide for yourself. If you have any questions about my experience while staying there please feel free to contact me and I would be more than happy to respond. Best Regards, Shawn Phillips stphillips1969@gmail.com

They aren't owned nor managed by a single company. The Bristol Apartments, for example, is owned by one investment company that is different than the empty towers and the Hyatt is a Hyatt property. It's a bit confusing if this review is for the neighborhood? Do we review neighborhoods now? And it is for all intents and purposes a neighborhood. There's one road in and one road out with the Hyatt, the Bristol, Tra, Peyrassol, the Seattle Family Center, Dock and Drink, and Water's Table filling out the portfolio. It is very pleasant with Coulon Beach Park next door and excellent viewing of fireworks when that resumes. With the parking garage there's plenty of parking though I cannot stress more than ever do not leave any valuables in sight in your vehicle. Southport may be isolated, but that isn't a deterrent for thieves. Personally I'd recommend parking where there's foot traffic since the upper levels are vacant I've only seen smashed out windows at those levels. And it is a pleasant place! In the summers it is busy. The water is so close and the views amazing. I love the four restaurants. It can get loud, and with the exception of a few incidents in 2020 due to people being angry about the mandates at the time it is a very safe space where families, dog walkers, and cute couples gather. Many a wedding takes place in the warmer months so it isn't uncommon to see beautiful gowns and fancy tuxedos, though I'm partial to the Indian weddings since the guests come in beautifully colored saris. There is a lot of diversity at the waterfront and that makes it a wonderful place to be. The winters can be busy too with Coulon Beach Park putting up lights for the holidays and Argosy cruises bringing the Christmas boats by. I always appreciate the carolers. I only wish people would acknowledge the road properly. Drivers ignore the speed limit signs, occasionally just stop in the middle street, or try to double park. Pedestrians often aren't much better because though there's a great sidewalk that connects the docks to the Bristol running up to Coulon Beach Park they'll just walk down the middle of the road like it's a bike path. I have seen a few close calls with pedestrians almost being hit because they're walking down the road instead of the sidewalk. It is a great area.
