Apparently, there was a party of 30 people in the dining room and they weren't seating any more in there, so it was a 20 minute wait for bar seating. The hostess seemed a little bit disorganized but we put our name down and got some drinks at the bar while waiting. I had a grapefruit moscow mule and he had an orange moscow mule. Both very good! There was some live music in the bar. A little bit loud, but I guess that's to be expected. Finally, a server saw us sitting and waiting and asked if we needed anything. We explained that we were just waiting for a table. After pulling some strings, she managed to get us a table in the dining room without the wait or bothering the large party group. We had the Classic's spread for an appetizer (cheese and bacon with little garlic toasts...how can you pass that up!), french onion and clam chowder soup, spinach salads with hot bacon dressing, and the Nueske's bacon wrapped beef tenderloin. We took some turtle cheesecake home for dessert. Overall, a very nice restaurant! I would come back!

Really cool taproom. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Upstairs seating. One night that I was here there was trivia. Once in a while, there's a food truck otherwise I have some pretzels and snacks, merchandise, stickers, And beer to in growlers. Plenty of parking.

Bear Paw has a lot to offer, including: kayaking, lodging, gear and incredible food. It's in a stunning location, very near the Wolf River. We had a " pub style, plank pizza". Eric, one of the owners and operations manager, was cook, bartender, server and entertainer. He does it all with a smile and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend you try this place. It's on a stretch of Hwy 55 that winds and dips and while it is fun to drive, is a puke factor "8" out of 10 when I'm driving with my cat. Yeah, I drive with my cat.
