The interior is very colorful and welcoming, with greens, reds, and yellows, the colors of the Afghan flag, which was very cool. Our server was a young man (we think he was possibly the owner's son), and he was professional and efficient in taking our orders and keeping our drinks filled. Our group tried many dishes and each one was flavorful and came as a generous serving. We started with the potato bolani, which was a soft and fluffy naan type bread filled with potato and served with a lassi type dip and a chutney - it was also perfect to go with any of the meat dishes we tried. We also had the Mantu to start - a tasty little dish of succulent lamb dumplings, with a savory and sweet topping of beans and yogurt. Very interesting flavor profile for sure. Another dish we tried was the Chicken Biryani which came atop some flavorful rice. The chicken was dark meat, which I'm not usually a fan of, but it worked in this case. It was also topped with a lot of onions and an egg, which I wasn't a fan of, so just did not eat those parts. One of us had the Chicken Breast Cube Kebabs which came as little cubes atop the rice, with a hefty helping of a red sauce/marinade that had a little bit of heat. Needed another lassi to cool down after this one! Another tried the Lamb Kabob which is an absolute classic and you can't go wrong ordering that. We shared a few desserts to try: -Baklava/Baghlawa, which can be found in many cultures (Greek, Turkish), so I'm sure many have had this dessert. Nuts, dough, honey, yum. -Sheer Peera, which was described as a "milky fudge" and tasted very nutty but with a slightly floral flavor added in. Overall, I'd say this is a great place to try Afghan cuisine. It's not fine dining or anything, and definitely be prepared for some spicy flavors - but it's for sure a place to try a few new things!

There is a buffet where you can pay by the pound, and a menu of stand alone items. The buffet dishes included several rice options, different meats, and eggplant, among other things. Between my friend and me we had almost everything on the buffet, and it was all good and flavorful. I also had a chai team and he had brewed black tea. Both teas were richer than elsewhere. There is plenty dining room features some decorations from Afghanistan, and a video was playing describing regions of the country. There is plenty of parking behind the building, which can be accessed from both the front and back of the building. Cant wait to go back!

There are roughly 10 tables each seating 4, 3 semi-private rooms seating 4-6 people, and 1 larger room in the back as well as some outdoor seating. There was only 1 other table seated outside when we were there. And, I'm not sure why. The food is amazing. Now, I've never had this cuisine before. So, I'm not sure how it compares to others in the same category. First off, the menu has picture of everything. It is so helpful when you are not familiar with the cuisine. Our server was very attentive and answered all questions politely. He filled our waters at least 5 times during the meal. We split the following: Mantu (an appetizer), (Beef) Afghan Burger Wrap, and the Chicken Shami Kabob. The Mantu is basically an Afghan take on a dumpling, covered in lentils, yogurt sauce, and spices. I have enjoyed every cultures' take on dumpling: empanadas, gyoza, etc. and this is no exception. This was probably my favorite part of the meal. The Afghan Burger Wrap is your choice of beef or chicken. We chose beef. It was very good and I would definitely get it again (especially as it was the cheapest thing we got). Last was the Chicken Shami Kabob which was served with rice and then a roast jalapeño and tomato. Another reviewer said the rice was too plain.
