They have the best birria noodles in Lincoln ne. Really friendly staff and portions are great for the price you pay.

A La Carte is the newest of the food truck family here in Lincoln, and I finally got around to…read moretrying it. They have a website, facebook and twitter page for patrons to find out where they are during different meal times. This is a food truck and moves all over the city. My boyfriend and I went to try them out when they were at the Lincoln Racquet Club. It happened to be the same time as the Old Chenney Farmer's market, so we considered this a win/win. I also saw on their facebook page that their food would feature some of their homegrown produce that day. The menu is limited, but that's to be expected when your kitchen is on wheels and you're using lots of local ingredients. They have "nada tacos," lettuce wraps, lobster mac and cheese, grilled zucchini succotash, basmati rice, rice and beans and chips and salsa. We decided to try a variety of the nada tacos. I got the thai chicken (chicken, pineapple chutney, thai curry sauce) and a horsey taco (beef, swiss chard, horseradish coleslaw). My boyfriend got a pork green chili (green chili pork, cilantro, pickled red onions and queso fresco) and a horsey taco. The tacos come in a type of flat bread instead of your typical flour or corn tortilla. My thai chicken was good, but was a bit bland. The horsey taco I had was more flavorful and I enjoyed the crunch from the slaw. I loved the bite I had of the pork green chili taco that my boyfriend got. When I go again, I'll definitely get that. The pork was tender and juicy, the cilantro, pickled onions and queso were a perfect topping. Very good. My biggest complaint is the flat bread type shell. The meats and sauces were so juicy, that it got really, really soggy right away. The soggy flat bread made it hard to eat, and distracted from the tasty meats and fresh ingredients of the fillings. I think I'd prefer a tortilla instead, or perhaps it would help if the flat bread was grilled a little bit before putting the fillings on it? I am definitely going to go back and try some of the sides on the menu and get more of the pork chili tacos. When I feel like really indulging, I'd love to try the lobster mac and cheese. Overall, this is another great addition and I'm excited to see what they can do. It just didn't quite knock my socks off like I thought it would.

Maaaan... this has to be one of the best food trucks in town. They serve delicious fried chicken and the customer service is on point. This is a 'must-try' for fried chicken enthusiasts. From the moment I stepped up to the window, I was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady which immediately set the tone for the rest of my experience. The menu had a great selection ( fried chicken, pizza puff, cat fish, etc) to choose from, plus fries and a drink. I decided to go for their 6 piece fried chicken meal, which came with a side of perfectly crispy fries and an orange soda. And let me tell you, the chicken was simply amazing. It was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on and the chicken was so tender that it melted in my mouth. Even though the service is phenomenal, you're going to have to wait at least 10 minutes for your food to cook up. But it's well worth the wait. The young lady was very attentive to every customer and made sure that we were all catered to quickly and with a smile on her face. Definitely pull up if you're in the area. Great food and great service. This food truck has it all - delicious eats and a friendliness that makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. I will definitely be visiting again soon.
