Our fave Arab joint was closed, so we decided to try this spot. We just got a chicken schwarma wrap, hummus, pita, and baklava cheesecake. Not terrible. Not awesome. I don't imagine we will return. My daughter just left her track meet, so was SUPER HUNGRY, and even then was not impressed. The chicken was super moist, but not very well seasoned, just kinda blah. The lettuce and other veg were super fresh and crunchy. The tzatziki was delish. The hummus could have been smoother, but had decent flavor. I prefer more tahini. The cheesecake was decent, but again not spectacular. read more

Service: I went on a Saturday night when they were very busy. The staff was very friendly and wasn't breaking a sweat keeping up with the rush. Location: Great spot on O street across from the Bourbon. Lots of metered parking and close to a few garages. Everything seemed super clean and freshly remodeled. There were lots of people but the sound wasn't overly loud which was great. Vegetarian Food: There were 2 vegetarian options on the menu. Falafel and Vegetarian Korma. I got the korma. It was extremely bland. Basically some frozen veggies with a tad bit of tomato esque sauce. 85% of it was rice. The potatoes also weren't cooked enough. I've heard great things from my meat eating friends. So I'll chalk this experience up to the menu item or a one time thing. read more

Finally had the chance to try this place and It didn't disappoint. They have a variety of curry dishes and some hand helds like gyro, shawarma and falafel. I got the gyro plate and it was really good and definitely hit the spot for my Mediterranean craving. The place is self-service, so you'll order at the counter and they'll bring your food to your table once ready. Plenty of seating at the back and very clean. Pita & Naan has been a new staple for me in Lincoln. The food is great, my favorite of the local Mediterranean places, but Pita & Naan especially shines in service and value. I usually get the spicy chicken shawarma, and it's consistently great. Every employee is extremely pleasant, and the place is usually busy. I highly recommend! I've been here a couple of times and the food and service are spot on! I do feel like I'm "cheating" on equally fabulous Mediterranean restaurants nearby. I tend to order off the menu because what I want is a bed of salad with chicken on it, lemon potatoes, and a pita on the side which is different than the menu item that has a side salad. my husband and i were driving cross country and while in nebraska we ordered food from this restaurant to our hotel. the falafel my husband ordered was great, the CHICKEN korma I ordered was just and order of basmati rice with a greek side salad. no chicken, and the food was very expensive for not great quality. save your time+money and order elsewhere if you ask me. read more

Great food and great service! Both times I have been in, the owners are so nice and helpful. They explained what came with each meal option and what the flavor profile was of the two things I was deciding between. This time I got the yellow curry chicken and spicy tzatziki, such a great combo. You get a lot of food, I had the rest for lunch the next day. I love their garlic naan too, and they make it fresh to order which is awesome! Their lentil soup is also very good, lots of flavor and very filling. I love this place. Often when you walk in, you'll be greeted warmly by the proprietor, a kindly and talkative man. The interior is sparse but there's interesting artwork for sale on the walls and a fun photo-op wall. I usually get the Chicken Tikka Korma with seasoned rice. The chicken is always so tender, delightfully seasoned, and comes with delicious potato wedges and some veggies. Then I get a side of extra potatoes or bolani, essentially an Afghani quesadilla. Usually I'm able to stretch that into two meals since they give you so much. But really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu--the gyros are killer, the falafel is tasty, and the shawarma would be worthy of the Avengers. There's a reason it's named after their pitas and naan. And don't forget the baklava! read more

I got the chicken tikka korma with the salad, potato wedges and tzatziki sauce. Everything tasted good but I do have some thoughts about the chicken. I feel like more spices could have been added to the chicken in order for it to taste more South Asian. I'm talking cumin, turmeric, garam masala or something. I could tell that they used a tomato based for it and yeah you can use tomatos to make the based but that does mean it should taste like that only, you know? Now the best Gyro + Mediterranean and more place in town! If you know, you know! The former employee from Ali Baba's and his son own this place. Now in addition to getting my usual amazing hot and spicy gyro plate, I can also get things like chicken curry or beef/meatball korma! All have been good but my favorite will always be my classic spicy gyro. Love this place! It's a fam fave! Food is delicious and servings are huge! Everything we've had has been great...gyros, chicken shawarma, potatoes, baklava.
