Oh my goodness! The shakes, ice cream and banana splits are amazing! I had the Reese's ice cream in a chocolate sugar cone... delicious and creamy! Hit the spot after an afternoon of riding dirt-bikes. Located in a quaint little town. The waitresses were on point and took our orders promptly. Definitely a go- to if you're in the area!

This is a hidden gem in little Bramwell, WV. Step back in time to a classic soda jerk shop with an atmosphere and menu to match. Don't let the lack of cell service scare you away The wait staff were an absolute joy and had wonderful recommendations. We tried 2 of the 3 and she nailed them. 1 of the BEST burgers I've ever had. Easily top 3 and I've had greasy spoon burgers and $100 Kobe beef burgers from Vegas. My coworkers and I were able to try Miss Piggy fries that have pulled pork bbq and cheese. The bbq is so good. We all had different burgers or sandwiches with fries or onion rings. Not one complaint and not much talking while eating...a definite sign of a good meal. We also decided to try the milkshakes...OMG. Leave room...or don't. Just get one and suffer afterwards. You'll be glad you did!!!

This place has the ultimate 1950s vibe. They don't miss one detail. That's from the decor to the music to how the staff is dressed to the way the food is presented. Good good and homemade ice cream too! To be fair, I wasn't around in the 1950s, but I've seen Back to the Future a few times and this place is right on the money, minus the flux capicator. Definitely recommended. A cool experience.

Milkshakes and burgers during an UTV adventure break. I HIGHLY recommend this place! I had the porky pig burger and a chocolate banana malt. The customer service was incredible and our waitress (Mandy) was super nice--I would give her 5/5 every time. Only reason we took two stars off was for the burgers being pretty over cooked. The milkshakes and fries are the way to go here!

What a true gem. What fun nostalgia and more. Between the retro look, old fashion candy and soda pop,and a old Dolly Parton picture it had me. I seen things I totally forgot about.. And left me with happy thoughts of old times. I've never heard of Bramwell and I'm a WV native..Bridgeport to be exact... But my spouses father,my father in law was from here.. Couple weeks before this planned trip..my spouses grandpa passed...and after funeral they came here. At end of day and spouse called me to check in. Proceed to tell me about this amazing icecream spot. So on our planned trip to my hometown, we happen to be very close in route on way. So we stopped. At my delight it was fabulous..and town was so quaint and cute. Loved everything in the small area. Props to the owners of this collective of memories. Keep up the great work.

I had the hot fudge sundae after eating a bacon lettuce and fried green tomato sandwich called "The Elizabeth". Very good food.

We stopped there yesterday after taking a day trip to Pinnacle Rock State Park. This place is full of nostalgia. The food is excellent. Grayson, our server, was very friendly. This is a very neat place. I highly recommend it.

Took a drive down to southern WV for the Bramwell Spring Tour of Homes and had lunch at the Bramwell Corner Shop and without a doubt it's a hidden gem. Service was a little dicey to start, but in their defense, it was probably busier today that almost any other day for the small town. We ordered the chili slaw burger, chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger (no bun) all with fries. Everything was delicious. The toppings tasted fresh and the housemade sauces were excellent; especially the jalapeño sauce. The chili slaw burger had distinct flavors and the fries were fresh cut. As someone who typically doesn't like jalapeños, I was surprised to find the breaded ones on my chicken sandwich were not too spicy but had a great flavor. Honestly one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The buns and croissant were fresh and nicely toasted. The restaurant itself also features house made ice cream and soda from an antique soda fountain. Sadly, we're so full we didn't get to try the ice cream.

One of my favorite places I've been to in quite some time. Truth be told, I took my girlfriend and her daughter here with the preconceived notion that the food would be your average typical diner food, but we'd probably end up with some pretty good ice cream for dessert.... I was wrong! It's so much more than I expected. Firstly, let me say that the restaurant is incredibly charming and nostalgic. The wait staff is made up of young and energetic young adults that really add to the feel of a mid century soda shop. Now on to the food. My girlfriend and I ordered two of their specialty burgers, the Elvis and Chubby Checker. They were both fantastic, and not just some frozen burger as I had kind of expected. These were fresh, made to order burgers with great buns. And the fries were fresh cut as well. Even the Mac and Cheese on top of the Chubby Checker Burger was delicious. We were both blown away with the quality of the food. Additionally, her daughter ordered chicken fingers, as most kids do, but they even appeared to be of a higher quality than most other places offer. Needless to say, she really enjoyed her meal as well. And now on to the most important part.... DESSERT! Let me just say this place lives up to the hype in that regard for sure. We ordered a scoop of their homemade peanut butter ice cream, a chocolate milkshake, and a hot fudge brownie sundae. They were all incredible! We couldn't have been more pleased with our visit, and we already can't wait to go back!

Visiting The Stashe in Fayetteville…read more While visiting the ring shop in Fayetteville, we stopped by The Stashe next door. We were in West Virginia with family and our dog, and were happy to see they offer a pup cup for dogs. I went with the Blue Panda after some deliberation, but also sampled the Dark Chocolate Raspberry--both were excellent. Portions are generous for the price, and even though my cup looked small, it was still a great bang for the buck. Here's what we had: * Pistachio (cone) * Blue Panda (cup) * Cappuccino Crunch (cup) * Pup Cup (for our dog) Every flavor was delicious, and we'd definitely come back when visiting Fayetteville and the surrounding West Virginia area.

Tasty ice cream in Fayetteville!…read more This shop shares a space/doubles as a restaurant ("The Take Out"). Parking is a little tight since it's downtown but we made it out okay. There's a little bit of outdoor seating and a few tables inside but it's mostly to-go. They serve Hershey's brand ice cream and have a large selection, including sugar free and dairy free options! The space is very cute and has lots of fun stickers/posters/decor. Service was fast and friendly! I wasn't wowed by the flavor selection -- it didn't super suit my preferences -- but we did come at the end of the day at the end of the week, so I certainly could've had better luck at a different time. We all wound up with Moose Tracks (vanilla base, fudge ribbon, peanut butter cups) and it was enjoyable, like all Moose Tracks! We were happy and it was a nice way to round out our time in WV. If you're looking for a treat, this is a good option!

I had no idea exactly what this place was. My colleague kept referring to it as just a Moose. And a lot of use know that means something else, more in lines with a bar. The person that invited us out to here for the event didn't give us much information about what we should expect. But I am happy I came here, because of how unique of a place this is. Most people would assume that this may be a place for ice cream and you'd be partially right. This place is a mix of things that you would not expect. First and foremost, it is a well used coffee shop. Even though there is a well known national competitor right up the road. There is a steady stream of vehicles in and out throughout the day. Inside, in the coffee portion of the space, it gives definite coffee shop vibes. Couches, armchairs, tables, books, magazines, etc. That coziness could be a big draw on a cold day. I had myself a chai tea latte from here and it was delicious. They are quick with their ordering process and making of the drink. What else is here you ask? Well, let me tell you. There is an ice cream parlor tucked away on the opposite side of the coffee shop. You can enter this through the coffee shop or from the outside entrance on the side of the building. This area, then leads you to another location on the lot. Putt-Putt. Behind the building, there is a miniature golf course built into the hillside. One that is West Virginian history themed. Another thing this place has is an indoor climbing wall. I didn't get a chance to check that out.

From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.
