I have made the drive through West Virginia countless times coming from Pittsburgh heading south, and also driving back to Pittsburgh. Thus, I have always seen Tudor's along the way but had never stopped at one before this particular trip. And man I was really missing out! Given that this was a Friday during Lent, I was unable to try any of the meat sandwiches. I opted for the Dottie, which was a biscuit with egg, cheese, and a hash brown. First off, the biscuits are giant! The sandwich was yummy and very filling. I feel like this sandwich was double the size of one you would get at a fast food place. Additionally, I tired the Tator Rounds, which were crispy and delightful. My favorite item was the Country Apples. They were soft, sweet, and exactly what I hoped they would be. I will definitely get these every time I stop in the future. Also got a small Hot Coffee, along with a side of Sausage Gravy that I did not personally have but were both reported to be good! The price was very reasonable, especially given the size of the sandwiches and sides. They also had deals, like BOGO $1 sandwiches. The service was fast and friendly. Given I had never been, the employees answered all my questions kindly. The outside of the restaurant was cute, and appeared to be well-kept. We visited the drive-thru so I did not see the inside! Like I said, I have been missing out by never stopping here on my previous trips. I will be frequenting this restaurant during my future trips through West Virginia. read more

Fantastic biscuit chain with some tasty dinner offerings. I stop by Tudor's when I'm passing through WVa. The breakfast biscuits are solid and the sweet tea delish. This location is a bit off the highway and has a more local clientele. The entrance is easier to get to then leaving back to the highway. Parking is plentiful, as well as seating inside. This time I stopped around lunchtime and switched it up and decided to try their dinner offering. The food came out fairly quick and hot. Cracker Barrel was my comp. Cubed steak: never had a fast food offering. It was pretty average. Mash potatoes were pretty standard as well. Gravy was nice and peppery, but a little too thick for my preference. Pintos and green beans were good. Overall I've had better, but wasn't served as fast, so if you're looking for a quick sit down for country cooking, this is an alternative. read more

I never complain. In fact, this is my first ever negative review. 4 cars ahead of us in drive in. Over an hour wait to get our food. Then we get it, check our bag and we were short a couple items. We had to go back in and get it. Then when we get home, the bacon on our biscuits and breakfast platters was nearly uncooked. I enjoy medium cooked bacon, but this bacon was on the griddle less than 30 seconds. Their prices are higher than all quick service restaurants in the area. It's understandable for the most part though because the quality has always been there. However this is the 3rd time in a row the quality has been less than stellar. For all those N.C. travelers, I've always compared Tudors to Biscuitville. I would always say that Tudors was better. In fact, I've always encouraged people to go to Tudors for those outside of the area. Those days are over though, at least for the location on Stafford. read more

The place is a 70's throwback and my fellow diner was curious about the sign assuring every dish is "ladled in love". The country steak and gravy was okay but far from great. The gravy was floury and incredibly bland. The mashed potatoes were equally meh. The pintos and corn bread were excellent. read more

I live this place it's usually really good but today not sure who made the gravy but after waiting in drive thru for 30 min I got a gravy 2 and sweet tea. tea was not sweet and no ice and the gravy was burnt wit's burnt sausage I took a few bites and threw it away it was awful I hate that they use sausage from the day before in their gravy it's noticeable even if you didn't know that's what they do read more

4 stars might be a little high, call it 3.5, but it is good for what it is, and cheap, with good service and open when you need it. I had seen highway signs for Biscuit World while passing through the area before, and love biscuits but was skeptical of a chain. While staying in Princeton I ended up coming here twice, because I wanted to give it a shot and because they were open when most other places weren't. First time was as I got to town. They were closing, and out of sausage gravy (!!!) But I needed a snack and got a "Mountaineer," a breakfast sandwich. Biscuit, country ham, egg, cheese, hash browns. Good biscuit, big, and sturdy enough to hold the other ingredients, but not overly tough. Good ham; cheese and egg were good enough. It ain't health food, but it was tasty and filling. Next time was Thanksgiving morning. Wow, they were open! I finally got the biscuits and gravy and... meh. The gravy at my hotel free breakfast was better (to be fair, that stuff was much better than I expected.) The biscuits were the same, and held up to the gravy. Big portion, decent but nothing amazing, and low price. Always low prices. And table service- they bring it and clean up. So, a great value for good food. And, open a lot. Tudor's Stafford Drive has potential to be great...but it's not. We typically use drive-thru...beware! Something is always missing but guarantee you have been charged. I can't get enough of this place. You really don't find a lot of privately owned restaurants in this part of West Virginia so corporate owned is what you get. With that being said, the place is run with the pride, care and quality of a "mom and pop" place. If I lived in the area I'm sure I would be a daily/long time customer. Good gravy and biscuits breakfast but workers need better training, went to pick up breakfast for myself and my son while waiting the employee working the drive through walked back to counter where customers are waiting and she was eating a sandwich shoving it in her mouth and talking to another employee at same time saying customer in the drive through line was complaining that service was taking too long even though she said they were fully staffed, all the time this employee is chewing down on the sandwich in her hand and talking with mouth full of food all customers in the waiting area could hear this and watch her chowing down, not very clean or professional!! read more

I love going to Tudors. I have not had a bad experience at any of the 5 locations I've been to and this one in Princeton is no different. I am on a low carb diet so I love their low carb meal platter. I know it is just eggs and sausage but it is so much better than what you get at McDonald's. This Tudors is about a 10 minute drive from all of the hotels in Princeton. If you're not from the area and you're looking for something different to eat for breakfast...this is the place. True to the name, the biscuits are amazingly good and there's so many combinations to choose from for your biscuit. In addition, they have plenty of full breakfast platters to choose from too.
