This is a really cool spot in Brooklyn. When I came in I was surprised by how nice the bartenders were! They were so down to earth and really friendly. I was definitely intrigued by The Corners when I saw we had to enter through a curtain. We sat down just in time for some food and booze. We were not ready for the kind of welcome we received from the people behind the bar! They were so nice and down to the earth, and seemed genuinely interested in having us as customers. We had their mulled wine which is kept in a kind of crockpot to maintain its warm temperature. I was skeptical at first but it tasted so delicious! It's very easy to drink and it's flavorful. To eat, we ordered some chicken schnitzel and fries. The food came out hot and delicious, and the prices are more than fair. I noticed that they have Prosecco on tap which is pretty interesting! Towards the back they have an elevated open floor and an extension of the bar so people can enjoy their drinks while standing or dancing. I don't frequent Bedstuy but I would definitely return for The Corners. read more

The best thing here is definitely its people! The bartenders and servers are so incredible, they are funny, warm and social (if you want them to be) and I can tell they have local regulars that come swing by just because they are cool with them. I love that! The food is pretty fire, and the ambience is that cozy mix between nice enough for a nice date, but not too nice where you can't just dress down for a casual beer with a friend to catch up. The music in here was pretty poppin with all my faves, r&b to afro-caribbean beats, but not so crazy loud as I did see a couple people come in with laptops to get some work done while eating some dinner. They were even having open-mike/ stand up night in the back space which was awesome, and there was a sliding door that could separate it as its own venue space which is great in itself for people who might want to just do their own thing at the bar. My only wish is for a better happy hour! It's $2 off beers, wines and wells until 7pm. My friend and I picked this spot in bedstuy closer to home to avoid spending too much catching up over weekday drinks, but the cocktails come in at $13 each, which isn't that much cheaper than what you might find in downtown manhattan, if not more expensive. A couple drinks and some food after, you're probably going to spend at least $40-50 after tip and taxes, but you're definitely getting what you pay for! read more

Okayyyy! Bed-Stuy is littered with cool spots & this is one. Stopped by on a Saturday night to meet a friend where DJ One was spinning the jams. As soon as you walk in you see the bar in the right & mirrors on the left side. Give your face a nice once over. Further back is a small dance area. The cool, shake my tail feather folk were out & we had a ball! Ordered a bite to eat. Fries with grilled cheese & I'm not a big fan of cheese. I eat it sparingly for sure, but the sandwich I received was yummy. I could not eat it all. The bartenders are on point & knowledgeable. Gotta appreciate that! This is a cool watering home for post-2nd wave gentrification survivors and the like. Vibe is very 70-90's babies and LGBTQ friendly. And it still so Mita somewhat on the edge of good and not-so-hood. So there's an edge if you didn't know any better. ;) Very chill. And the bartenders are also chill. Come with good vibes only. It's chill it be chilled. Rainy nights and after day-party friendly. Cool to sit at the bar in subdued angst or with a small group of friends. This cash only joint is lovely to stop into for a mid-week beer they have on draft. I frequent walking by Corners and every single time I can't help but think, "this isn't on a corner..." Mellow mood of a place, wasn't too impressed with the cocktail game. Nice elevated seating near the back of the bar that lets you have an overseeing perspective. read more

This place is literally incredible. I walked in here randomly with a friend. I had just spent the last of my doe on a matcha latte but I told my friend I wanted beer cuz I had a hard day at work and she said she would buy so I was like cool let's get beer. And we walked in here. Cool spot. I truly appreciate the comfort of the stools and the bar. I need a place to rest my weary feet when I'm having a drink and the corners provides I got the cheapest beer on draft (el presidente $5) since my friend was buying. We were actually getting to know each other for the first time. She's old friends with my bass players wife and she's super cool and talented. Anyways the beer was tasty and not watered down like some other crappy places. Also surprise surprise my friend bought food! Yum thanks for feeding me. She got chicken tenders and fries. Yum yum. The breading on the tenders was nice and crumbly and the tenders definitely live up to the name cuz they were tender. And the fries were perfectly salted with just the right amount pepper, really escalated the classiness of the classic shoe string cut fries. Yum so good. I love love love this place. Very nice bar. We were staying close by on a vacation to New York and since my sister and father went to bed early my mum and I went there for a drink. The music is on the loud side but nice and energetic. The bartenders were very friendly. We had cocktails. They were very nice and refreshing, I can't say anything about the price since I don't know New York standards. Very nice bar. Nice dark lighting that gives the feeling of a cozy intimate space. A male/female duo worked the bar on the night that I visited and provided excellent service.
