We were on our way back to Milwaukee from a visit to northern Wisconsin and were looking for a…read more"better for you" option for a place to eat on the way home. The cafe caught our attention. It was a cute cafe and loved that the ingredients are locally sourced. The cafe is accessible even if you aren't going into the Farm Exploration center, and it provides a good amount of options including sandwiches, bakery, and variety of drinks and other snacks. We both go the Turkey panini and a beverage and it was delicious. Came with a side of potatoes and small salad, perfect for what we were looking for. We popped in the gift shop and checked out the World's Largest Potato Masher while we visited and it was great to learn a little bit about the grounds and facilities, we will definitely come back to check out the rest of the building.

For a place that caters to kids, they only had 3 things on the kids menu. A quesadilla, buttered noodles, and a ham/turkey sandwich. My picky kids were starving and one was basically crying there was nothing he liked. He ate chips. The other two had a sandwich. I'm not sure it was worth $7. I had the caprese sandwich with chips. For $14 I would have expected a bigger sandwich. It was fairly small. It tasted good though. If I was by myself I would try a few other things on the menu, because many of the wraps and sandwiches sounded good, but I won't bring my kids back.

I frequent on Sundays when its a little bit 'slower', but somehow my order always ends up wrong! (I order off the menu with no special 'twists', so these are standard drinks Im talking about here!) I so want to love this place- but I just cant with the continual errors being made. .. Please work on being accurate Baristas- It matters..... in repeat customers and tips!

Currently there is no Starbucks in town but I see they are building one right down the road. I mentioned this only because I am partial to the Starbucks Chai Tea which I also purchase at Costco for home use. But Cravings comes as closets you can get so I really appreciate the flavor of their chai tea. They also have fast and friendly drive through service. Next day my husband did a coffee/tea run and picked up some bakery items. We stay at the Mead Hotel every 3 months for quarterly meetings so this place has been one of our staple places to run to as it is only about 1 mile away on the main drag. One good thing about being able to review the same place multiple times is you get to sample more of their product for a wider range of reviews. This morning my chai teas was not as creamy as yesterday but it was still tasty. My husband likes strong coffee black. He had their dark roast and said it was ok. He said in all honesty the free hotel Coffee was better. I'm not a coffee drinker but I know my husband is fussy. We picked up two scones -chocolate chip and blueberry and they were served warm. The scones were fresh and not dry as some scones can be. They were tasty with a hint of sweetness. We also picked up two giant cookies - one chocolate chip and one white chocolate macadamia nut. The chocolate chip was chewy soft but the macadamia nut was very hard which suggests to me it may have been sitting around for a while. Both cookies were ok, nothing that would wow me. We always get friendly service thru the drive through.
