That changed following a leadership transition, when the full-time director went on leave and an acting director assumed responsibility. During this period, several concerns arose. Most notably, our son was removed from his classroom and placed into a younger class so that the classroom teacher could supervise her 9-year-old son, who was present on school grounds but is not enrolled at the daycare. This occurred during normal operating hours and included times when routine care was taking place, including diaper changes, while the unenrolled child was present in the classroom. We were informed of this by administration and personally observed the unenrolled child on site. As a result, our son missed instructional time in his assigned, age-appropriate classroom. Shortly afterward, we were informed in writing that our son's continued enrollment required providing a full-time one-on-one aide. Our son has a speech delay and receives early intervention speech services; however, licensed medical and developmental professionals evaluated him and determined that he did not qualify for, or require, a one-on-one aide. When we explained that we could not meet this requirement, we asked hypothetically whether our son would be permitted to remain enrolled if a one-on-one aide were provided. We were told that he would not. Our requests for clarification did not result in further discussion. His enrollment was then ended, and no alternative accommodations were discussed prior to this decision. This resulted in sudden loss of childcare. We are sharing our experience so other families can make informed decisions, particularly those with young children who receive early intervention services or may require additional support.

From the beginning, it felt as though the administration attempted to force our child into a rigid, cookie-cutter mold rather than approaching him as an individual. In the 90 days we were enrolled, the concerns raised often felt excessive and out of proportion for a typical four-year-old. During his time there, our son was subjected to bullying and unkind behavior from classmates, which was not adequately addressed. He experienced daily emotional meltdowns, asked to be picked him up early every day, and grew to hate going to school altogether. He expressed feeling that the administration and staff did not like him, which was heartbreaking to hear from a child so young. Communication with us was overwhelmingly negative. Not once did a staff member share something positive about our son, despite him being described by multiple childcare professionals we trust as exhibiting entirely age-appropriate behavior. We received near-daily reports of issues that felt outlandish and unnecessarily alarming. Additionally, very few staff members used positive reinforcement or supportive intonation when speaking to him. Class sizes were extremely large, up to 25 children in his class! Perhaps most troubling was the inconsistency and insensitivity in communication. While staff spoke one way to us in person, they sent urgent-toned emails about our son during two major life events for our family, including one email sent just two days before our wedding, framing matters as emergencies when they were not. Early childhood education should be rooted in patience, compassion, and developmental understanding. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this location.

When you drop off you have that anxiety that NOBODY can care for your child like you. You know their different cries, their schedules, Cues. They don't know these strangers. What if the teachers can't do it like you? Well, the teachers arent you... they do it like professionals!!! You only have 1 kid... they have multiple. I've walked into the room so many times impressed that they do this day in and day out with a smile. I remember sitting at a red light soon after starting, and my daughter kept putting her hand towards her mouth. She did this a couple days before I realized she was using sign language!!! My husband and I instantly started practicing so we could recognize what our daughter was saying! It was amazing to feel we could communicate with her, and she wasn't as frustrated because we could understand her! As she she gets older, se switches to new teachers. They do a great job introducing them gradually before the full switch! 2. Baby #2 we started at 5 months old. Equal amount of tears in my eyes as I dropped off. I instantly pulled up the camera and watched them hug her and shake some toys to get her attention. My anxiety was related to bottles this time. My daughter never had a bottle. Exclusive breastfeed. We tried introducing a bottle around 4 months, using all the tricks. But no success. How would my baby eat?!!!! I was so lucky that I work next door. The teacher would give it a couple attempts and if no success they would call me and I'd walk over. They let me nurse in the backroom. I did this for a week or 2 until finally the teachers messaged me in the app saying SUCCESS!! She took her first full bottle! They were just as excited and proud as I was. The app communication center is great. Even now, we had an unusual drop off that the girls were both emotional and "off". I can just send a message "how is their day going" and they keep me in the loop!! Great piece of mind! There isn't a bad teacher in the bunch!! All the teachers know our kids names, even if they aren't in their class! We walk down the hallway and they all use their names when saying goodbye for the day!!!
