They even refinished the walnut base and legs, we were not expecting this and at no additional charge. Speaking of charge, it was more than reasonable, the interior design company we had engaged had quoted us more than double what Homan Interiors charged us, using the same material. It was a pleasure talking to the owner, it was obvious he really enjoys bringing these old chairs back to their former glory. I don't know if he makes them to order or not. I brought in a part of my futon frame that had cracked. He wasn't sure how quickly he would be able to get to it as he had many current projects. After I told him I had family coming to visit and they'd need to sleep on the futon, and he saw that for someone who knows what they're doing it was a very simple repair, he had it done very quickly. The work was expertly done and reasonably priced, and I now recommend this place to anyone who needs furniture repair. A word of warning- if you suffer from asthma, etc., the place is (quite understandably) pretty dusty. I noticed this on my first visit but also noticed that my piece was utterly gleaming when I came to pick it up. Just another sign of the attention to detail you'll get at The Chair Repair Shoppe.
