As a small business owner I do not enjoy posting negative reviews but after my husband's failed attempts to resolve this with The Countertop Center, I feel compelled to share our experience. We had done business with Countertop Center before and were satisfied with the product and their pricing. Since living out of state, we solely relied on their web site in regards to choosing design and phone calls/e-mails when it came time to order. Our most recent experience was the exact opposite of our precedent expectations. When our contractor picked up the counter and sent us a photo questioning whether we really ordered that design, we thought there was a mistake. It looked nothing like what we saw on their web site. The imitation granite top counter didn't have the "authentic look of granite" as clearly described and shown on their web site. Instead there was a very visible black line which made the counter look like an old fashioned formica. My husband made a few attempts to resolve this issues however the Mr. Haynes doesn't believe in working with his clients nor does he care to retain them unless they purchase thousands of countertops from him - that is exactly what he said. He was rude, insulting and uncompromising despite the obvious error on their site. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other countertop businesses in the valley that will be happy to help you without belittling you for buying only 3-4 countertops a year read more

Gary was phenomenal to work with from the inception of the project. He sat down with me and explained everything I needed to know about the products and the prices. I appreciated his honesty and he even talked me out of a more expensive option which was a first for me. The job was done cleanly and fast. The kitchen was left clean with no signs of work after they were done. Oh I forgot to mention that the pricing was 25% cheaper than Home Depot's quote with an upgraded edge included. My wife and I bought a new front-loading washer and dryer set for our very small laundry room. I wanted to maximize the space on top by putting a countertop across it. I measured and fortunately the width needed was the exact same size as The Countertop Center's stock countertops. I gave a call and spoke with Karon. She asked me to send measurements, as I also needed a cutout done in the rear to accommodate the water supply to the washing machine. I sent the measurements, and rather than just take them and proceed, she questioned whether or not it was accurate. I had explained to her from the start that this was going to go over our washing machine and dryer. But the depth of the nook into which the counter was going to go is only about 1/3 the depth of the machines. She noticed this and just wanted to double check, since the dimensions I gave her were shorter than a standard washer/dryer. That's some attention to detail. I assured her that the measurements were correct, and placed the order. This was on a Monday. I was told that the item would be ready later in the week. Got a call that it was ready on Weds. I was thrilled, but couldn't make it down to pick up until Thurs. Got there on Thurs and was shown the countertop with the cutout. Looked perfect. Loaded it into the car and started to head home. But then I noticed the lip on the backsplash, which I wasn't expecting. I turned around to go back and ask about this. Gary (the manager) heard me ask the question to Karon, and came out of his office to explain. Everything was fine, and my (perceived) issue was just due to my inexperience with countertops. But what stood out to me was that I only just bought a stock piece of countertop at a very reasonable price, yet Gary spent about 20 minutes explaining things to me as if I had just dropped $15000 on a custom kitchen. I got the countertop put in today. It looks great. The cutout in the back fits perfectly around the water supply and electrical outlet. The next time I need a countertop of any kind, I'm definitely headed back to The Countertop Center. read more

These folks are awesome. I had a simple countertop for a laundry room. The normal turn around time is five days. They did it in two. I went to pick up the countertop only to find out another customer took it with a large order of similar countertops with the same laminate. They offered to make it in 20 minutes while I waited. I had my dogs with me and with the outside temperature pushing 100 degrees, I hesitated. But, no problem for these wonderful people. They welcomed me and my dogs, accommodating our needs and making us comfortable and happy. Everyone we met from the front office staff, the factory floor associates and even the plant manager, everyone was just awesome. What a great experience. If I did not already have a job, I would want to work there. Oh, by the way, the countertop was really great too. I love it. This company is highly recommended. read more

As a first time homebuyer, I was more than in over my head when I began shopping around for new countertops. The big box home improvement stores quoted me over $1300 for laminate countertops. I found a craigslist ad for the countertop store and never looked back. I called the store and spoke with Karon. She was very patient and answered all my questions about the timeline and sequence of events leading up to installation. Their crews came out to measure my kitchen and nearly a week later returned to install the new laminate countertops. The new laminate countertops look great! From start to finish, the Countertop Center staff was excellent. We went through The Countertop Center after getting quotes from multiple places. They had a selection we really liked and their estimate was less than any other place but included install and old counter removal where the other bids we got did not. They were also able to install in less than a week. We were on a deadline because my husband had to go back to work and they were able to meet our deadline. Not only did they meet it but they were friendly about it and very happy to accommodate. My husband brought our dog in with him when he went to check out samples and the ladies in the front office were smitten. Then when he called they remembered him and asked all about our doggie. What great friendly service! The installation guys were in and out in under 2 hours and the finished product looks great! They were all very friendly and efficient. I got a quote from Gary, The price seemed reasonable so my wife and I decided to move forward with the project. I just head back from Gary , Turns out there's a 335$ difference between the original quote and the price we will now have to pay. I find this very unprofessional, Once you give a quote you stick with it. I know this first hand as a contractor. I would accept a 100-200$ difference but not 335$!! . Gary is awesome. He made the process so easy for us, from the first phone call to the end product. We had just remodeled our son's room and our final project was building a desk for our soon to be high school graduate. We wanted it to look really professional. We got these great storage cabinets that served as the base, but wanted a top that was durable, sleek, impressive, grown up. At first we considered granite or corian. After seeing what that would cost, we relented and decided to go with laminate. I had my reservations about laminate, because, you know...it's what people take out of their homes to upgrade to granite. My husband called Gary and from that first phone call we were hooked. He came over, was super, super nice, he measured everything and gave us a killer estimate. He came back a second time when we were all together, to show us samples of all the countertops he had. I have never seen so many options in all my life. And my worries about them not having the wow factor like granite, was quickly squelched. He had samples that looked identical to granite. I couldn't even tell the difference. It was really astonishing. We let our son have the final approval and he chose a really pretty light grey (that matched his walls). Gary said they would be ordered immediately and ready to be placed in about two weeks. Two weeks later Gary called us and said that our counters weren't on the delivery truck. He was more upset than we were. Turns out the color my son picked wasn't overly popular so it had to be specially made, which added a week. The following week Gary called us almost daily to update us on his conversations with the fabricators. He wanted us to know that he was on top of it and we really appreciated that. We've all dealt with those company's who leave your home and you're left with this pit in your stomach, wondering if they'll ever come back. Well Gary not only came back with our counters, he brought another guy with him. Together they spent the day measuring, re-measuring, cutting the counters to the perfect size. He placed the first counter and we had some reservations. They weren't quite to the end of the cabinet where we wanted because of the way the underside was made. I thought, "oh great, I'm gonna have to look at this uneven spacing forever." I'm all about symmetry, so I was having a little panic attack. My husband mentioned it to Gary and poof! He and his buddy got out their tools and voila! They were perfect. Just EXACTLY the way we wanted. They did it all in one day too. He said, because you had to wait, we are not leaving here until this is done. Who does that?? We were so impressed. When he was finished we had these amazing countertops. I cannot tell you how impressive they were. They made the room and we had some cool stuff in the room already. But this desk is by far, the best thing ever. Gary and his team made our vision come to reality, all the while being completely smooth and with a beautiful end product. If you're considering laminate, and now I can honestly say I think you should, call Gary! He'll treat you right and you'll be impressed by the quality, selection and end product. read more

BEWARE!! I got an estimate from Gary at INSTALLAIONS FOR LESS to have water stains removed from my marble countertops. Prior to getting the estimate I pointed out to Gary the water-marks that I wanted removed. On the scheduled day Gary sent a third party over who applied a chemical to 'shine/polish' the counter. The counter did shine but there was absolutely no lessening of the water marks. We assumed there had been some misunderstanding on the part of the contracted worker and assumed that we could clear it up later with Gary. Not so!! Once paid, Gary then told us that he didn't intend on removing the water stains and they, in fact, CANNOT BE REMOVED!!! Do not use this company!! They may also go by the name CABINETS AND COUNTERTOPS. read more

You will not get the job done at the time they promise.. You will not get the job done precise and good enough as they promise.. Basically, you will not get anything they promise.. In any small issue, they will not be at the same good attitude as they were before selling the product. (You can also observe this from their replies to bad comments) All you will get is a countertop which you can get from anywhere - it's not rocket science.. If you still want to go with them, go.. Last advice "never" pay them half, quarter or any amount before they finish their work, otherwise you get the quality level of what they want to give instead of what you want to get. Frustrated with the responsiveness of another countertop provider, I tried the countertop center. I sent them a detailed drawing created by a professional architect. It was a small job for a laminate desktop with a couple of holes, less than $500. They couldn't even turn around a quote in two weeks. Typical contractor, nothing special here. Working with the Countertop Center was nothing but a positive experience. I wasn't sure about the color I had initially wanted so I stopped by their showroom to look at other options. Martha was friendly and helpful as I considered other choices. When I made my selection she was quick to write up the order and process a 50% payment. I was in and out in 15 minutes which I appreciated. Countertops came in early by a few days and we scheduled installation. The morning of, the installers called me to tell me they were on their way. That was nice since they give you a two-hour window. They came and did the install however when they left I realized the sinkhole was not correct and the depth of the countertop on one side was too deep. I call Martha at the office and she quickly sent them back to my home to look at our options. They ended up being able to cut out a portion of the cabinet (without damaging the cabinet) so the sink could fit properly. They also cut down the "too deep" side and reinstalled it. They gave excellent customer service and were friendly the whole time. They were very aware of cleaning up after themselves which I also appreciated. Called in today as I had a small broken 8" piece of 70's era formica that needed fixing. The man who answered the phone (owner? Manager? I kick myself that I can't remember his name!) helped me in every way. Not only did he explain how it would be better for me to fix this problem myself, he gave me the name of the company where I could find the color and buy the part I needed and explained in detail the process and materials I would need to complete the job. He saved me a boatload of hassle and money. Next time I need countertops, this place will be my first call. I am updating my review because after a few days Gary did call me back and explain the situation. Apparently the contractor that I was dealing with wasn't his employee but a contract employee that was doing a side job. Gary, nor the Countertop Center can be held responsible for this unprofessional behavior. However it is true that it took over a week for anyone from the Countertop center to return my phone calls, after repeated messages. Gary says that the people who actually use them leave the good reviews and the people who don't leave the bad ones. I sent a request around 2 weeks ago, to which I received a response requesting a copy of the drawings for our kitchen. While compiling estimates from Home Depot and Lowes, I came across the The Countertop Center. Very happy I did! I was just going to do one bathroom and found their prices afforded me to have them provide countertops for two bathrooms, a large kitchen sink counter and an breakfast bar/island - at a fraction of the cost from the two large retailers. On top of that, their customer service was personable and so much better than the others. Made me feel like I was important and family. Aubrey and Anthony were respectful and really very nice young men. Would definitely recommend The Countertop Center to anyone looking for good quality products and workmanship! read more

I was very excited to call the counter top center and get an estimate after I had read the reviews. We called the business to schedule an estimate and it took a few days for the business to call back and schedule. We figured they must be busy so we were patient. They came out the end of last week for an estimate but never gave us an estimate. They advised that they would email us the figures and guess what we had not received any figures. We even called giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the email address was wrong or written down incorrectly. Nope. The email address was correct and was verified by the receptionist. She politely advised someone would follow up on Monday... No follow up. It is a shame when you are willing to spend money with a business and you get the cold shoulder. I guess there are other businesses out there that would like to give estimates and complete jobs and make money. I would like to amend my review based on the owner of the company reaching out. Great customer service and professional demeanor! I have not completed the work but my review is based on the high level of professionalism and customer service that I received today!
