From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs. Our room was immaculate, cool, quiet, and serviced impeccably every day. The refreshment/ snack center lines the breezeway onto the expansive veranda and steps down to the beach. It's stocked with guests favorites to enjoy 24/7. A glass door refrigerator is kept stocked with variety of Coca Cola brand soft drinks & bottled water. Lower shelves are kept well stocked with all kinds of Mars and Hershey candies from Milky Ways to M&Ms. Pretzels, Sun Chips and more varieties of Miss Vicky's potato chips. Starbucks drink machine rounds it out with a variety of hot drinks and iced coffee, made to order in under two minutes! Chocolate chip cookies fresh from the kitchen always available in registration area. Meals from their five star award winning pinched and culinary team can't be over stated. And the beach area (my reason for choosing Henderson) is gorgeous and pristine! -- it's lovely and never overcrowded, with staff constantly checking in to offer fresh towels, cold drinks, lunch and shaded setups. The dining options offered incredible variety and top-tier quality every single meal. All meals are à la cart. I enjoy this freedom to purchase specifically what I want rather than carrying a degree of cost for courses I don't order. Our meals were absolutely perfection! What truly sets Henderson Park Inn apart is the genuine warmth of the entire team. They didn't just manage a busy July week; they made us feel completely relaxed, pampered, and at home. Now at home we've realized this one week revitalized us better than two weeks anywhere else could've. Destin is a convenient location for most of the southeast. We live 6 1/2 hours drive away- pretty typical distance for many people in the southeast. But to stay at this amazing 5 Star resort right on the beach so reasonably close to home is a kind gift from God. Home now, refreshed and stocked with happy new memories too. It was easily one of my favorite vacations, but there are a few key things you need to know before booking. ​Here is the bad, the good, and the ugly: ​ The Bad & The Ugly ​Sugar Ant Infestation: On Day 1, we unpacked our sealed snacks from Publix on the counter and it was immediately swarming with ants. We had to move everything into the fridge and scrub the counters, but we still found stragglers hiding under the coffee maker. We booked a condo specifically for the kitchen, so feeling nervous to cook or leave anything out was a real bummer. ​Under-Stocked Supplies: We were only given one garbage bag for the stay and the body wash was nearly empty. We couldn't get through to the front desk via phone to request more, so we just bought our own trash bags and toiletries. Not a dealbreaker, but disappointing. ​ The Good ​Exceptional Food: Poolside food usually disappoints, but every meal here blew us away. The gastropub was a huge highlight (the fried cauliflower is a must!), and getting wings and pizza delivered straight to our condo door was so convenient. ​Gorgeous Beach & Amenities: The beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The property has multiple warm, spacious pools, 24-hour complimentary coffee, and incredible views. The day before you arrive, fill out a short form and supply a CC for incidentals (you will not be charged unless you cause damage). Check-in instructions and directions are provided with a code to enter the room. There is cleaning and staff available upon request if needed. The management texted to ask how I was doing and offered to help with anything. I felt well attended to. I only met the nice lady who does the cleaning the day I arrived. I was pretty much in meetings the rest of the time. The hotel is across from Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, very near beaches, eateries, shops, ETD. Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a short drive away. There are lots of things to do. Seaside Village, where The Truman Show (starring Jim Carrey) is nearby as well as lots of other Beach Communities, a highly touristy area. Traffic was pretty bad at peak hours in October; I don't want to know what that's like in the Summer! The grounds and my room were well maintained, nicely decorated, and furnished with more than I needed. I was there for a conference, not for the beaches, so I didn't have time to use the pool and other usual many tourist attractions. My room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. I would definitely stay there again. My room faced the chapel where there are occasional weddings. A wedding took place while I stayed there, and I had no issue with noise or even parking. There are both an elevator and stairs for those staying on the second or third floors. An ice machine was near the elevator. I highly recommend this place.

The virtual front desk attendant, Jolly, informed that I could "rest assure that my reservation was secure" that I had "nothing to worry about" and that she would "annotate" my call in her log. When I arrived in Florida, I contacted the virtual front desk attendant to confirm my reservation since it was 9am at which point Jolly informed me that my reservation was cancelled. I reminded Jolly we spoke 3 weeks ago about me arriving 1 day late and that she had assured me that my reservation was secure. She said had no recollection of the phone call and that if it wasn't in her log book, the conversation never occurred. After 30 minutes of asking to speak with a supervisor or request some sort of accommodation since we were in Florida on a family vacation, Jolly hung-up the phone. This would have been our fourth time staying at 30A Inn and Suites. Apart from the fact that I will submit a complaint to the BBB, 30 A Inn and Suites has lost me as a customer. The fact that Jolly sits in Chicago and manages the hotel virtually requiring guests to download an app is ridiculous. For anyone thinking of staying here, I strongly recommend you read the other 1 and 2 star reviews and that you stay far away from the virtually managed 30A Inn and Suites. If the owner wants to reach out to me, I'm in town through 22 August.

Our villa (#22) exceeded my expectations....really spacious with a great kitchenette that allowed us to cook breakfast & dinner daily. Nice barbecue grills (bring your own charcoal!), clean-looking pool (didn't go in....the beach is amazing), easy parking, walkable to local grocery store. The room had its little "quirks" which I found, for the most part, charming. Mostly quiet with the exception of some Drunky Drunkertons out in the pool area last night around 2 AM with a woman weeping as another woman consoled her. Blinds generally do not open. The fire alarm went off as I boiled water for spaghetti, had to temporarily disable that. The villa was surprisingly quite clean; very impressed with the floors, bed, and bathroom. Excellent shower pressure! Would definitely consider staying here again & highly recommended to budget travelers who don't sweat the small stuff and like the charming individuality of a place like this.

Recently spent a four night stay at this place, and although it has some good points it also has…read moresome glaring flaws. On the plus side it is right on the beach. It was a very short walk from our room to put toes in the sand. The beach was pristine -- amazingly soft white sand -- and the surf conditions were consistently perfect, with dolphins easily visible swimming not far offshore. The staff are super friendly and the prices were reasonable. There are a decent number of stores and restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. Now the less flattering stuff: the place is quite dated and badly in need of some upgrades. For example, not only is there no hair dryer in the bathroom, which is typically provided by most hotels in the modern age, there is not even an outlet in the bathroom to plug in your own hair dryer. Basically the rooms are clean and comfortable but very spartanly appointed. We have been time sharing for decades and are accustomed to fully equipped kitchens, but here we found barely enough dishware to serve four people. There is a pool (which we didn't use) across the street in the affiliated resort, and no hot tub. Lastly, parking is free but very tight. The bottom line is that we found the Lollye to be very quiet and relaxing for a long weekend getaway, and we enjoyed our visit, but next time we need to be better prepared to bring many things of our own.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely welcoming and kind. We checked into room 307 and it didn't disappoint. It was amazing. Super clean and cozy. We were able to see the ocean from the master, as well as the balcony and these made for some amazing morning's. They have events that we can partake in, and the sand castle building on the beach was super fun for the kids. The fact that the beach is only a 5 minute walk, if that was an even better amenity, as well as the complimentary chairs and umbrella. On the morning of my departure, I was rushing to get things to the car, doing a final sweep, and accidentally through my keys away, unknowingly. I was frantic and panicking and when I went down to the front to see if anyone had turned in any keys (At the time I didn't know I'd thrown them away) the two ladies were extremely helpful and overly accommodating to help me retrace my steps. I then said, I'd just thrown some things away, and they contacted the maintenance man, and he took my son to the trash area and low and behold my keys were there. I love everything about this place and we will definitely be back. And every time in Destin, I will be residing at The Islander.

During our stay, the construction crew was blowing sand/concrete on the roof and it ended up being all over OUR BRAND NEW JEEP 2025 parked in the parking lot of Fountaine Terrace -we just purchased it in Feb 2025! We tried to discuss this issue with the argumentative property manager an older, grouchy lady named Gail. She is a problem to the property. We saw her yelling at other residents. My wife was waiting for the elevator, and it was not working (3 times not working during our stay) and I have COPD. My wife made a comment about the elevator and my condition and the property manager starting easing her voice at my wife - who is extremely physical handicapped with 2 neck surgeries - Gail is rude, aggressive and mouthy. My wife refused to speak or acknowledge Gail after this incident. One morning we were on the elevator, just us and Gail and when my wife and I exited the elevator Gail said "bitch" as the door was closing. We tried to contact FountaineBlue about her behavior but they told us it had to go thru you guys and our host. A man that is an actual resident there witnessed Gail's behavior toward my wife and we discussed it with him several times.
