Cool bar in Memphis. Great value happy hour cocktails. Drinks are strong. Bring your pooch. Dog friendly. Love that the bar looks like a sailboat. Very cool ambiance.

Wouldn't have found out about the nice foods in Memphis. If it weren't for my friends Amanda. Who took me out and showed it to me. Now I'm in love with the food here. And really really would come back to try more. What I have to say. I've tried it out. Don't know about you.

I wanted to try a new place with friends.... And it's just not for us. I didn't think pet friendly meant the pets roam freely. Personally, I don't want pets, especially ones I don't own, around me while I'm eating. Just doesn't seem sanitary to me. Our waiter was very attentive, the drinks were made well and I really enjoyed the loaded spud. If you don't mind being around dogs like that then it's a cool spot.

How can you not love a bar that has dogs walking around for patrons to love on? The bartenders here make some amazing drinks and can make damn near anything with the huge selection of ingredients they have to choose from. The Old Fashioned was one of the best I've ever had. Prices are very reasonable as well. The atmosphere is pirate themed, but not in any overly done way. You don't have to worry about bartenders talking like pirates or carrying parrots around.

We decided to check this restaurant out as we were there for First Fridayson Broad. Arrived as it was staring to get busy. Self seating. Be mindful as they do allow pets to roam the space. Decor ties in a pirate theme. We arrived drunk happy hour, which has $4 well drinks. They are a very nice size in comparison to other locations. The menu is very simple. I opted for a pizza minus the goat cheese (which is present on several menu items). The food was delicious. Drinks well made especially for $4 well proce during happy hour. A little loud and lively, so if you prefer quiet spaces, this isn't for you. Parking wasn't an issue tonight. Decide the hustle and bustle for First Fridays on Broad. I will definitely visit again.

I almost don't want to review The Cove because I don't want anyone else to discover it.... Late to the game, I stopped by for a cold beer on a hot day. What I got was way more than I bargained for. In addition to fantastic bartenders, the atmosphere is great; almost family like. I started off with the freshest oysters I've had in Memphis in a while, and a Gin Delight. But they really had me hooked when they told me about weekly karaoke. SOLD. Straight past the bathrooms is a door that leads to nice outdoor seating. It was warm that day so I opted to stay inside, but I plan to visit that patio sooner rather than later. Grab a friend and hit up this cozy local bar. And if it's karaoke night, slide in my DM's.

The thing I notice is that they are very inclusive. They have several nights including karaoke, comedy, drag shows, and various event nights throughout the week. The owner is super sweet and inviting. She made sure to go around and speak to everyone that was there. During my visit, I did order food. I had the chess club sandwich. It is served on white bread and is filled with salami, bacon, gouda, lettuce pickle and onions. It was ok. It took forever for it to come out. People who had arrived way after us received their food quicker than we did. I had to go to the bar several times to ask about our food. I found out that the bartender was also the cook, so that semi explains the delay. I had a salad along with my sandwich. It was ok. I couldn't eat it all because the dressing was not good. I do want to state that it is a cool place to dive into if you are looking for something to do throughout the week. I not sure if the food is meant to be the central focus, but they so have vegan options in addition to a full craft and alcoholic beverage menu.

They're always cooked fresh to order, served piping hot, and incredibly juicy. The burgers are medium-sized, but they also offer a double burger option. I usually choose the regular cheeseburger, but this time I tried the "Chiflet," made with Snake River Farms Wagyu beef and topped with applewood smoked bacon, egg, and American cheese on a potato bun. Absolutely delicious! They also feature a daily burger special, which keeps the menu interesting. The crinkle fries are consistently hot and pair perfectly with the burgers. On top of that, they offer a great selection of both imported and domestic beers. The staff is always super friendly. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a burger, hang out, and enjoy the atmosphere.

I had the Dr. Gonzo burger which had a burger patty, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and bacon. Great choice of yummy ingredients to make a solid burger. The burger is kind of small but I was full after inhaling the fried and perfectly seasoned crinkle cut fries. The fry sauce was a total Hit! Service was good. Our server Becky was very friendly and helpful. The place has tables and chairs and high top tables too. The bar is dark but they do have some picnic tables near the entrance for more light. Bathrooms were clean and had a lot of personal signatures and art. I am going to return to get a different kind of burger.
